Caprice and Owl
Book 1/3. It was full of suspense. This story is told from a several POVs. A lot of moving pieces but I see them falling into place. I like the fast pace telling of the story.

Awkward!
I absolutely love a romantic thriller! Clarice is really a very intelligent young lady. I am glad that she is channeling her Nancy Drew in figure out what’s really wrong with her father but it just seems as if she’s overlooking the obvious. I’m also glad that Owl shared the reason for his marriage, but this situation they are in is no less tacky and awkward!

There's a mystery afoot!
The trope is placed in the title, our resident Virgin aka Caprice has a couple of balls she's juggling, a whack mother who is picking a rapey BF over her child, a father who skipped out when she was younger, burn scars on her back, and an offer she couldn't refuse from her long lost half-sissy. Caprice is at an odd life juncture when her half-sister pops up in her life and makes an even odder request, "hey I know you don't know me like that but why don't you live with the on-his-deathbed-deadbeat father who abandoned you & watch his nurse because I don't trust her". And with that set-up we are off trying to figure out the mystery of the nurse, reconcile the physical decline and missed opportunities with her dad, and most of all, the sexy married neighbor next door.
This is not a friends to lover romance it's a neighbors to lovers romance. Get it right! Our resident Rich Jamaican next door has some issues himself. Between figuring out how to constantly swerve his clearly-she-has-to-be-psycho wife and being a good son and brother. Owl see's the rare gem that Caprice is, imperfections and all, and he's a goner. Even when he minimally tries to fight it.
Candy Moore is an expert writer. She really knows how to handle these types of stories and pull out the romance. In this one, I felt so much for each character. She has a knack for knowing which characters to give a POV chapter to and which ones who don't. She knows how to move the story forward with drama, intrigue, and good sexy build-up. The push/pull and sexy crescendo with our mains was worth the price of admission.
Will Caprice continue to be a really horrible liar and half-bad Nancy Drew? Will Owl get that 5th red mark? Can Reaper learn how to be a man? Find out in the next installment! Same bat channel! Same bat time!

Babyyyy, the tea is HOTTTTTT! These absent and don't want ish to do with kids fathers really be killing me! Then when they need help for health purposes, they call on those same kids that they abandoned! Thankfully, Caprice mama really ain't ish for letting her offender back in their house so she took Shantel's offer up! Maria is a dangerous rat and I can't wait to see her and Clarissa's connection and why they want Terry dead. Something tells me his ex-wife and other daughter has something to do with it, but we'll see! Caprice done got her flower plucked! Lawdamercy, this gone be EPIC! Reaper really need to get his ladies in order! Just ratchet everywhere they go! I don't know why he just don't leave them both alone! I hope Victoria is ok. Sis tryna find love in all the wrong places because her heart is longing for Reaper, but he is emotionally unavailable! Whewwwww! Part 2, here I come!

Boy oh boy!! I can't wait until Clarissa gets the Karma she deserves. Owl needs to start feeding her her own medicine. I can't wait to find out the why to her madness. I like Owl and I can't wait for him to figure a way out of Clarissa's clutches. He deserves happiness and I believe Caprice is the only one that can give him that because she deserves it to after the trauma she's been through. Ion know how to feel about Reaper. I don't care for the way he treats Princess or Victoria. His actions may cause him to loose both women. I hope Princess really do leave and give him what he wants. Something has to be done about that nurse. 💘💘

This series is gonna be lit. See how could u get me in this book doing a happy dance now I'm sitting down pouting cause I gotta wait on the next book 🤧. My girl I hate her mom pick her dude over her child. But karma is a mug she is gonna get hers. And Owl play wife is what I call her cause of what she is doing, I can't wait for her karma and that nurse ten times fold. Why is she tryna kill her neighbor? U did good on the first book that I read and I'm looking forward to reading more. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read

Wow, the events turned in this story.
Some of the crazy things people do to benefit from others is beyond me! I’m needing part to understand the relationship between Mrs. King and Maria. They are plotting against something.
Poor Victoria, truly hope everything works out for her and she is going to be ok. As for Damian and his wife, he better be carefully cause she differently plotting. She knows what that plant can do and that’s why she has it.

wow great read
This book was good can’t wait for part 2. Clarissa and Maria are both evil bit*hes. I think her daddy was probably having an affair with one of them and once the wife left him they probably thought he would wife them. She needs to tell Damien to take the plant and hide it and go to the police and medical board to call her ass out. I hope these evil hoes get what they deserve.

This book had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end, it was a thrilling ride and I can't wait to see how the love triangle between Caprice, Damien, and Clarissa, enfolds in the next installment of this book. Caprice is a bit green to the world that Damien lives being that she has lived a sheltered life. I'm not sure how his wife, Clarissa is going to feel when she finds out that Damien has his eye on a new woman. I can't wait to see what happens next in Book 2.

This was a great read & I look forward to part 2. Caprice isn't very smart. Why not have the bag of supplements tested? Why save your virginity only to give it to a man that u know is married with a side chick? Make better decisions girl! Anywho, the book is great & I like all of the side characters too. Interested to know how Reaper & Daniella's stories end. And I hope we see more of Jill too

I like how the book flowed with the characters they each have their own
individual stories within the story as it's written.Their,s more to this than meets the eye the wife really is evil I think probably going to plot on the husband next. I love how Owl makes Clarice aware of her beautiful self .Great read can't wait for part 2

Good read
Started slow then got good. But I will say this get the book it's well worth the time. I love Damien and Caprice together. Reaper is a mess I hope Victoria makes it because I can't see Princess helping raise Jizell she's too jealous hearted. I'll be so glad when Owl gets rid of Clarissa and the nurse. Waiting for part 2.

Caprice’s father is woke . Yes!!!!! Clarissa is an evil something. I believe she put something in Owl’s drink which is why he doesn’t know how she ended up pregnant in the first place. I hope Reaper gets it together for his daughter and stops being such a dog. I hope Caprice and Owl get their happy ending. Why is Clarissa drugging Caprice’s father. On to part 2.

I just don't know where to start! This book was so good! I hate that Caprice's mother chose a man over her daughter. That has to suck! I'm glad Damien brought Caprice out of her shell. I just hate that he's married. I am glad that Caprice got a chance to meet her father. I gotta get into part 2!

couldn’t put it down
I honestly can’t wait to read more of this series, this first book had me hooked. I couldn’t put it down. I kind of knew where the story was going and I still ate up every word. The doctor wife is crazy and I wonder what her master plan is bc she obviously has one.
