“START AT THE BEGNNING, AND WHEN YOU COME TO THE END...STOP.”Wonderland is shattered. Split courts and a centuries-long war have ravaged the land. The only thread of hope is the Caterpillar’s prophecy that a new Alice will rise and bring peace.
Alice Moncoeur thinks she’s an average woman with an average life. But when her best friend turns out to be the White Rabbit and she the descendent of the original Alice Liddel, she discovers a world unlike anything she’s ever imagined. And everyone, it seems, is out to get her.
With the help of her Rabbits and a cast of interesting (and quite mad) characters, Alice must traverse the deadly landscape of Wonderland to claim the throne and unite the realm once and for all.
South Carolina native S.H. Roddey has been writing for fun since she was a child and still enjoys building worlds across the speculative fiction spectrum filled with mystery and intrigue. She brings to the literary world a unique blend of humor, emotion, and wild ideas filled with dark themes and strong characters. In addition to writing she is also a voracious reader, wanna-be chef, and video game addict with two full-time jobs: administrative social media professional, and mom to two cats, a teenager, and a precocious toddler with an affinity for computer keyboards.
This was a fun and creepy adventure. I loved the twists on the Wonderland story. Alice was a great character, and Jerome was downright entertaining. Loved all the other characters, too. While the threesome aspect wasn't my cup of tea, I still enjoyed the book.
