Is there a button to double up on the stars?
In order to review this book, I have to tell a little story. Way back when, when Kat was Little Kat, and quite young, she would read Harlequin Romances. At the end, just about when the hero said I love you, Little Kat would get the shivers and tears would form in her eyes. Her mother thought it was just because she was a teenager. Nope. Mom had it wrong.
I got to the end of this book, having been pulled into this story 100%, was totally satisfied with how Ethan and Miranda had saved their love, and what happens? I start on the Epilogue, and the shivers started (just a rush) and the tears sprang to my eyes. That told me that Kait Nolan hit a Grand Slam with this book. This rarely happens that I will be so into a book that the end can get to me.
The plot to this book was done with a fine hand. The book drew other characters, some we'd met in other Wishful books, and some we hadn't. But those characters just weren't added, they were blended in so well that it was like having the gang over for pizza and beer. You just expected them to be there and were happy that they had shown up.
If I could give this more stars than five, I would. But instead, I'll say that this particular series of books, about the heroes of Wishful is well worth whatever the author charges. In fact, I don't think she's charging enough for this wonderful, romantic, suspenseful series.
