"When you fall for someone, it doesn't happen in that very split second. You don't tether off the edge of a cliff and hurl yourself off. No. Instead, it starts off slow. Unconsciously. Feelings develop overtime, and before you know it, you find yourself thinking about that person all the time. He infiltrates your mind, your thoughts, your heart.

Then the realization suddenly dawns on you, and you are halfway down the cliff, falling, falling, falling. You have no idea what lies below, if there's a safety net to catch you, or if you're just going to crash on the rocks below."

When I started reading this story, what immediately captured me was the author's writing style. It was so captivatingly simple and I loved that. Another thing I also loved about this story was how it managed to portray to current trends of our generation and at the same time address some current issues the youth faces in our society. As much as I'd want to mention one of these issues, I won't since it's practically the turning point of the story. The romance and the whole 'accepting-someone-despite-their-flaws-and-the-mistakes-they've-made-in-the-past' thing going was really sweet and endearing. It made me all giddy and stuff. :3

In general, I really loved this story though it felt like there was something missing. I probably would've preferred it to be longer.

A really nice cute short story.

Declan was really cute and I loved Joey for starting the Cherry Knot challenge in the first place. The story is definitely deeper than it seems by reading the title and summary but not too deep either.

And the next time I'm having cherries, I'm definitely gonna try to tie a cherry knot. I want to know whether I'm a good kisser. Hopefully, I won't choke.

And I just love the subtitle! 'If You Want A Girl To Kiss You, You Get her To Teach You How'.

A perfectly adorable short love story :)

Romance as a main genre bores me. I can usually tolerate it as a sub genre, but I find it very hard to stick with as the main genre of a book, simply because there's very little to do in that genre.

Cherry Knots, however, was such a good read that I finished it within a few hours of picking it up, and started on the "sequal" as soon as I had finished.

I don't know if it was the story itself or the writing style that drew me to this particular tale. In all honesty, there's nothing entirely different about this story to any other in the Romance genre, if anything, I'd say its a rather typical romance book and one any romance reader would enjoy.

But there was something about it that made it unforgettable. The characters, the writing style, the structure, the philosophy. I loved how everything was cleverly constructed and pieced together so elegantly.

The characters didn't just fall in love, they grew and changed together. There wasn't a guaranteed happy ending, just an ending to this chapter in their lives. The reader doesn't know if ten years from the stories end the characters are still together, because there isn't any promise of forever, and I loved the realistic touch that, that gave to the tale.

There are many types of books in Wattpad, good ones, bad ones and the one that got you into the site in first place. This book would be place in the category of good ones and the types of book that were the reason for you to get into Wattpad.
The plotline of the love story has a realism tight to it that you can't really ignore it, the characters have flaws and, unlike other books, there isn't a promise for a perfect and a happy ending.
I loved the book because, in spite of being a short story, you could understand the broken and sadness that surrounded each of the main character and how learning to love each other make them grow into a happier person. The end does not promise a relationship that will last forever but you could just tell how much love and understanding they have for each other in that very same scene.

Eloise teaches Declan how to tie a cherry knot while trying not to fall in love for him.

It's short and light! I first read it back in 2013 when I was still a schoolgirl and this was peak romance to me, then I've been a fan of Noelle ever since. I remember being shocked at Eloise's secret reveal and believing the ability to tie cherry knots is directly proportional to your kissing skill. Good times.

Nolan hasn't appeared yet, but I already miss him. It's a shame that Haley's Comet is no longer available.

Hmm it seems lately nothing can satisfy me completely. This was another 3.5* read. As you may know I cannot deduct half a star so I usually upgrade to full.
But this was a very fast, nice read, that gave some insight into Parker's life before Slow Dancing. So it was a welcome addition to this universe.

I don't really read short stories but this popped up on wattpad. I love how the story was quite deep but not too depressing. Elouise is such a misunderstood character and very unreliable and I like this because by the end of the book I felt she was more of the antagonist than Parker. Definitely wanna read more by this other I loved the symbolism of the clock!

Can I just say that Noelle is one of my favourite authors on Wattpad? Yeah. She's one of those authors who can actually write on the site. Most of the stories have a good plotline but poor writing and grammar. However, Noelle surpasses amateurs, to be honest.

Cherry Knots is one of those books that will be imprinted in your mind for days. The writing style is poetic; everything just flows perfectly. That being said, there are some flaws, but they can be overlooked, I suppose. Eloise was a character who needed to be fleshed out better, and we needed to know more of her background since there wasn't much of a backstory. Also, she was highly dependent on Declan, but it was their flaws which made Cherry Knots realistic.

The author has said that Eloise isn't a reliable narrator and the Eloise/Declan relationship is toxic: it can't last long. I agree that she isn't reliable, but I think that they can make it through. I really believe that Decloise is one of those relationships where they'll find problems but eventually pave their way out.

It's a good, short read, and I would recommend it to everyone <3

(P.S Slow Dancing by @hepburnettes is beautiful. It's about Parker's step-sister and his best-friend.)

Yeah, the worse thing happened:
I'm not from the first book.

Fortunately, each books dont have any continuity, still related but even tho you read from the last, it doesnt make you curious. (But, its not meeeee hiks)
I'm sad.....
I read Slow Dancing first

But this story has another POV

I was so curious when I read Slow Dancing, about Parker's story with his ex-gf. Furthermore, the story is explained here.
She's Ellois, the girl Parker love until now, the girl who gets Harte's heart, the girl with 2 heart for 2 boys I think.
Something in the past with Parker made her stress until she met Declan Harte, Parker's best friend. It happened because just cherry knot, something you play when you eat cherry in your mouth. If you can tie cherry with you tongue, you are the best kisser!

It's just short story (unlike the Slow Dancing one), so it's just El's POV and I'm curious with Parker's POV.

I'm disagree if Parker with this girl. Just NO! Find another one, pleaseee:(

Can't wait for Parker's love story to be revealed!! (because in Slow Dancing, Parker is dating someone that he didnt want to tell)

WOOOO, so mysterious!:p

Firstly, Cherry Knots is one of the few books on wattpad which is extremely fun to read and also interesting. I like the fact she writes short stories because the author actually realizes that beating around the bush is annoying and irritating.

I believe that the reasons why this book is so good is because hepburnettes uses simple language and because her writing is absolutely amazing. I would suggest this book for those who just love Eleanor & Park because Cherry Knots reminds me a lot about it. Plus the author at least tries to avoid cliches and when using them she doesn't just give away the story but makes us read further to understand.

Also another reason why this is a success is because it's a short story. I mean imagine if she was like other wattpad authors. If this whole 'kissing game' was dragged on for like up to 50 chapters or something I would be like "WHAT THE EFFING FREAKING HELL IS THIS PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A BOOK!" However since it's only a few chapters, it was a pleasure for me to read this book.

It's strange for me to do a review for a wattpad story. Some are good, some are bad, and others are exceptional even by published standards. This book is one of those on that website that really holds value both in plot and writing style.

Perhaps I am biased. The author has a very strong voice that I love. It is clearly audible in this book.

There is one point that I would like to concede to. This story of hers in particular is a little bit shallow compared to her others. If it were fleshed out a little bit more that would make it perfect. As it is, there are definitely some very deep topics here. The author is fantastic at bringing controversial subjects into play. She pulls it off perfectly, leaving the reader to come to a conclusion about how they feel.

This is a good read, and I recommend it.

I was a bit hesitant to start this one at first because I didn't think it could be very interesting. However, I was only a few pages in when I fell in love with it. The writing style of this author is absolutely amazing. The style is so poetic, and each word is used eloquently.
There is a certain type of realness to this novel; I don't know how to describe it better than that. This isn't just another one of those fluffy wattpad stories. This story adds deep, real life issues to the characters.
This was an amazing short story and I'm glad it won a watty award!
I'll also confess to trying to do the whole cherry knotting thing. I failed probably because I was trying to use an apple stem (which was very stiff and broke in half) since I didn't have cherries.

Even though this is a very short and simple story, I really enjoyed it alot! :) well I wouldn't say that the plot is very original but it was enjoyable. Haha. Having the guys come up with a stupid stunt like that so as to attract the attention of a girl, happens so often that it is relatable. Declan is still cute in the immature little boy kind of way. Eloise is a sweet girl that has her battles which makes the book interesting. But of boy does this book give me so many little heart attacks. First Orla. Then Parker. Twist and turns. Haha. The writer style of writing is something that I actually loveeee! I wouldn't mind reading more of her stories

Noelle should write a how-to book called How to Write a Cliche Story Without Being Cliche because that's how I'd describe both this book and it's sequel. I didn't like some of the themes in Cherry Knots (it dealt with abortion), but the characters felt human and their reactions felt real. The abortion situation was treated realistically, and I can appreciate that. Oh, and it had a really interesting setup - a prologue from a character that hardly had any lines. Kind of confusing at first, but then it all clicked. All in all, really well written.

Story of Two teenagers who are hurt, lost, broken and alone. The storyline is quite adorable. But never expect she had baby in her past. That's the major twist of the story. Good book to learn how to kiss or what to do in one's first kiss Hahaha. Yeah! This book is full of kissing lessons moreover the professor for kissing is the girl herself and her student is her boy! Another cute short story!

Ah. another cliche. As much as I consider myself as having grown up too fast, I still think that I am such a teenager, although I feel so much older. This story just feeds my inner teenager self, putting cliche in its place. I really do like this story, its hilarious, stupid, and plain adorable. Knock yourself out guys, this ones not too bad.

I can't believe this book was actually only 29 pages. It felt much longer than that. It was so amazing. The climax left me breathless, I really wasn't expecting it. Fantastic short story. I definitely recommend this!
