They kissed four years ago, igniting a spark. Now that spark might lead to their destruction.

First year high school teacher Shiloh Brookings is struggling to pay her brother’s medical bills. With students only a few years younger than she is, things are difficult enough, but when Gunner Ford enrolls in class, things go from unusual...to complicated.

Her brother’s best friend, a grown-up Gunner, is a temptation she doesn’t need. He's an unapologetic romantic who makes no secret of his feelings for Shiloh, and their long ago, toe-curling kiss makes him even harder to ignore.

But while a romance between student and teacher is forbidden, Gunner has no intention of walking away...especially once he discovers a deadly stalker hunts the small town of Lucy Falls, with Shiloh square in his crosshairs. And he'll do anything to destroy anyone who gets in his way.

As Gunner and Shiloh navigate their way around each other, it becomes clear there are two men with an obsession that has no bounds. One of those obsessions can save her...if the other doesn't kill her first.

“I’ll speak no secrets, but I’ll also tell no lies. Shiloh Brookings has always been my girl, and eventually all of Lucy Falls will have to deal with it.”

Ugh I should not be simping over Gunner Ford but I am.

I was asked by a friend if I was willing to read an ARC and I am so happy I did. I devoured it in 24 hours and my heart HURTS with that cliff hanger!!! I am so impatiently waiting for the next book!!

Romantic and Suspenseful

Forbidden romance and a stalker. It was pretty good. I love Gunner and Shiloh together. I'm still trying to figure out who the stalker is. It's between the doc and Shane.

If you need a book that is suspenseful, angsty, and full of twists then this is a definite must read right now!

Ok first off I actually read this book once before it was revamped into this amazing suspenseful masterpiece that it is today. With that said I loved it beforehand but with a few added details of Gunner and Shiloh's intense and angsty journey to finding more it just enhances the story tenfold.

Omg this book has absolutely everything you would ever want in a book such as; slight reverse age gap, forbidden romance, brother's best friend, stalker, twists and turns, suspense, off the charts heated connection, and all the small town feels. This is the next book in the Lucy Falls Series and it's the perfect read that is captivating from the start to that cliffhanger of epic portions.

You meet both Shiloh and Gunner as teens, then transition to them as young adults with Shiloh being 22 years old and Gunner just turning 19 years old. With Shiloh endures a tragic accident that causes her to lose her mother, and her brother falls into a coma, to having serious complications and injuries needing 24 hrs care in a private facility. Her journey is heartbreaking because she only has herself to lean on and becomes her brother's only caregiver. You will feel all the pain and loneliness of this character. With only a teacher's salary she finds her financial needs becoming overwhelmed and not enough to give her brother the care he needs, causing her to become an exotic dancer to off set the costs of his care. Not only is she willing to do something she has no desire to ever be apart of, but tries her best to keep it a secret from her small little town and students. She's a young woman who's had her life flipped upside down and is trying her best to navigate a bad situation the best she can all alone. I absolutely love her character because even though she's young she is extremely mature in life with no other options to grow up fast. When she finds herself becoming a target of a sinister stalker, she's left to wonder who can she trust and what to do next.

Gunner might only be 19 yrs old but he has a maturity to him that makes you just love him! He has had a crush on his best friend Sammy's sister Shiloh since his epic seven minutes in heaven with her. It may have started as a dare for her but it was the catalyst to his feelings to intensify as the years pass. She becomes his ultimate fantasy that no one can live up to ever. Then as fate itself steps in and brings these two back together once again, but it isn't all sunshine and googly hearted eyes for them. There are obstacles in their way from the start one big one being she's his English teacher and best friend's sister. Also they are facing an insane and unhinged stalker that doesn't like to share Shiloh, with drastic events escalating as these two start to become more, leaves you questioning if they can survive a mad man before its to late.

So do want an epic read with all the feels and dark suspense set in a small town?! Yes you do!!! This book will grab you from the start and having you questioning everyone along the way. It's one of my favorites reads and these characters have lived rent free in my mind for a very long time. I'm so excited for more of them and this series. Do yourself a huge favor and grab this one and get ready for an intense, heartbreaking, and suspenseful ride with two amazing characters you will undoubtedly love. This author is hands down one of my favorites, who can deliver that all encompassing, captivating, and intensity of a suspenseful small town romance that pulls you in from the very beginning and keeps you glued till the end. Highly recommend it as a must read!

Speak-No-Secrets-by-E-R-Whyte

Shiloh is trying to stay on top of all the never-ending bills. She’s working as a high school teacher, to students only a few years younger than she is, in the day and stripping at night. If anyone finds out about her second job, it will be the end of her teaching career. She also knows that giving in to Gunner Ford will make things more complicated.

Gunner has always had feelings for his best friend’s sister. The fact that she was three years older than him didn’t stop him from flirting. When he enrolled in her class, he wanted her to know his feelings for her. He didn’t want to hold back now that he was old enough to be in a relationship with her. But she’s not giving him a chance, and he won’t stop until she gives him one. Their one-time kiss years ago only made him want her more.

Gunner isn’t the only one who wants Shiloh. There’s a stalker lurking around every corner, watching, and he won’t stop until she’s his. Gunner wants to protect her and she might eventually let him in.

Speak-No-Secrets-by-E-R-Whyte-3

This story includes an age gap (though not by much), a brother’s best friend, a teacher and a student, and suspense. It also has a few triggering subjects, like stalking, kidnapping, and violence. A romantic suspense story about a young man who falls in love with an older woman and tries to protect her from danger. What could go wrong when her job and her life were on the line?

Speak-No-Secrets-by-E-R-Whyte-1

Sometimes it felt like there were some holes in the plot when one chapter ended and the next started on a completely different timeline. And when Shiloh keeps reminding Gunner of their age difference and how she can’t lose any of her jobs but he still continues to push her, it just felt irritating. All the while, as I’ve been reading, I kept thinking about how the stalker is probably thinking in the same way Gunner is. But the stalker’s way of expressing it was different, of course.

Speak-No-Secrets-by-E-R-Whyte-2

One thing I wanted to see was Sammy, Shiloh’s brother, and Gunner’s best friend. The interactions with him were brief, and he seemed to be an intriguing character that could’ve added more to the story somehow. They just kept saying that he wasn’t the same, that he was broken, and then they’d say he’s fine, he won’t break. For some reason, that made me angry and I wish he got more of a role in the story.

Speak-No-Secrets-by-E-R-Whyte-4

Other than that, Gunner and Shiloh’s story was filled with chemistry and push/pull moments. With a lot on the line for Shiloh, she wanted to stay on the safe side and not risk anything. Her brother needed medical care, and she was willing to do anything to help him. Gunner wanted to help his best friend, and it didn’t hurt that as a bonus he would be helping the woman he’s always had a crush on. In a way, it was cute to see them try to work things out between them. Gunner sounded wiser than Shiloh, considering that she liked to remind him of their age difference. He was always ready to point out every irrational fear or act she made.

All in all, I enjoyed this one, and the cliffhanger left me curious about what’s next in their story. I’d love to get my hands on the other books in the Lucy Falls series.

Before you start reading "Speak No Secrets", be sure to have book 2 of the Lucy Falls series on hand. If not, you'll be left hanging waiting for the next one. It is out now. You aren't going to want to wait!

This story has some interesting very adult moral dilemmas contrasted against the relative innocence of young love. The fmc is a teacher who moonlights as a stripper to pay the bills. Since the car accident involving her mother's death and brother's traumatic brain injury, she has had to make career choices while barely being an adult herself. She needs the steady paycheck and insurance between her 2 jobs to cover her brother's medical bills. This dichotomy between innocent teenager and a young adult who is suddenly forced to make very adult decisions is central to this story line.

Of course, there is a love interest involved and in this case it's a brother's best friend, reverse age gap romance. Once again, this relationship begins in childhood but it becomes the obsessive mmc's attempt to win his long-time crush. It's all at once innocent and sexy AF and you will be unsure where it's heading even through the end of book 1.

As if this storyline is not tempting enough, there is a stalker involved who provides a suspenseful, disturbing element. There are several characters who could all be the mysterious person terrorizing the fmc, and I have to admit that I vacillated between them all at one time or another.

E. R. Whyte has become one of my favorite authors and I have reviewed a couple of her other books. Each has earned 5+ stars and this one is just as wonderful. It's a wild ride that will have you guessing, cringing, sighing and judging throughout the book. Only book 2 will hold the answers and your guess is as good as mine what the outcome may hold.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This story was full of suspense, danger, forbidden love, tragedy, angst, mystery, tension, humor, and sultriness. 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘕𝘰 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘴 kept me on the edge of my seat and that cliffhanger had me screaming at my kindle! E.R. Whyte definitely knows how to pull you in from the very first chapter and makes it extremely difficult to put this book down to adult. I’m dying to know what happens next and I have so many unanswered questions that I’m counting down the days to the follow-up in Shiloh and Gunner’s story.

Gunner has had a secret crush on his best friend’s sister since he was 10-years old. Fast forward to high school and Shiloh is dared to play seven minutes in heaven with an underclassmen who so happens to be Gunner. Shiloh graduates high school early and fast tracks herself through college to become a teacher to help cover the costs of her brother’s medical expenses after he was involved in a tragic car accident that has left him wheelchair bound. However, when the bills become too much Shiloh picks up a second job as a stripper a few towns over to help pay the bills to cover his rehabilitation.

When Gunner realizes the predicament she has found herself in, he makes it his mission to do whatever he can to help her leave the job at the club. When it becomes apparent that Shiloh is also dealing with a stalker, and the threats are escalating it only ramps up Gunner’s protectiveness to epic proportions. And I have too many guesses on who that stalker is! E.R. did a great job not giving too much information for the reader to figure it out. I’m still sitting here trying to narrow it down to one person, but the clues only give you just enough to leave you constantly guessing.

I absolutely adored Shiloh and Gunner! Even though Gunner is a senior and Shiloh is his teacher (3-year age difference), the push and pull between these two has you understanding from both points of views on where their feelings and emotions lie. Gunner may only be a few years younger but he is definitely wise beyond his years. I can’t wait to see what happens with their love story in the next book!

I could not put this book down! I read it from start to finish…and it ended in a cliffhanger! It’s 2am, and I want to start the next book despite my need for sleep. That’s how good this book is!!!

This is the first novel I’ve read by this author, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters are complex, their worlds and interplay fascinating, and who doesn’t love a good suspense novel with plenty of action and slow burn steamy romance? The intrigue and plot twists just keep on coming…the amount of crazy that the two main characters are dealing with beyond their own complex feelings for each other is just amazing…between the serial killer, the stalker, the doctor, the high-school ex, the genius, the brother, the deployed best friend…there are so many moving parts and characters I want to explore further. This is such an engrossing read.

I was shocked when it ended in a cliffhanger, and the author’s “OMG I’m so sorry…” note after the cliffhanger ending was just too cute for words. I literally laughed out loud, was mad for a millisecond, and then thought, “I’m so excited to see how the story continues and I’m so glad it’s not over yet!” I’ve never been so conflicted over a book ending before, but for me it’s a good thing!!!

This is a fresh new experience and I’m soooo looking forward to reading more of this author’s work.

Oh. My. God. I can NOT believe the audacity of this author! The nerve of ending on such a dramatic cliffhanger! And then to make us wait for the sequel to be published a month later?? I'm clutching my nonexistent pearls at the thought.

God, this book was so good, so brilliantly worded, so immersive even that I spent almost two whole days reading this book when I can easily read three 300-pages books in one day. I can't choose my favourite part of this book because it was just so perfect. Every character's development was easy to see - even feel - in the story. I absolutely loved Gunner Ford and how assertive and determined he is about chasing Shiloh. My heart is overflowing with love for this wonderfully flawed yet amazing man I desperately wish was real.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wishes to read a beautiful slightly taboo smutty romance (without actual smut!) with an interest in stalkers, dominant young men, and a strong heroine to boot.

Now, please excuse me while I go sit in the corner and wait for the sequel to be published soon - because if I don't get to read the ending, I'll go absolutely crazy.

Thank you so much, Booksprout and the author's team, for an ARC of this book. My deepest, deepest gratitude, really.

Whoa I was not expecting that cliffhanger of an ending. This book was a wild ride of romance, suspense, mystery, intrigue and a little of the forbidden. Shiloh’s life gets off track when a car accident kills her mother and seriously injures her brother. Shiloh was left as her brother’s guardian and it changes her future plans she becomes a high school teacher and ends up working at a gentlemen’s club to pay mounting medical bills. Gunner was her brother’s best friend but after the accident he pulled away. When Gunner see’s Shiloh at the club and ends up in her English class they reconnect. Enter a crazy stalker and this story takes off. The back and forth between Shiloh and Gunner all while trying to fend off the increasing crazy of the stalker kept me turning pages. I will say I’m usually one to guess how a story is going to go but Ms. Whyte has done a good job throwing me off. I’m not sure who the stalker is and I’m anxiously awaiting the next book to find out. I’m not usually a suspense reader but this book has made me change my mind. This was well written and has made me a fan in search of more books by Ms. Whyte. I loved the dedication it made me smile and same girl same!.

I really liked this book. However, if you are judging a book by it’s cover, it’s not what you’ll expect. There is spice, but my guess is that the real thing will come up in book 2 - which I had to buy (and read) as soon as I finished this book. That cliffhanger...
I quickly became invested in the characters and their fates.
I admit that I was wary of reading this book because of the forbidden romance being a high school teacher-student romance, however, it’s not quite as bad as that. The characters are actually quite close in age and there is a past between them. Also, the female MC is actually quite adamant that there be nothing between them. So this part of the story/trope is actually believable. There is an undeniable attraction between the MCs that the reader can’t ignore.
The dual point of view gives us good insight into the characters and their motives, both of which are very amiable.
There are some elements that are a little harder to swallow, such as the MC being a stripper too…
A well done element: the stalker. I have read a lot of true crime and the stalker is very realistic. The things he does 😯.
I received a digital copy of this book to read and review. The opinions expressed are my own honest opinions.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this story. Student teacher is one of my favorite troupes to read, so this did not disappoint especially since the teacher is a woman. The age gap isn't that big, so it doesn't make their relationship gross or immoral really, it's much more of a gray area as mentioned by the MC's dad.
Things I liked about this book were that it left you with several guesses as to who the stalker is. The FMC Shiloh didn't give in immediately to Gunner's pursuit for moral reasons as she was in a position of authority over him. She repeatedly told him to go away even though she was very attracted to him. They had a history which made the relationship complicated. I liked that Gunner didn't give up in his pursuit of her, and really tried to be mature about what he wanted from her. He was willing to wait to have a relationship with Shiloh but was earnest in being there as a support for her. The author gave a thorough description of each scene to where you felt immersed in the story.
Thank goodness the follow up is available, so I was able to jump right in and fight out who was stalking Shy. I'm hoping there's a third book that picks up with Esme.

Okay, first of all, thank you for sending me a copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review.

This book wasn’t for me. I read it entirely to make sure about that, but I thought about DNFing it.
It’s not badly written, which helped reading it.

BUT, I was pretty uncomfortable regarding what’s going on between Shiloh and her HIGH SCHOOL PUPIL. Because, high school is not college, it’s high school, and that made things not okay for me.
Gunner, the said student, gave me the icks. His behavior is not okay, he is forceful, and while I will always support perseverance, sometimes it’s best to step back and understand that no means no.
Shiloh was annoying too, and some things in this story were just going too fast.
The stalker thing could have been nice, but it’s just not correctly used in my opinion. We read about these girls being abducted like twice during the book, and that’s all. I don’t know but things were kinda off sometimes.

This book just didn’t make it for me, but it’s okay, because it might be someone else’s favorite and I sure hope that others will have a good time reading it !

OK so I like the premises of the book so far but the fmc needs a attitude adjustment like you got a stalker but you gonna turn down people trying to help you that's just annoying. Also I'm at page 239 and before in the beginning of the book it talked about how a retired k9 lived with a old man down the road who was a retired detective and how it barked at squirrels but then when the cops showed up after that first call they had to mention to her a detective lives on the road and would keep an eye out but now the detective working her case is like you can borrow Kota his dog so now I'm wondering if this is a mix up or if this is like a homing development for detectives lol. Idk but so far it's an OK book a little to much filler imo but still okish.

Found another inconsistency on page 327 she says she's had the job for well over a year now but then in the past she got the job not months after the wreck which was supposedly 2.5-3yrs ago.
Also he has gray eyes but in the beginning they were icy blue....
I've finished now and it's OK but it still needs some more fine tuning. On to the next now .

Holy moly I enjoyed this book a LOT more than I thought I would. I was a little hesitant at first based on the synopsis, but it proved to be a decent book (once you get past the whole teacher/student thing).

Shiloh is maintaining her new normal - working two jobs to take care of her brother after an accident three years earlier. By day she teaches high school English to seniors and by night she's a stripper in a town an hour away.

Things change though when one night Gunner Ford, one of her brother's best friends (and former 7 Minutes in Heaven kiss) shows up to the club.

From there, all hell breaks loose.

Shiloh also has a stalker, one who is getting dangerously closer, and closer to Shiloh. Gunner vows to protect Shiloh and also try to win her heart, something that Shiloh wants, but doesn't go for due to the fact that Gunner IS STILL HER STUDENT. That part is the most uncomfy part of the entire book. This kid is 19 (he's held back) and she's only 22 teaching SENIORS.

Anyway, it ends on a cliff hanger and I immediately downloaded book two so I can read the rest. I'm invested.

Oh wow, this book was a whirlwind. This book had me in a chokehold from the beginning till the end. I loved the romance and thriller aspect of the story, and the stalker idea was amazing. I really enjoyed this book and am obsessed with the names of the characters.
Shiloh- I really enjoyed her character. I respected her independence and her will to take care of her brother. She would do anything for those she loves and it is fantastic. The only thing that frustrated me was how much she fought her feelings for Gunner. I just wanted her to accept them so they can be together lol.
Gunner- I adore this man. I loved how he knew he wanted Shiloh from the minute he met her when he was 13, and has loved her since. His protective streak was to die for. He is just amazing, and I need a man like him in my life.
This book was awesome! Also, A CLIFFHANGER!! Really?! I need the next book ASAP. If you are looking for a romance thriller, this is the book for you.

★”Shiloh’s soul spoke to mine the first time I met her, when I was ten years old…”★

—>>> "Mine answered, even if she didn’t hear it." Sigh. This guy!!! Again, the storytelling in this second installment of Lucy Falls gripped me, with its expanding cast of characters, the hot & taboo relationship between a teacher and her student, and a sinister thread weaving its way from the first book more firmly to create more suspense and angst. This is Gunner’s big second chance scene, and this time, he is absolutely not stopping until he makes her realize she was meant to be his, because she is all he had ever really wanted since their first contrived kiss in a dark closet. Very much looking forward to finishing Shiloh and Gunner’s story and to find out where the stalker’s obsession will lead everyone next.

The angst, the tension, the attraction... Wow!

This book includes multiple pov, best friends older sister, age gap, student teacher tropes and a Stalker and I was hooked.
Shiloh and Gunner had 7 minutes in heaven on a party several years ago and Gunner was done for her right away and has been since then, but for Shiloh life took a different turn, when her mum and her brother were in a car accident. Her mum died and she started taking care of her severely injured brother right away. This meant stopping to pursue her passion and starting to teach and strip to pay the medical bills.
When gunner sees her in the strip club and becomes her student he can't keep distant and tries to help her right away.
But on top off everything Shiloh has a Stalker who is becoming more and more invasive and the police have no leads.
Of course our man Gunner steps in and does everything in his power to help her which includes hiring someone to watch her house.
Shiloh has a difficult time accepting Gunners help and dealing with her attraction to him since he is his student, but does she have the energy to keep him at arms length when everything goes to hell and can he protect her when her Stalker finally decides watching from a distance is not enough?

I couldn't put the book down and am still kinda mad that it ends on a cliffhanger, but it is worth every second I was biting my nails and I can honestly only recommend it to everyone who likes his romance dark and twisted with lots of angst.

This was a lot! Took me a moment to really enjoy the story but it has so much to offer.

Gunner and Shiloh have the possibility to be so good together - I really loved watching that relationship be elevated from the younger brothers best friend to lovers. Even though Gunner was a bit much for me at times. It’s the thought that counts right?

With a slight age gap (three years give or take), the only thing really giving Shiloh a pause was he is her student. High school student!
Shiloh was a wonderful FMC - strong willed. Wanting the best for those around her. Putting her needs last on the list. I’m really hoping to see her step up and make herself a priority.

I personally needed the story to slow down and give me a little more detail but I am excited to see what happens next in ‘Tell No Lies’.

The suspense book I was looking for....
Well, I really don't do good with the trope "Heroine is older than the hero" But this book changed my opinion. I never knew heroine falling for a guy 3years younger than her could be this hawtttt....

Gunner is a deterministic boy. He made sure to claim Shiloh as his own and the way he behaved with her always gave me chills.

I wasn't able to get over that lap dance of M. Cherry Pie on Gunner's lap. That scene made me sweat a lot while my air con was trying to cool down my body temperature.

Now, that cliffhanger did wonders to fuck my brain. I truly didn't expect that when I was going to find the (anonymous) stalker. I truly need more and this is the best Romantic Suspense book with lots of amazing tropes.

Reverse age gap..... took the whole book to another better level for me.

While usually not a student/teacher book fan, E.R. Whyte got me loving this book and wanting more!

Shiloh is about three years older than Gunner who happens to be a good friend of Sammy, Shiloh's brother.

Gunner is a high school senior and nearly 19 when Shiloh comes crashing back into his life. She being the one that got away.

Life has been hard for Shiloh and Sammy. Losing their mom and Sam's medical issues from a car accident.

What I loved was the way that I felt each characters feelings and lets just say that the way that Gunner treats Shiloh is the way that every woman wants to be treated!

I need the next story yesterday! Pretty please!!.

Romantic Suspense at It’s Best

Shiloh is a teacher with an unusual side job to say the least. Gunner, just a few years younger than her, is her student. It’s a line she won’t cross despite all his efforts and her own growing desires. In the meantime, young women are disappearing and the stalker has set his sights on Shiloh. Whyte certainly knows how to create a story that hooks you and keeps reeling you in. Great characters, delicious plot, and a palpable tension make this a great read. Warning, there’s a cliffhanger but the next book should be out shortly. I highly recommend this book.

Speak No Secrets is a story that will have your heart aching and head spinning. Shiloh is the older sister, doing what she has to help her brother. When becoming a teacher did not completely help, she took up a side job a couple of towns over. Gunner is a couple of years younger than Shiloh and is her brother's best friend, but that has not stopped him from loving her since he was ten and wanting to do anything to help.

Throw in the danger of a stalker, the suspense of what will happen next keep you on the edge of your seat wanting more.

The second book in The Lucy Falls Series.
Shiloh is a high school teacher struggling to make ends meet to pay for her brother's medical bills.
Gunner Ford becomes her student, only a couple of years younger than her, and they have a past tests all her will.
A truly forbidden connection, Shiloh keeps him at arm's length.
Gunner, however, has no intention of listening to her push-offs.
Shiloh is also dealing with a stalker, and Gunner is adamant about helping, making the stalker angry.
With a cliffhanger, the ending left me jumping into book three straight away.
Brilliant writing, angst, gritty and suspenseful.

This one was boring. MCs had no chemistry and did not suit each other. Gunner doesn’t know how to accept refusal. Like the girl is saying no at every moment dude. Take a hint. And it’s mentioned a million times how he’s more a man than a boy and has been managing family business bla bla. We get it.
Shiloh was boring as well. She doesn’t know what she wants. Either you want gunner or you don’t.

Also the story was boring. Every aspect of it was boring - Sammy, Stalker, gunner… and the meeting with gunner’s father was so weird idk he just gave green light to his son’s teacher to date his son …

Well, E.R. Whyte has done it again! She has woven a story that lives rent free in my head. Shiloh's love for her brother filled my heart within the first few pages. Gunner. Gah. Love him so much. His love for Shiloh has no end. I absolutely loved that the author put a POV of the stalker/serial killer, making me hate him even more.

If you are yearning for a book full of steam, suspense, thrill, angst, and so much more... this is the book for you!

Trust me, it will leave you scrambling for book two! I know I am tapping the table top waiting on its release!

This is the third book I've read written by E.R. Whyte; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the second book in the Lucy Falls Series. The story is about Shiloh & Gunner. He’s her brother’s best friend and four years ago they shared a kiss. Now she’s a school teacher and he just enrolled and is planning on picking up where they left off but she’s knows it’s forbidden. The story continues in the next book.

I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.

I despise a cliffhanger

I loved this book, its trope and all of the mind bending twists and turns it takes. It definitely keeps the reader guessing.
What I do not love is a freaking cliffhanger...in this instance it was quite literally,a cliffhanger. It wouldn't have been necessary to end it this way if there wasn't so much "filler" in the very beginning.
The characters are compelling, the story original. I just wish I didn't read such a long book with no ending, only to have to wait a while for its conclusion, and another book to release. 3.5⭐

This is a well written book with strong characters and a page turning storyline. The author does a fantastic job pulling you into the story and kept me glued to the pages with all the danger, mystery and suspense as well as the humor, anxiety and sizzling romance. She moves the story fluidly with her perfectly painted scenes and delivers a terrific read. Loved and recommend this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

This is a fairly new author for me. I enjoyed her first story, "Play Me False", in the "Lucy Falls" series so I had to pick this one up. I was so engrossed in the suspenseful story until the cliffhanger ending. Very frustrating indeed!! The story is about Shiloh and Gunner. This story develops nicely with intrigue, suspense, danger, stalker action and good twists. Such an intriguing story that leaves you hanging and craving more. I cannot wait to finish Shiloh and Gunner's story.
