To take her place as rightful queen, Malin Strom stands by the side of the Nightrender and his guild of thieves in the fight to take a throne she never wanted. Now, as warriors from distant kingdoms answer their call, a new battle begins.
But when dark fae side with the Black Palace, Malin and Kase are forced to take drastic measures if they are to have a hope for victory: forge an unwilling alliance with a cruel sea fae, draw out a cursed beast they thought long dead, even risk the lives of everyone they love by twisting the memories of fate itself.
For Kase and Malin, this fight could be their hard-fought salvation...or a vicious end to everything they love.
Welcome to the final stand in the Eastern Kingdom. Where the stakes are higher, the battles are darker, and the romance is spicier. A wicked spin on Cinderalla comes to a head in the final battle of thieves and kings.
I consider myself blessed I'm able to do this for a living. I live for fantasy books as a reader and author. I adore books like An Ember in the Ashes, The Night Angel Trilogy, Harry Potter, The Great Library series...I could go on.
Before I write I have four young humans I keep alive and love them to the stars and back again. I live in Utah with my sexy husband, the kiddos, two paranoid dogs, and a sinister cat. Between finishing a second degree, running a business, and eating too much chocolate, I love writing early in the morning when no one is awake. If you can't tell, I basically function on caffeine.
This was another satisfying end to a trilogy in this series. The action was revved up as well as the scheming, and it nicely set up the next duology. I'm wondering if I'll enjoy Ari more than Kase 🤔
My main complaint came with the increase in action. Though I am a huge fan of the amount of action this book had, it came with a side of repetitiveness. Every time some action was served up, Kase and Malin most likely had to split up, and they had to do this whole song and dance every time they split and every time they came back together. I usually love those types of emotional scenes, but they're usually like...one time. Not every time some shit goes down. So I was a little annoyed with that.
But other than that, this series I think was a little more enjoyable than the first one. Can't wait to see what the next books have in store for this universe ❤️
I’ve been holding myself back from rating any of these books 5 stars because we’ve all read such similar stories before. But god help me I cannot contain my stars for this book.
This book was such a wild ride and such a good conclusion for the second trilogy. I wasn’t expecting to have all the characters from all 6 books together for the entire book and omg it really scratched an itch in my brain. Loved this book. So so so excited for Ari’s story next.
This took me too long to read due to the fact that it felt repetitive, like there was so much going on but at the same time nothing was happening because it was just repeating itself 😮💨
I really enjoy this series though, this one was just a bit rough for me
This series has quickly become one of my favorites and has put LJ on my auto buy list!
I hear someone compare this specific book to Avengers: Endgame, in the way that everybody is coming together against a common enemy to take them down and save their kingdoms and I 100% get the comparison.
We have Malin and Kase, still on their mission to overthrow the current king and take back their Kingdom. But they obvi need help, so Gunnar writes his uncle and who shall come, but almost the entire North. Valen and Elise were so freaking cute in this one too! And we also have the Ever King, Thorvald since his son had been taken by the Kingdom.
And then, Jonas, from The Mist Thief also gets mentioned which was mind blowing.
There is a lot of yapping, but I loved it because it isn’t pointless, they are all just getting to know each other and making their plans to take the crown.
Halfway through is when it really ramps up and we have battle after battle and Calista makes another appearance! I love her so much.
This book “ended” Kase and Malins story so beautifully. To the point where MOST loose ends are wrapped up. There is still a lot of mystery in the south, but Ari is on his way there now and that’s books 7 & 8. Then we get some new mystery involving Calista in the East, that’s book 9. Then wtf is going to happen to Ever Kingdom after 10 turns passes? The Ever Seas duology. What exactly happened with Jonas? The Mist Thief. So there are some plot holes but for a reason. And I cannot wait to get to the next book!
If you love Vikings, found family, ancient prophecies, battles for good and crowns, these stories are for you!
Okay I loved the first three and the fourth was good but OH MY GOD MALIN IS SO FUCKING ANNOYING!!! This was the most repetitive book I’ve ever read. The same phrases over and over and over. We GET IT, you will rip the world apart for your husband because he’s a villain who you love anyway wah wah wah SHUT UP. Seriously almost gave up so many times. And I hated so much that it took three books and 70% of the third book for her to even get better magic and even then it was WEAK. Gag me this was just so sappy and fake I hated it. The only reason it gets two stars instead of one is because the supporting characters carried any of the tiny amount of plot that was squeezed between whining and pining and hooking up.
I’ll shout it from the rooftops, I love LJ ANDREWS. I love her writing, her characters, her stories, EVERYTHING. Once again she has spoiled my little heart with a story of such deep love, devotion, friendship and determination. I think this may have been my favorite book in the series so far!!! Daddy Valen and Elise showing up made my heart shatter. The conclusion to Kase and Malins story is perfection, I’m going to miss them but I already know we will see them again.
This also made me excited to reread The Ever King, it gives such good backstory on to so many characters and the events that truly happened.
Anywho, if you love found family, ancient prophecy’s, delicious spice, epic battles, vast and unique magic, and twisted fate, then this is the series for you
ok omg this ending AAAA What the hell a sea fae hello??? the ever king foreshadowing?? HELL YEAH!! that was one of the best parts of the book but overall what an ending for malin and kase's story it was really good, the north and the east all working together and getting so so damn close and all being a big family it was truly so cute and i loved this one a lot more than the other two BUT still amazing and action packed and again the love between malin and kase is beautiful and wholesome and so hot and so strong and fearless, obviously elise and valen had that too so both beautiful powerful couple! yeah still elise and valen are my fave couple but ari is my fave man i guess haha idk what to say more, I just feel im loving this series so much and THE INSTRUCTION TO SEA FAE omg i had theories then that ending between valen and the "old" sea fae king happened and yeah my theory was correct tho i still need to know some stuff to by 100% certain but YEAH OMG so excited for ever king!! i have three books left and the way ari and saba hate each other im so so excited and intrigued about their story i mean ari's pov at the end literally sold me sooooo
A wonderful conclusion to Kase and Malin’s story and the fate of the Eastern Kingdom. This book was so action-packed—there was never a boring moment. I loved how so many characters from the first three books played such important roles in this book. So many things were planted for the ever seas series (like the appearance of baby Erik Bloodsinger) and I just love when multiple series intertwine like that. Malin and Kase are stronger together and I love that. The found family in this is so good too. Not only the Kryv and Falkyns, but also the other kingdoms. Even though this was a trilogy within the series, I love how the overarching plot connects and gets more intricate with each book. I’m so excited to read about Ari and Saga next!!
Just when I thought Malin couldn’t get anymore annoying she definitely took the whole cake in this segment of the series. There were many discrepancies throughout the book. I wish the author took the time to remember what she wrote before so things could add up right and make sense at the end. I also felt that Kase’s character was a completely different person in this book. I understand he softened after finding Malin but I missed his dangerous personality that made him build his reputation. Writing the two POVs felt like it was the same person. There were times when I forgot which character I was reading from. Lastly one of the parts of the book I didn’t like was when Malin was missing, Kase and Valen were so bloodthirsty killing the Southern Fae and allies trying to find their wives. But at the end when they won the throne Malin was sickened at the thought to cut Niall’s throat as punishment for all the cruelty he caused instead just took all his memories so he can exist in peace not knowing who he was. Yeah okay *big eye roll.

Fun end to Malin & Jade’s story bringing in the characters from the Northern Kingdom. Classic exciting final battle/face off with the baddies with the reunion of all the characters. Some of the new creatures/magic seemed a little sudden/unnecessary for the “last” book in this section of the series. Overall, very much enjoyed this series.
Dance of Kings and Thieves is the conclusion to Kase and Malin’s story and it’s incredible!! The fight for the Eastern throne is here. Plus old and new allies have come to help Malin and Kase.
Everything about this book was epic, I loved it! We saw Elise, Valen, and our other favourite Night Folk. There was some heartfelt reunions that made me so happy. Of course the romance between Kase and Malin was amazing as always, I absolutely love them together!
The battles and schemes were awesome and I adored how they never gave up. We also met the sea fae and little Erik, which I loved. Now I understand Ever Seas a lot more and I also loved seeing more moments that lead into that series.
There was a war happening so there were some devastating moments but overall I loved this book so much!! Next up is Ari’s story and I’m so excited!
🌹 fated queen ⚔️ more deadly heists & twists of fate 🐦⬛ dreams become nightmares ⚔️ vikings meets sea fae 🌹 spiiice
Ah there we go, yet another book of this series finished. This one was once again stellar. I did not see the twists coming or the way these characters once again grabbed by heart by it's strings. Every single emotion was wrunged out of me, this book made me feel incredible things and for that alone it deserves five stars.
I really thought the story of the Northern Kingdom was finished but these kingdoms are intertwined in more ways than one so of course that did not happen. It was wonderful, to once again see Valen Ferus, Elice Ferus and their people rise against injustice. All the love to them. Someone who also deserves all my love, Kase Eriksson, that man is the epitome of 'I would burn down the world, kill anyone in my path for my woman' and weirdly I'm very attracted to that. There is something about violence for me that does it.
This book, this series has left a special imprint on my heart. Everything about it makes my head spin, it is truly incredible.
We start with the North joining the East in their battle which was Epic. To be able to see all the characters from the North come back was amazing. Elise and Valen. Tor and Sol. Halvar now being a dad 😩 is so cute! Hagen and Herja reunion!
The romance in this book is amazing because we see Malin and Kase strengthen but also see glimpses of others forming like Gunnar and Eryka which im the end are set to marry!!! Tor and Sol finding their fated son. Elise and Valen expecting! Ugh so much love happening at once. Spice level was Mild again
The plot was amazing in this book. Too see the new magic from the Southern Fae and meeting their crew. The way the North and East become family is so satisfying. Malin finally taking the throne and being supported by the South and North! Valen being cursed again. Us meeting Erik and the Sea King being killed by Valen was crazy!
The ending was epic with Malin taking the throne. Sad about Ansel and his wife and Sigurd. The glimpse we get in the end of Ari and Saga 😏. Excited to learn more about him.

The way LJ Andrews has weaved this world is utter perfection. The absolute satisfaction of seeing this characters come together and the worlds colliding is crème de la crème.
There is an art form to this kind of storytelling that LJ just accomplishes so well. The fact we see books and couples and worlds colliding makes me want to squeal. The plot is good, the characters well developed and the pacing on point.
The romance is always spectacular and the dialogue is sharp and witty. There’s a special place in my heart now for the broken kingdoms series and I cannot wait to wrap it up with the final trilogy in this series before rereading ever king and ever queen with new eyes.
If you haven’t started reading indie yet and you’re looking for a rip roaring ride that’s unique, written well and heartfelt, then this series should be at the top of your TBR.
This final installment in Kase and Malin’s story was action packed and entertaining from start to finish! I absolutely adored getting to see the Nightrenders story and learn more about the struggles in the Eastern Kingdom.
I think this trilogy was stronger than the 1st in the Broken Kingdoms, so much yearning and longing between Kase and Mal!!! 😩 It was also so fun to have all our friends from the Northern Kingdom return to fight like one big family 🥰
Andrews does a great job with the intricate details of the world she has created. I really appreciated learning more about Alver magic in this series and understanding the different types. It’s nice so many loose ends were tied up here, but also exciting there are still more tales to be told! Looking forward to Ari’s story 🧝🏻♂️
I need a novella about Luca and Dagny like yesterday!!!
I absolutely adore this series! It’s bringing me so much joy. I read The Ever King Series first and was so happy when familiar characters made appearances and other favourites formed alliances. (trying not to spoil it haha) I haven't felt this invested in a series since Throne of Glass. I’m already dreading the hangover I’m going to have from this 😭🤣
if this book had a song it would be ‘fight for your right’ by the beastie boys. i will not elaborate on this, so sorry!!
but actually, i loved this set of 3 in the series. kase & mal are the perfect in their little shadowy way. it was fun reading about a bunch of thieves taking over a kingdom. i love these characters & their banter & i know it’s just gonna get better in the last 3 books
