Lost. Lonely. Unloved. It’s no secret that me and my family aren’t close. Keeping up appearances because that is what is deemed necessary. Attending Sunday lunch, every week, even as I despise having to do so. But then my sister brought home Darius Cole, her newest boyfriend, and possibly the most handsome man I have ever seen. And even as I found him insanely attractive, I knew that I would take that one secret to the grave, because there are lines you just don’t cross, no matter how much you might want to. But then I find out that Darius is keeping a secret of his own. One my sister was never privy to. And in a twist of fate, his secret quickly becomes mine too, blurring the line between right and wrong. One weekend. One contract. Forty-eight hours… with my sister’s ex-boyfriend.
Bait Me by Lindsey Powell is book five of the Forbidden Fruits Series. Forbidden Fruits is a series of short novellas intended for readers over 18 years of age. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone and are based on a taboo trope with plenty of spice.
I love to read, and I love to write. My preferred genre is romance as I love an alpha male, but I am open to reading anything, especially if a book has been recommended to me.
I loved Bonnie and Darius’s story. I was rooting for them from the start. Special mention to the balcony, the strawberries and cream, and the shower scene of course! Lindsey, this was amazing! A fabulous five stars!! 🌟
This book is fantastic read 🔥 and 🌶️ . It’s past of the forbidden fruits series and is full of smut and a hot alpha. An alpha that will make you swoon! The spice was 😜! It’s a quick read and engages you from the first page - I hope there is another in the series !!!
I finished this forever ago but I guess I never wrote a review lol! But as the other books in the Forbidden Fruits I loved it. A great short book reading in between books and it was great . I have questions tho… what happened with her sister and her mom?? Like do they just give up?? I feel like they wouldn’t ya know?? I feel like this would make a great full length book… can we please get that 😭
I love the way these are short smutty books with story lines. The family issues are real and relatable with the added taboo of her sisters ex boyfriend. They are great short reads for anyone in a slump
