Lent Devotions: Walking to Calvary

Rate this book
Preparing ourselves spiritually for the somber events of Holy Week and the glorious celebration of Easter is a hard task for most Christians these days. We are all under a lot of pressure from our loved ones, schools, churches, health, and work. We are also constantly bombarded and distracted by text messages, emails, and social media postings.

This e-book is written to help each Christian who reads it, make some quality time every day in Lent to focus on a scripture verse, read a relevant devotion, meditate on a piece of art, and say a short prayer. There are also two daily questions for personal reflection to enable the reader to think about the journey of faith that she or he are presently on.

The title of the book is “Walking to Calvary.” I chose this with the idea of focusing on Christ’s determination during His final weeks of ministry before His betrayal, arrest, and crucifixion. My hope is that, by the time Holy Week arrives, the reader will have been on a spiritual pilgrimage and feel ready to truly experience the depth, meaning, and purpose of Holy Week.
