Catherine was born and bred in Malaysia then went to England to train as a nurse. This was followed by a degree in Physiology and a PhD after which she spent her time on clinical research in London and then Stevenage where she researched the effects of haemodialysis on the circulatory system. Alongside her passion for her work was her desire to write fiction. Retirement freed her to do just that, beginning with Songs in the night, the first of three. She is crazy about golf and now chess as well as baking and decorating cakes for special occasions.
