Revert completely pulled me in. The premise alone—waking up months before your death with full knowledge of how it happened—was enough to get me interested, but Camille Peters took it much further. The mix of time travel, political intrigue, and constant twists and turns kept me hooked, and I ended up finishing the whole thing in a single day.
Bernice was a strong, well-written character. Despite being caught in a dangerous and corrupt court—and murdered by her own fiancé—she still showed determination and compassion. Castiel, with his complexity and hidden sides, made the evolving relationship between them feel authentic and layered. Their enemies-to-lovers story wasn’t rushed, and I really enjoyed seeing how it developed.
The villain’s grip over Thorndale added real tension, and the twists and turns right up to the end tied everything together perfectly. Just when I thought Camille Peters couldn’t top Decoy with its “assassin romance,” she somehow managed it here—with a story about a heroine and her actual murderer that still made sense and worked brilliantly.
Overall, Revert was a fast-paced, suspenseful read with a clever premise, unpredictable twists, solid character development, and a satisfying ending. Highly recommended if you enjoy clean romance blended with mystery, danger, and a touch of magic.
