Thank you for another sweet love story in blessings bay. I always love meeting new characters and catching up with old friends. This book had twists and turns I was not expecting but I’m enjoying it all!
I have Ioved all of the heartwarming stories on this series. It’s a real treat when we get two love stories in the same book! I’ve come to love all these wonderful characters as they follow their hearts to find their HEA in Blessings Bay!
Another wonderful book by Rachael!! Every book she writes has me wanting to live in the cozy little town that she created. I can’t wait for the next one! 🥰💞💐
I'm always thankful for Rachael Bloome presenting her reader's with new stories, and I couldn't wait to dive into another Blessings Bay title. The Unbound Bookshop sounded especially intriguing, as I always love getting to read titles that focus around bookish content and settings. The concept of an "unbound" bookshop was so original and captivating that I couldn't wait to see where the author would go with the idea. This beautiful title was everything I was hoping for and more, and another wonderful installment in a favorite series.
Every one of Rachael's titles read like a feel good made to TV movie come to life, and I mean that in the best way possible because I'm a huge fan of such titles. She always writes from the heart, and it sets her stories apart as something special. Flynn and Sage seem like an unlikely pairing at the start of the story, but the reader can definitely tell that there's something more simmering under the surface. I enjoyed how so much of their journey to happily ever after consisted of them having to face their pasts, and deal with the insecurities and hurts that have come about because of it.
While Sage and Flynn's story was a worthy contender in its own right, the story was made even more heartwarming and heart wrenching by the twist that's thrown into Abby and Logan's own continuing romance, and while I don't want to give spoilers, I will simply say to be prepared with tissues at the ready before you go ahead and pick this one up.
All in all, I couldn't have enjoyed this one more, and it lived up to every one of my expectations. Another one of my favorite reads of the year, and one I will be wholeheartedly recommending.
Final Rating: 5/5.
Definitely go ahead and pick this one up when it releases, and if you have yet to read a title by Rachael Bloome, then I highly recommend that you do so as you are definitely missing out!
Thanks so much to Rachael Bloome for allowing me to read and review this one!
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary advance reader copy of this novel from the author (Rachael Bloome) as part of her ARC Team. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and this is my honest review.
Once again, Ms. Bloome has created a fantastic 'can't put down' book with the third installment of the Blessings Bay Series. I always look forward to spending time at the Blessings Bay Inn with Abby and Logan. In this episode, Abby and Logan are content as ever, but as they prepare for their happily ever after, an unexpected guest at the inn has the potential to seriously interfere with their plans. This is a twist the reader won't see coming.
As Abby and Logan are dealing with their unexpected Guest, Sage & Fynn are dealing with their own drama. Once in a relationship which ended badly years ago, they are thrown together and forced to stay on a sailboat for three days. Flynn's twin brother died years ago & Flynn blames himself, so he has found it his mission to complete his brother's bucket list. Sage is now unable to tolerate being in the same room as Flynn, much less spending three days in a space as small as a sailboat.
Every time I read one of Ms Bloome's books, I say this may be my favorite. Actually, I don't know which one is my favorite because they are all so good. I guess which one I am currently reading is my favorite. The author just has a way of bringing the reader into her story so they can feel every emotion that the character is going through. You don't just read one of her books, you feel it.
Any novel written by Rachael Bloome will appeal to readers who enjoy clean romances with intriguing characters, surprising turns, and gripping resolutions. I've read every book she's written, and I plan to keep reading anything she writes. Although you can read this series out of order, I strongly advise starting from the beginning to fully get to know the characters. Every character in these stories is so endearing that it's impossible not to fall in love.
For fans of Rachael Bloome, this book is bound to be a new favorite. Though it's a stand-alone story, those familiar with the previous book will appreciate the added depth it brings to the characters.
This novel was an absolute delight! The plot was engaging and easy to follow, and I found myself completely absorbed in the dual storylines. Sage and Flynn were a perfect match, and it was especially satisfying to witness Abby finally receive her much-anticipated proposal.
Several powerful scenes stood out, but the one that resonated with me the most was the bee sting scene, particularly the line: *“It’s just such a shame. I wish we could communicate better, to let them know we’re not a threat. To think, a simple misunderstanding—a rash reaction out of fear—cost this little bee everything.”* This profound moment proves pivotal in the relationship between Sage and Flynn.
Overall, I believe this book will become a beloved favorite for all readers.

The Unbound Bookshop is a feel-good inspirational romance with many twists and turns as characters navigate some serious hurdles. While introducing us to new characters, Ms. Bloome continues to explore Abigail Preston's journey to becoming an innkeeper and Abigail is met with significant emotional challenges along the way. This novel feels more emotionally intense than earlier books in the series, and I had a hard time putting it down, even for a short break.
As always, the characters are richly drawn, each with their own quirks and passions, making them feel like old friends by the end of the book. Sage's determination to develop the bookstore and fulfill her childhood dream is both heartwarming and inspiring, resonating with anyone who has ever found solace or joy between the pages of a beloved book.
I highly recommend sailing into this enchanting tale—it's a literary escape you won't want to miss.
The Unbound Bookshop is the third ‘Blessings Bay’ book. It can be read as a stand-alone and you do not have to had read previous book to enjoy this book but it does continue Abby and Logan’s story throughout this one. At the same time this is a second chance romance for Sage and Flynn when they are forced to spend time together. However they cannot both get what they want at the end of it.
The characters in this book are delightful and relatable, I guarantee that you will become invested in their stories. Although this book starts a little slowly about half way through it picks up pace and from then on I was totally engrossed. If you love small town sweet romance then you will absolutely enjoy this book.
What a treat to return to Blessings Bay in Rachael Bloome’s The Unbound Bookshop. This third book in the series takes us inside the minds, hearts and dilemmas of innkeeper Abby, her boyfriend Logan, best friend Sage and Sage’s ex-boyfriend Flynn.
Bloome paints real people wrestling with who they are and how to respond to pain and loss. We join their journeys to understanding and wholeness.
Along the way, there are plot twists that keep you reading and rooting for obstacles to be overcome. Bloome’s books keep getting better. I concur with Sage’s comment that “a good story lives forever!”
I received an advance copy of this book, and this review is my honest opinion.
This is the third in the Blessings Bay Series. It’s a heartwarming continuation about Abigail Preston and her friend Sage Harper. Everything is going along smoothly for Abigail until a stranger shows up at the Inn with a secret about Donnie This could threaten everything she’s built up. On the other hand, Sage wants so bad to open a bookstore, but it can’t be in the town proper. So she gets creative and tries to buy a sailboat during an auction. But her ex boyfriend is bidding on it too. Who will win out? This was such a charming and heartwarming story that I had a hard time putting it down. I am looking forward to the next book in the series and I’m sure you will too.
Rachael has released another touching and incredibly cozy book in her newest heartwarming series. I always come away from her books with a smile and a craving for a delicious treat or drink that she wrote about, but this time I came away also wanting to own a bookstore on a boat. Hey, it could happen! :)
I received a complimentary copy of this book as part of an ARC team. The review is my own and I was not required to post a positive review. Thanks so much to Rachael for trusting me with her ARCs.
The Unbound Bookshop is a clean, intriguing, second chance romance. This dynamic novel is one of my new favorite books. Abby’s strength and compassion are severly tested as a secret from her past comes to light. Sage’s world is upended when Flynn returned to town after a decade of silence. Ms. Boome’s relatable characters work through grief, pain and loss in this un-put-downable romance. Each return to Blessings Bay is better than the last one!
Rachael just continues to tell stories & create places I fully can dive into her books! She is one of my new & shining favorite series authors as well as stand alone novelists. The fact that I have gotten to get a sense of the author behind these stories as well as the fact that she writes about things she treasures makes the whole process even more immersive for me! I can not wait for the next Blessings book to drop, I am excited to check in on my Poppy Creek friends for Christmas as well. Love the recipes, coffee tips and endearing characters. Thank you
Where love flows freely, if you allow it. Logan & Abigail feel it yet there is some stumbling blocks in their romance. Sage & Flynn have their share of emotions to wade through as well. Will the magic of Blessings Bay get these two couples the relationships they are seeking? I love Mrs. Bloome intricate way with words that make you feel each one as if you were right there in person.
I am loving these stories. This is a wonderful place to live where the people care for and look out forone another. There's a main story line with lots of twists and surprises along the way. I'm loving getting to know Abby and Logan better as their story grows. And in this book we learn more about Sage and are introduced to Flynn. I can't wait for the next book in this series to be available.
All stories involving bookstores are fun to read and this one throws in a couple on interesting twists. It is a nice story where you really have to walk a bit with the characters as their stories unfold. When they do, you really appreciate who they are and the story being told. Definitely an enjoyable time and it made plenty of sense on its own, even though I see that it is in the middle of a series. I will be looking up more of the Blessings Bay Series.
I truly enjoyed reading this book. Rachael has such a beautiful way with words of bringing her characters and the scenes to life. I enjoy a book with a little drama, but where the characters in the end treat one another with respect and want to do the right thing. If you are a fan of Hallmark movies - you will find it hard to put the book down.
Abby and Sage both brave challenges to their plans. Both have to dig deep to forgive, but in Blessings Bay, there is always help, love, and support. Two sweet stories that eventually lead to our heroines finding greater strength and happiness than either thought possible. Logan and Flynn each play a part in the happily ever afters.
This story is so beautiful . Some parts are sad, but others are wonderful. You feel as though you are actually in the story because of how well Rachel Bloome writes these stories . It can be challenging to fight the past, yet everything is possible with God. I think it's fantastic that these characters have supportive friends who support them during their tough moments. Well done, Rachel Bloome.
This book has it all! Mystery? Check! Love stories? Check! Relatable family & friends stories? Check! A love of books and reading? Check! Multiple dogs? Check! Mrs. Bloome’s gifted descriptions that make you swear you can smell the ocean air and taste the delicious treats you’re reading about make you feel like you’re part of the story. Every book Rachel Bloome writes becomes a new favorite, until her next one comes along and takes the crown. The Unbound Bookshop is no different! This book will undoubtedly hold a place of honor on your list of favorites, too!
From the first page to the last, I was sucked into this story. I really enjoy the characters and feel like I am part of the community. I love learning about everyone’s back stories and how they connect.
I loved this book, the continuation of Abby and Logan's story and learning about Sage and Flynn. Even with unexpected events, the characters held on to their faith and their kindness and helpfulness. Blessings Bay is another small town in which the reader longs to live!
Oh, how I tried not to cry as I read Abby's and Sage's heartbreaking stories and what they went through, but I couldn't! I enjoyed this story so much, but I can't wait to read CeCe's Sage's BFF!!
This one included a lot of my favorite things - a love for books, second chance romance and forced proximity. Also, some heartache that had me in tears.
The story grabs your emotions and takes you on a journey. Each character has their own story to tell. They intertwine and run parallel. Twists of fate, love, and forgiveness play important roles in the Unbound Bookshop. What a great premise for a bookstore! I am looking forward to reading the next story of Blessings Bay!
