Shades of Red
Breathless Men and Scarlet Furs
Lord Artur wouldn’t be the first man Leo has left breathless . . .
Leo, an assassin with a supernatural secret, has spent years perfecting his fatal art and expects his latest job to be as easy as all the others. Yet when he sneaks into the manor of the reclusive Lord Artur, he finds that Artur is well prepared for him. A brilliant mind who prefers his forest to his subjects, Artur ensnares Leo as a prisoner, as fascinated by Leo’s dark nature as Leo is by his keen wit and beauty. Neither of them can ignore the desire that only seems to grow with every moment they’re together, and the lines steadily blur between captor and captive. Soon others seeking the price on Artur’s head come calling, and Leo must choose whether to escape back into his solitary life in the shadows, or risk an uncertain future with Artur.
Breathless Men and Scarlet Furs is a steamy medieval romance with a vampiric twist, featuring forced-proximity and an HEA.

A freebie win!
This was short and cute and definitely has me interested in The Sweetest Shade of Red. The writing was really good (no typos, can you believe it?!) and the story was well paced - easy 5 stars.

**********Contains Spoilers**********
This was a very quick & enjoyable paranormal read that I thought was a good addition to the Shades of Red Series. What a meet-cute. All I can say is that Lord Artur is brilliant with his plan to protect himself from would be assassins his brother sends. His plan even works on Leo but I’m guessing to a lesser extent since he isn’t human, he’s a vampire. I liked the banter between Artur & Leo and I know that it didn’t really end how Artur wanted but I think he’s going to have an amazing adventure with Leo by his side. Even though this just an okay read for me I’ll still check out more from this series as it continues, as well as books by Myna Arrow in the future. I’d recommend this novella, series and author to others.
