Hanna Hamilton has been fascinated with the Regency era ever since she was a young teen, first discovering historical romance novels by famous authors such as Jane Austen and Lisa Kleypas. She believes that love was just so much more magical back then, more like a fairy tale. She always daydreamed about finding love herself that way, but since that is impossible in the twenty-first century, she decided to write about it instead!

Born in Texas, Hanna Hamilton obtained a degree in Creative Writing and has worked as a literature teacher before becoming a novelist. When she isn’t writing, Hanna likes to explore the countryside with her husband and two children, gaining inspiration from the natural world around her.

So, come on a journey into love, confusion, and redemption all within the Regency era. Hanna hopes that you will enjoy immersing yourself into her novels and that you too will find a love for old-fashioned romance, just as she has.

To say Duke Nicholas and Lady Bridget started on the wrong foot, is a major understatement. They found a new personal challenge in infuriating one another at any given and not given opportunity.
And because this is a Hanna Hamilton book, we are swiftly taken on a perfect journey where two people that don't like each other too much, try to respect each other for the sake of those who they love and, in no time, they become close, they become friends and maybe more?

I never get tired to read Hanna's books as they always touch my heart in the most loving way, it warms my soul and reminds me how magical and beautiful and simple life can be when one decides to love with an innocent, open heart.

A real treat!

If you like sweet romance and fiery characters, then you will enjoy this book. Lady Margaret and Lord Michael are getting married. Even though it was an arranged marriage, the two have been enamored with one another. Lady Margaret has an older sister Bridget, who doesn't feel she wants to marry unless she can find a man who views her as his equal. Lord Michael's older bother, Nicholas, is a duke with a reputation as a rake and rogue. The families have agreed to spend two weeks together before the wedding giving Margaret and Michael more opportunities to get to know one another before the wedding. Both families have dysfunctional family issues that have created a few problems for both Nicholas and Bridget. I think will relate to these families and enjoy this story all the way to the extended epilogue!!

Hannah has Done it Again!!!

I truly loved reading this story! I have always enjoyed reading Ms. Hamilton's stories. This one is no exception to that. I loved how Bridget and Nicholas started by verbally sparing. Both are determined not to marry and Bridget was already 26 and firmly on the shelf of becoming a spinster. Their siblings were matched by their mothers but they feel in love. They each had demons to fight alone but did it stay that way? Read this beautiful story and find out.

Shows not to judge someone based on their reputation & just because they've behaved a certain way in the past doesn't mean they're a bad person, I really loved how caring Nicholas was & looked for ways to make her life better. I did find her sister a bit spoiled & seemed to care to much about her wedding day, though her story with Michael was very sweet & I really appreciated how hard Bridget looked after her sister

Dislike Changes To Love

Independent Bridget had no desire to marry and come under the control of a husband. Duke Nicholas did not want to marry and be as abusive as his late father. Their attraction to each other overcame their fears and after the Duke sobered up her alcoholic father they married.

I really enjoyed the banter as the two main characters start out very antagonistic to each other while their siblings are falling in love. The editing was good so the story flow was great. It was enjoyable to watch as the two realized they may have real feelings for the other. It was an enjoyable read.

Oh, my goodness, what a roller coaster of emotions.

Like all good romances it started with a dislike for each other. Then as one romance flourished another seemed to be at a standstill. In the end the actions of one man stopped the romance but in the end? Reading. You won't be disappointed

Wonderful Romance

Absolutely love the relationship between the Duke and the sister of the bride from the time they met. Even though it was in acknowledged, the chemistry between the two people were obvious.

A Wonderful Read

I really enjoy this author. Mainly because her books are clean with the right touch of “steamy”.
I especially enjoyed this novel because of their little spats and delighted when they fell in love.
A very well written story line

Entertaining story of 2 individuals who thoroughly enjoyed aggravating each other. I thoroughly enjoyed their banter and developing relationship. Banter became discussions, conversations resulted in feelings and they slowly begin to realize that their future was right in front of them.

The Dialogue between Duke Nicholas and Lady Bridget was fascinating and so true to life when we have preconceived ideas about people. I thoroughly enjoyed following their animosity and how it changed to love and desire as the book progressed

What a thoughtful love story! I love the characters and how you brought them life. You dealt very well with the disease of alcoholism. Keep on writing. You have the talent.
