My stalker has been patiently infiltrating my life for the last six years, ever since…No, I can’t talk about that. Once upon a time, I was a normal happy woman with a fiancée and a life worth living.
Now I exist in this hell.
I can’t have friends, or family. My every move is tracked and monitored. I am hunted by the past. Despite my protests everything I say is ignored. I am a ghost existing in a world that hates me. There is no escape. Not for me. And all the while my moves are tracked by this threatening presence who knows things he couldn’t possibly know.
But all the waiting ends abruptly with the arrival of two men who bring back the agony of the past and kick start a nightmare that no one could ever imagine. Rafe and Dane have come to Hurricane to find their brother and I am the only one with the answers.
They bring me back to life. They give me purpose. They rekindle feelings I didn’t think I could have. After six years of stagnancy, I’m ready to find out everything. I’m ready to end this.
I am Jax Shade…and I have the answers you seek.
This dark romance is a why choose romance. It is a contemporary story with paranormal elements. The bad guy is not the hero, he is not morally grey or redeemable, he is evil to his core. This novel contains a lot of triggers, and your mental health is important. Please read the warnings and proceed with caution. Enjoy…
Tea Ravine has switched gears for her Eleventh Hour Duet, but there’s no need to worry something has been lost in the change: The Eleventh Hour is an excellent dark, paranormal, polyamorous romance with a suspenseful edge and a psychological thrill.
Jax Shade is absolutely stuck between a rock and a hard place: The rock is her stalker of six years and her hard place is the court-mandated psychiatrist who enjoys manipulating her and is in charge of deciding if and/or when she goes back to the insane asylum. Both of these figures rule over her entire life like two regents of fear, while the queen of all of her demons is her own mind.
Then two men from out of town show up, looking for answers about the disappearance of a loved one. Jax may be the only one who can help find the answers they need. They just need to work fast and safely, because it’s more than just Jax’s life on the line.

I was provided a copy of this title by the author. All thoughts, opinions, views, and ideas expressed herein are mine and mine alone. Thank you.
The Eleventh Hour is a sharp turn from Tea Ravine’ Omega Accords. It’s gritty, raw and unflinchingly vulnerable in a way we’ve never seen before. Jax is a dichotomy of strength and fragility that you can’t fail to root for as she navigates a nightmarish existence far beyond her control. She unwittingly becomes an unreliable narrator as she struggles to cope with what is real or the illusion of a fractured mind.
I appreciated that the romance took a backseat to this continually unraveling mystery. I loved her relationship with Gideon and was comforted by the ease in which Dane and Rafael slotted into her life. (my only niggle was that the love connection felt rushed.) I’m probably of the minority who would have been happy to have their romantic relationship drawn out into the culmination of this duet, but I am a glutton for punishment.
Overall, this was a true departure for Tea current breadth of work but I was absolutely hooked. It’s a dark delicious tale that leaves you thirsting for more. If you are a fan of her writing, like I am, this should be an easy add to your tbr. I can’t recommend it enough if you live for dark and gritty romantic suspense with a hint of noir. Mark your calendars. September 1, 2024.
I had the absolute privilege of reading an e-arc of The Eleventh Hour in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are mine and mine alone.
unfortunately, this book was not for me. I think I have trouble with books being contemporary but having paranormal elements. while reading it felt like the book should’ve have more of a paranormal environment vs contemporary.
I also found myself struggling with the plot in general. when I was reading it felt like there was a bunch of information I should’ve just known before hand. like I felt like an outsider looking in on a close group of friends recalling their history together. because of that, I just couldn’t get into the story or the characters.
the characters kind of annoyed me lmao. but it was mostly because I was being told a lot of things but not really shown so I couldn’t find it within myself to like the characters or form an attachment.
lastly, I did receive this book as an arc but these are my own opinions. I think I’ll stick with the authors OV books and I won’t be checking out the next book in this duet.
I started reading The Eleventh Hour and to be totally honest, I was a little lost at first. I felt like I was missing something. I was confused by some of the connections and who some people were. But I kept reading and I can’t be any happier that I did. As I continued to read, all of my questions started to be answered and I found myself unable to stop reading. I kept wanting to know what would be revealed next and I needed to know the answers to all of the questions that I had. I hadn’t read any of Ravine’s previous books, so I can’t compare this one to those. But this one is definitely one to read.
Jax is such a complex character. The Jax she is now is absolutely shaped by everything from her past. It isn’t just the event that turned her life upside down five years before. It isn’t just her family. Every thing she has ever experienced, every person she has ever met, has made her who she is. Her mental health struggles are so complex and Sparrow is…well, he has done his own damage. I love Jax’s interactions with Gideon and I loved the way she connected with Rafael and Dane.
Speaking of Rafael and Dane, I thought they were perfect together and how the interacted with Jax. I love a grump like Dane, although I so wanted to punch him sometimes. Rafael was so cute in how he acted with Jax. All of the side characters added so much to the story.
I felt the darkness of Hurricane as I read the story. I felt like I was constantly under overcast skies. I appreciated the paranormal aspect of the story and I am so glad that this is a duet because I can’t wait to read the next book.
WOW… this is not at all what I expected but none the less so good!
The first several chapters had me confused. It is written in a way that you should already know some of the information but trust me the crumbs drop through the book and you get a clearer picture of what you should know about Jax’s situation and her previous fiancé. There are so many secrets and lies and will have you guessing to figure out the truth. The relationship she has with G is the only safe place she has until she meets Rafe and Dane. I am definitely rooting for G!! The ending of the book will have you so mad and needing the next book now!! Jax was a strong FMC for all the sh1t that she has weighting her down and everything she has stacked against her. The complexity of the story and how the author brings all the many characters included to life and fits it all together makes this a well written book. I really enjoyed that we get not only Jax’s perspective but also the guys as well with the bonus of the villain in the end.
I am not sure that this book fits into any one box it was a little bit of so many things, why choose but not fully a romance book since I don’t feel like that was the focus, contemporary but with a strong paranormal elements with the the mystery and suspense of a the serial k.i.ll.er.
This was a new Author's work that I found and was left totally satisfied by her paranormal romance storytelling that I simply read this in a day's sitting. From the very beginning my curiosity was captured by this interesting plot and I was excited to see how things were going to evolve with the characters and the plot's scenarios. Characters were created in such a way that I was drawn to them both positively and negatively but still never sure if they were good or bad, always wondering the malice or intent they played on the FMC of Jax. Unfortunately finishing my read around midnight I was left scrambling to find if the second instalment is available as I don't want to wait another second to learn more. I've not read a lot of paranormal romance stories so was intrigued by the whole spiritual connection and idea of romance. The huge positive is that it is a why choose reverse harem story that simply caught my interest too. If you enjoy action, betrayal, drama, emotional challenges, a strong female character, mystery, murder, psychological games and the whole idea of survival then this just might be something to grab for yourself. Definitely will be checking out this Author's other works to see if she can deliver more interesting reads.
I have and LET ME TELL YOU: ITS SOOOOO GOOD! This was something different than what Tea has written before BUT I really LOVED it. This book has paranormal, poly, dark romance with some edge to it. This book had me not wanting to put it down. I enjoyed the flow and plot so much, I am looking forward to the next book.
I have so much love for the character Jax. She has bee through so much with having a stalker and is stuck in a hard place with her manipulative psychiatrist. I really loved the mystery in this book it really leaves you with so many questions.
Overall, I throughly enjoyed this dark paranormal tale of Jax. It is different from what I have read when it comes to dark books. I am happy with the development of the relationships and I can't wait to see where they go in the next one.

In this why choose paranormal romance, Jax Shade is seeking answers after the disappearance of her former fiancé and convicted serial killer, Louis. She teams up with Rafael and Dane, who are seeking vengeance for one of Louis' suspected victims, on a suspenseful and wild ride through Hurricane.
I gave this read 4/5 stars because it started a little slow and took me several chapters to follow along, however by the last half of the book, I wasn't putting it down. I loved the dystopian vibes of Hurricane and appreciate Jax as a headstrong FMC who is willing to take on anyone for answers. Dane and Rafael were very likeable as the MMCs, though they have very different personalities. The twist at the end will leave your jaw on the floor.
The Eleventh Hour had an interesting concept and plotline. However, I really struggled with it. It took me a while to get into the book as it felt quite disconnected. Nothing made sense to me. I did wonder if the reader was supposed to feel like that as Jax is such an unreliable narrator.
I couldn't get into the characters and their relationship. Something just didn't feel right with me.
The paranormal aspect was interesting to me. I loved wondering what was real and what wasn't once I got into the book.
I did guess what the twist was quite early on in the book, unfortunately. This book was okay overall. I read it in one sitting, but I think if I put it down, I wouldn't have picked it back up
I rated 4 stars instead of 5 because I felt like a few conversations were a little confusing and there were random time jumps. Like they’d be discussing something in the car then suddenly they’re walking up stairs indoors.
I liked how this is dark but not too dark. It would be a good dark romance for someone who doesn’t know if they like dark romance or not.
This would be a 5 star read with some editing for story flow. There were a few typos here and there but a CONSTANT misuse of apostrophes. If you’re someone who notices grammar errors like this you will definitely notice.
I am a massive fan of Tea’s writing and I’ll admit I really struggled to get into this book at first, I kept getting confused with what was happening in the storyline.
Jax’s story is completely different than any of Tea’s other books and is heavier on suspense than romance.
That being said, once I’d settled into the book, I actually really enjoyed the story. The cliffhanger was harsh and I’m looking forward to what happens in the next book.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Oh I loved this book from cover to cover. It keeps you on your toes and question everything you read. I love the mystery and the not knowing what's next. Now I had only read the omegaverse books by this author so I am happy to say the mystery and the dark romance she can do equally well. I am hooked on the author now! This is part 1 of a duet and I can't wait for the second book. This brings so much as in why choose, suspense, stalker, killer and what not. I highly recommend this for the dark romance lover out there.
Something a little different than the author's books I've read. Dark romance, suspense thriller, with a cliffhanger. I admit I was a bit confused in the beginning. It took a few chapters for me to grasp what was really going on. Lots of secrets to be discovered. Everyone in this book is hiding something. I won't add more because I don't want to give anything away. The story is interesting and has unique elements. Most of the characters have a depth that is revealed one chapter at a time. I'm so glad the next book releases soon. This is living rent-free in my head, and I need answers.
Wow is my first thought when I finished this book. It was different from anything I’ve read before and I seriously enjoyed this so much and I couldn’t put it down I was always left guessing what happened and what was real and this didn’t disappoint at all and the fact that I was always on my toes wondering what is gonna happen next made this a great read for me and I can’t wait for the next one to come out this is A top book for me for this year
I saw this book mentioned in a FB group I follow and it had great reviews so I decided to give it a try. The plot is definitely intriguing, primarily as it pertains to the supernatural elements and trying to figure out what is happening to Jax and who she can trust. It took a little bit to really get into the story but the pace and intrigue compounds as you keep moving forward. Looking forward to book two!
Wow! This was intense and convoluted in the best way possible. Part mystery, part supernatural, totally brilliant. Loved Jax and G from the beginning, I did wonder and you will too, Rafe and Dane are fantastic characters and the chemistry between them and Jax sizzles in a whole new way. I NEED the next book like I need air. 6 star read.
This story is so consuming. I was hooked from the begining. Jax is so real. I felt like I was wondering what the heck happened to her and there were just bread crumbs throughout the story. It kept me reading. I love this story and Tea Ravine is going on my watch list from now on!!
Really great mystery/romance... There's lots of moments you know you are missing pieces right along with Jax as she struggles to survive her past and her stalker. Why choose trope with a really bad guy and a cliffhanger into the next book. This book has shades of Pen Pal by Geissinger and I loved it!
4⭐️ I don’t know where to begin trying to understand what happened in this book. Every character is hiding something, the setting feels murky and ominous, and the unfolding plot has me ready to dive straight into book two.
Unfortunately, there are many typos, so I would steer clear if that bothers you.
Whoa…I’m not even sure how to describe this book. The author definitely weaves quite the story and hooks you right from the start. Told from all POV, though mostly Jax, the FMC. It’s a romance, but also a dark and twisted tale of violence. I did not see the ending and what it revealed. Can’t wait to read the second book!
This book deserves so much more than a 5 star raiting!! It is gritty, thrilling, dark & oh so beautiful. It is truly unlike anything that I have ever read. If you enjoy dark paranormal reads with a big dose of thrilling mystery you need to read this one!
This was incredible. I don't even know how to define it, it's like nothing I've ever read before. So much to unpack so many mysteries and second guesses with an unreliable narrator. It's just something else and i loved it!!!
I struggled at the start of this book to understand what was going on. Glad that I persevered as the story sucked me in. Found the FMC a bit annoying, liked the other characters. Left on a total cliffhanger so definitely going to read the next book.
What sort of disjointed insanity did I just read? While I can see people getting into the thriller aspect of this book, the writing style is very distracting,so just a heads up.
I loved this book! So much mystery, so much suspense, and the tension in the romance and friendships, ugh! Did not want to put this down and cannot wait to finish the duet. I need answers!
I read this in a day. Couldn’t put it down. So so good!! I love all of Tea Ravine’s writing. This story was unique and hooked me from the first chapter.
