The Picture book, My Child my Princess is a story about a young princess, and her father the King. This story was written by Beth Moore, she is also a teacher as well as an author. This book was published in 2007 by the B&H Publishing Group, and is considered to be a great story for girls of all ages.
One day, young, rebebellious princess obtains a notion that she shouldn't have to clean her room. Her father, the king is too busy to pay attention to what she is doing. She searches through her dresser drawer, throwing whatever she doesn't want onto the floor, and picks out some peasant looking clothing. She then swiftly and quietly, sneaks out of the medieval palace, to the nearby town.
Once at the town, the princess spots some of thge children playing stickball. She decides to join them. Everything the peasent children did, she did as well. She believed she was just like them. The children heard a commotion close by. A crowd had gathered around a horse drawn carraige. They shoved and squeazed their way to the front. Before they could get to the front though, some of the wealthy people were heard shouting, " Hide those filthy children!" The princess wanted to shout, " I'm not a filthy child, I'm a princess," but she stopped herself. I'm just like them she remembered. The children couldn't get to the front of the huge crowd so, they decided to climb a tree to be able to get a glimpse of the king. The princess, who wasn;t very good at climbing trees, quickly loses her balance and falls out of the tree. The princess is determinedto climb up the tree again. Once, up in the tree, she sees who everyone is looking at. Dressed in beautiful and royal clothing, a tall figure steps out of the carriage. It is her father the king.
This is a great book! This is about a daughter of a king, a princess. She is so tired of living with all the rules and being controlled so she decides to run away from the palace and she finds a group of dirty homeless kids and she makes herself like them. She would talk like them and she would act like them and then they heard everyone in the town announcing that the king was coming and they were making way for him. So all the kids she was with climbed up in the tree and so she did as well and they started spitting on the king and she tried to stop them but they wouldn't and then she fell out of the tree and she knew that when her dad got out that he saw her and she was so embarrassed but he didn't say anything to her. Finally she decided to go back to the palace and she was not ready to see her father for she knew that he would be upset and ashamed of her. But that night when her father, the king came in to tell her goodnight, he told her that he forgave her and that he still loved her so much and there was nothing she could do that would make him love her any less and he called her his daughter and his princess. This is a great book for kids because it shows you just how much God loves us no matter where we have been or what we have done.
Sweet story. True story-only the names have changed. Many people can relate to this story. I for one can. The curiosity of what else is out there. Thinking there is something better out there only to find out that I should have stayed home-safe in my Father's arms. Very good lesson in this little book.
A wonderful retelling of the Parable of the Prodigal Son, this story is about a Princess who wants to "experience life" like all the other children who are not sons and daughters of the King. She finally returns home, ashamed and hurt, and is thankful and repentant when the King remains loving and forgiving.

Not a bible study, but a small book that reminds us our father is King and will always accept us no matter how far we run away or how much we screw up. My daughter even likes this book.
Great allegory for all! You are PRECIOUS and a MASTERPIECE of the LORD most high. Great book to read to your kids/grandkids and maybe the message will sink in to you too! God LOVES YOU!
