Stacey is the New York Times & USA Today Bestselling Author of Second Chances, Shadows of the Past (co-authored with H.M. Ward), the Nashville Nights series, and the Nashville U series.
She’s also the single mom of three amazingly crazy boys and since she’s a transplanted Yankee, considers herself a big city girl living in a small town. Because she can’t live in the cities she loves – Nashville, New York, Chicago – she writes about people who do instead. When she isn’t writing, you can usually find her curled up with a sexy book, or more accurately, scrolling through Tumblr. She also isn’t afraid to admit her favorite addictions: Tumblr GIF’s, social media, Spotify, Dr. Pepper, and of course, dirty books. Hunky heroes with control issues and strong heroines who stand up to them are her weakness. She loves to talk books – not just her own – with anyone, so send her a message!
This is part of a series written by different authors. So you can read it by itself or just skip it. This is not a romance. 80% of the book is to lead up to the ending. The romance (it’s not) starts at 80% and magically happens with a “HEA” by 94%. I skimmed at least half the book because it didn’t keep my attention and I just wanted to return it to KU to free up space. As others have mentioned, this book really needs edited. Honestly, I’m just not sure of the point.
This one was more emotional than the rest in this series. This one will definitely pull at your heart strings. Braxton goes to the scene of an accident. Upon arriving at the scene and realizing who exactly is in the car his world will forever change. The past comes back into Braxton's life but hits him square in the face when he realizes why his ex is back in town. Braxton has to deal with the harsh truth of his new life, but will he be able too? Hannah and Braxton have been friends it seems like forever. But there were never any feelings between them. Braxton reaches out to her to help him with his changing exploding life. Feelings come out to play and neither one is sure what to do. Will these two be able to come together and realize what they have? Will Braxton overcome what fate has brought him? I absolutely loved this storyline. It was emotionally charged, unpredictable and lovable all at the same time. It was beautifully written and gripping from beginning to end. I absolutely loved Braxton and how he handled everything thrown at him. A great addition to the Station 47 series.
This was another new to me author in this series. This book was different from the others in the series and in some ways I felt like it was rushed. The other members of Station 47 don't play the strong assist roles in this book as it did in the others which was odd to me. The relationship just seemed to start and then the book was over. I would have liked to know an bit more about there relationship and the struggles I am sure they had after the loses that took place in the story. It was still an enjoyable read, just seemed shorter and flowed differently than the previous books.
This is my least favorite book of the series so far. Needs tons of editing and it was extremely short. Like the story just abruptly stops and there is NOTHING resolved. Literally, they’re eating lunch at a diner, the chapter ends, then the book just ends and nothing has been resolved and there’s still so much left to tell. It’s like the author got to a stopping point, said meh, and hit publish.
Wow this story was a tough one on the heart. Braxton and Hannah have known each other for years but were only friends until they realize feelings had changed. Braxton is trying to navigate becoming a dad to a 4 year old and Hannah is there to help. So many emotions are packed into this story.
Ok so for the most part this series has been great . This one was a complete miss… The story was all over the place , parts weren’t complete , things jumped from one night together and admitting feelings, to living together … the book needs editing in a major way. Idk what happened there but it’s a total mess …
I've read numerous books that needed some serious editing help, but the storyline was strong and I could still engage with the book. This book felt like it was skimming the surface of something that could be deeper but left me feeling like I was missing something.
I found this book to be well-written, emotionally charged, and hard to put down. This had very intense and very personal moments which added to its impact on the reader. I have enjoyed all in this series so far, and have downloaded the next one. Definitely recommend this one!
Braxton has been through turmoil in his life. Hannah has been a good friend to him. The two never had feelings but things start to change as Braxton faces more turmoil. A short story with a rushed feel, not my favorite in the series.
Disappointed the Amazon version is not complete even after multiple attempts to get a correct version. I hope it gets fixed as I would love to read the rest of the book.
