5/5⭐ 4/5🌶️

I did rate all 3 books, however this review is for the trilogy as a whole 🩷

This Trilogy was excitement, heartbreak and frustration all wrapped up into one big green Orc shaped package.
The story follows Miranda, a women ripped from modern day earth during war and a nuclear apocalypse, and Govek, an Orc who was cast out from his tribe as a child for being (as his father put it) 'too dangerous'.
Miranda is traumatized. Her memory is fractured and she is scared. But she is also sarcastic, stubborn and strong willed. Govek on the other hand is grumpy and beaten down by life. He is a hard candy shell with a marshmallow center. He blames everything on himself and never seems to be able to stick up for himself. He is resourceful and strong.
I think Govek and Miranda make the perfect pair. They perfectly make up for where the other is lacking and hold one another up when they need it the most.
I SO much appreciated how real both of them felt throughout these books. How they reacted to their own emotional and mental traumas as well as one anothers. When they had disagreements, sure there was some over reacting (because don't we all at times) but they came back together quickly and kept it pushing and I loved that for them. No silly miscommunication trope that lasted forever and makes you shake your head. The main conflict of these books was also compelling and I found myself more times than not yelling at the books or cheering when something good happened. I was 100% invested in what happened.
I absolutely loved these books. My only suggestion is to make sure you check trigger warnings before you read this series. There is a lot of panic attacks and PTSD and I know that can be triggering for some people. But if that doesn't bother you, I 1000% recommend.

Me every time I learned more about what people did to Govek:

description

----------------------—

Story rating: 4.5⭐️ | Romance lvl: 4.5⭐️
Spice lvl: 3.0 🌶️  | Smut frequency: 3.0⏳

----------------------—

Tropes:
💚 Orc x Human
☀️ Grumpy x Sunshine
💗 Hurt x Comfort
🏡 Found Family
👉 So much angst

TW: severe grief & PTSD, mention of parental abuse, abuse, gaslighting, MCs are emotionally very scarred.
----------------------—

~ STORY & PLOT 📝 ~

I don't think I EVER needed a HEA more badly than this one. And oh, how perfect it was. I wanted pure chaos and gory vengeance but what happened felt even sweeter... 🍯🤣

I loved the ending but I loved the way it gets there even more. The stories of both Miranda and Govek unfold perfectly and the way they complement each other; how it puts more emphasis on how perfect for each other they are is amazing.

And AGAIN I couldn't put the book down until I finished it. 😂💗

This is a series I 100% recommend for people who can handle the TW.

~ SPICE 🌶️ ~

If you read "The Orc Outcast's Miracle", you're in for:

💚 size difference
💚 primal play
💚 biting and use of claws
💚 she's a dirty talker

This is an arc review. Thanks to the author for the advanced ebook copy 🙏💖

Man I love reading and books like this really scratch that itch for a well rounded monster love story. A clear focus on our main characters but also lovable side characters with big personalities and their own problems.

I love when a series ending is so satisfying I don’t have any further questions. I got that with this trilogy for sure! This book kept in the same trend of making me feel angry and tense, and then so happy and giddy. Miranda’s story line was so heartbreaking and her staying so strong through was very inspiring.

The issues that presented were so frustratingly accurate to what people really go through. PTSD and family being beyond difficult. The antagonist’s were HORRIBLE people! I had previously been curious about what character development we would have, and some of them may have been redeemable, but I’ve never wished I could cause harm to a fictional character so badly before!

But the good times were so very good. Beautiful even. I teared up so many times because Govek and Miranda seriously made me so happy. Govek’s desire to make Miranda happy no matter what it took made me unbearable smiley. I kept catching myself squealing and kicking my feet.

I’m more than content with how the book wrapped up. I think if I had a question it would be, does Viravia get her own book? Because I’d read the crap out of that!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

I’m having a lot of feelings right now, writing this review after just finishing the book. I absolutely LOVED this series. The storyline was very intriguing and kept me wondering, but it wasn’t so much that I was confused or stressed. I feel like that’s a problem that I encounter with other fantasy series. Obviously there were lots of really frustrating and emotional moments, but there was the perfect amount of cuteness, banter, and spice to balance it all out. The character development was perfect. It really showed the whole process of going through something traumatic, realizing the trauma, and healing from it. I also loved how the story showed that healing isn’t done alone. I loved the found family aspect, the community growth and healing…. UGH.

Everything about this was so good and I feel like I haven’t even talked about the romance!!! I just loved seeing Miranda and Govek’s relationship progress along with their healing. They’re so cute and some of the stuff they say together has me giggling. I just love it so much.

Before I forget to add this, I was having a lot of fun with the little courtroom procedural vibes we got with the judgement scenes. I loved that, it was so fun even though it’s so frustrating that they even HAD to be in that situation.

ANDDDDD I had my guesses to where the story would go but I feel like I was caught off guard at every turn! It’s so fun to be surprised by a book. Everything we found out throughout the journey was NOT what I expected!!! So good. I want everyone to read this series 🥹🥹🥹🥹 I’m sad that it’s over

Aurora, thank you so much for the ARCs. I’m sure I said this in my review of the first book, but it was my first ARC! I never would have guessed that my first ever ARC would lead me down such an amazing path!

I received this book for free as an ARC and I am leaving this review honestly and voluntarily

I tell you the stress I felt reading the first half of this story. I had to break it into little chunks, I was so worried about how everything was going to work out. I was so angry for Govek. I still am, he was so badly run down by everything that happened to him. The story could have gone in several directions and I had no idea how much Winters wanted to torture us further after all that had happened in the previous two books.

Ooh and when we got there it was gooooood. That closure we've been looking for for Govek since book one? We get it and it is so well deserved. I was so happy! There were a couple of niggles remaining, but nothing that can't get cleared up in later books - and I'm delighted there will be more books in this series. The setup for future books is so good - the war still looms, new orcs are coming, and questions still remain around Goveks's mother that makes me think there's lots more to explore.

I found the resolution to Miranda's story quite satisfying. I wasn't sure how the darkness and trauma was going to be resolved. We get the revelation of what actually happened to her, and it works - although (and I'm trying not to give any spoilers here) I do wish there had been a bit more of a lead up to it showing how it was possible.

A great ending to a really enjoyable series!

I read an advance copy of this book, my thoughts are very much my own.

***

This book delivers a stellar conclusion to the trilogy and we have some major reveals in this book that shook both Faeda and my heart. It’s packed to the brim with twists and turns but it never feels too much or too fast. I love how both Govek and Miranda keep putting each other first, even when the odds are stacked against them.

I loved how we learned more about the clan and how it operates and while it might look idyllic from the top, there still might be some rot inside. Or the other way around, with things looking grim and unforgiving and being something totally different. That duality was done really well in my opinion and I loved seeing all the cracks form and break for characters and seeing the truth with Govek and Miranda.

I also have to applaud how the author dealt with grief and loss in this book. It was done so so so well! Those scenes especially gripped my heart and I wanted to dole out hugs by the dozen. Also the emptiness that comes with a hollow victory, wow, that was some amazing work there.

I really liked the ending and how there are multiple threads to explore in Faeda in future books and I’m excited for them.

A finale full of emotions and many unanswered questions.

🔸️This part is simultaneously heart wrenching and heart warming.
On the one hand, the heaviness of twisted manipulations and torment is palpable and almost too painful to read. 💔💔💔
On the other side, Govek and Miranda are in total support and protection mode. They learn in a hard way, how to bring each other comfort and acceptance. I loved how Miranda is fighting for Govek's justice.

🔸️This part has less action and adventure factor (comparing to previous parts). Much of the storyline concentrates around trauma and healing process.
There are good plot twist included, however many threads and points concerning wider universe are left unresolved.

🔸️Spice includes juicy, raw and very well executed primal chase scene. 🔥

🔸️Well written and smooth to read.
The story of Govek and Miranda reaches it's conclusion, but the tale of Faeda's orc will continue with another pair of MCs.
I hope that we will get many glimpses of Govek and Miranda life. I really liked them. 😁

Part of the Mates of Faeda series each can be read as a standalone with a monster and the one who captures his undivided attention. Sometimes you discover the ones you love the most are the very ones that are against you and can’t see what is right in front of them nor are they willing to accept difference. Govek is an orc to messed with he is fierce yet very misunderstood by most of his own kind an outcast extremely upset by the abduction of his human mate he grew up learning about the importance of a mate his is human but isn’t accepted she was abducted but their bond is unbreakable so going against his clan to rescue her and discovers the betrayal of his own father. Miranda may be human, but she knows her heart belongs to her orc despite his family hating her she stands against the false accusations, and the attempts on her life to reveal the deep corruption within his clan. But they have decided to face the trial together will their enemies get the best of them, will his clan come around, will she find out what happened to her, her family, will they discover the truth, discovering the source behind the corruption, and will it lead them to their happiness?

Govek (H), a fierce and misunderstood orc outcast, is torn apart by the mysterious abduction of his human mate, Miranda (h). Driven by an unbreakable bond, he defies his clan to rescue her, uncovering a web of deceit that points to his own father, Chief Ergoth. Miranda stands firm against false accusations and attempts on her life, revealing the deep corruption within the clan. Together, Govek and Miranda face brutal trials, confront manipulative enemies, and deal with the turmoil of clan politics. Their love, connection, and determination lead them to expose Ergoth’s treachery, ultimately rewriting the clan’s history and ensuring a future free from his influence. As they navigate the fight against Ergoth, Govek and Miranda’s bond grows even stronger. Miranda is determined to finally uncover her own past, revealing an eye opening surprise about what happened to her and those she loved. Lovely conclusion to Govek and Miranda's story as they move from outcasts to heroes, exploring resilience, love, connection, truth, and fighting against corruption.

With the trilogy I was drawn to the unusual setting for an orc story (post apocalyptic AND mists of time fantasy realm). I think that all three novels in the trilogy, and especially this one, emphasized how effectively the author world builds. The community (and even larger territory) politics and maneuvering (betrayals) are believable and engaging. The book grapples with big ethical themes around the exercise of unlimited powere.

Where I found myself struggling was the pacing. I think spreading this story out over three books was perhaps too much. At points, it felt like it dragged because so much time was spent on the internal politics. The result is that the pacing was uneven across the three novels as well as the beginning of this one, the third.

The relationship between the MMC and FMC grow believably despite the "instalove" premise, and it's very satisfying. The story got its"HEA" but wasn't without pain. While The Orc Outcast 's Miracle is described as a romance, I would probably characterize it more as a fantasy with romantic elements.

*releases a slow breath* Wow.
This was the conclusion to an epic emotional journey for both our MCs, and it was *chefs kiss* perfection.
Both our MCs go through a lot of personal growth across the 3 books, and it is incredibly heartwarming to see them work through it together and get their HEA.
While this is a plot based book, there are still some SPICY scenes to keep our smut lovers happy - Goveks special jaw hinge definitely puts a new spin on being eaten out (IYKYK).

I can't say too much without giving away spoilers, so what I will say is that the overall series is absolutely incredible! If you love a great plot with romance and some spice, check these out!

ALSO... there's some good news!
There are MORE books to come!
While Govek and Miranda's story is wrapped up in this trilogy, the future books will feature other characters in the Faeda world, and I can't wait to read them!!!

I received an advance review copy for free thanks to the author and BookSirens, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. All opinions are my own!

The third and final installment in the story of Miranda and Govek, and at first I thought too many questions were being left unanswered. At the end of the book, though, the author announces that the series will continue (following a side character I personally found very interesting) which means room for those questions to be answered later. I do think these three books read best together, and would recommend them as such, and I am very excited for the next installment!

For sensitive readers, this is a "fated mates" type book (some questions of consent inherently implied, though these are addressed by the author) with graphic sexuality, violence, bullying, childhood neglect and abuse, death, death of children, death of loved ones, torture, and memory loss.

ARC review:

Well, I went through this book in two days, because i needed answers!!

It continues from where it left of in book two, and we follow on as Govek have to go through a trial(judgement), and all i can think is: give my poor orc a break! By this point i am to invested in whats going to happen.

Its a bit much what the MC gave to go through, to the point where it is a bit repetitive. And thou i love the work Miranda puts in to make sure Govek know he is loved it can get a bit boring and i would skim through.

The ending is lucky very satisfying, and the author does not complicate it more than necessary. Loved this series and cant wait to read more about the side characters in their own books.

Wow this was an incredible last book in the trilogy of grovel and Miranda. Thrilling, captivating, plot twists, betrayal, suspense, friendship, understanding, support, undeniable loyalty and love with so much more. A testament to the spirit of man and orc and the two worlds the fades brought together. The everyday and the mystical.

I loved it and the ending was perfect.

Grovel was such a richly developed, complex character with just the right balance of strength and vulnerability. Miranda was strong feisty undetected and determined just the right champion to stand strong for grovel within his clan..

A wonderful three books I highly recommend if u love romance outside the traditional box.

"The Fades did me the most incredible service when they brought you to me.”

I've loved this series from the beginning and a little sad that this is the last one, but this couple deserves their hard won happily ever after! Great world building and wonderful characters. This story wasted no time and began in danger and action and I was immediately hooked. The injustice enraged me. ENRAGED! I could understand how Govek felt at first. But when he was calm to accept judgement, I was angry. I can appreciate a story that effects me enough to make me really angry (or sad, etc). I liked a number of the supporting characters. The story was exciting. How would it turn out?? 5 stars

I am so curious about Karthoc and Viravia, and looking forward to Brovdir and Trinia's story.

The Orc Outcast's Miracle is the conclusion of Govek and Miranda's story and it was so good! Govek and Miranda are wonderful characters. They deal with the terrors of their pasts together and their love for each other grows. The closure of their story is very satisfaying. Govek is so sweet, possessive and protective. Miranda is courageous and is determined to deal with her past and her purpose on Faeda. The story is captivating and engaging, very romantic and a page turner. The world building is excellent, and I very much liked some of the other members of the clan, like Iytier and Savili, Karthoc, Viravia and Brovdir and I look forward to reading their stories.

Wow, what an ending to such a beautiful series! I know we'll be getting more of this world but what is the point if it wont be revolving around Govek and Miranda???? I laughed, I cried, I felt far too many emotions than an orc romance should be giving me!!! The plot twists just kept coming and it had me inhaling words until there werent anymore for me to consume.

This last book does a fantastic job at wrapping things up and literally answering EVERY question the reader has since the beginning - I loved this so much because sometimes not every question gets answered and not every plot hole ends up filled, but not this time! The author does a wonderful job at building the side characters too, keeping you engaged and wanting to see much more of them! Which I know we will.

This series was very well thought out and executed, I loved each second of each more than the last, even if it gave me so much anxiety I had to set it down to breathe for a moment, LOL. I know I'll be thinking of these two for a lonnggg time.

I enjoyed Aurora Winters’ final book of the trilogy. The world she built was spectacular. The characters were well developed. The story was so detailed! Miranda is a human woman who can’t remember all the details of how she came to this new world. Hovel is the male orc who found her and has protected her since her arrival. The seer finally leads her through the gaps in her memory, and she is finally free to accept her new life mated to the one who loves her. Amazing!.

The conclusion…
Miranda and Govek are finding their way in a village that isn’t what it seems. With the return of the villagers that have been away we find out some confusion has been made. There are many questions that the chief needs to answer for. There are so many plots finding there way exposed. These two just hold onto each other and pray for their lives to settle. The drama is so horrible that I don’t even know how to react and process it.

This is book three of Faeda Mates series and just as good a read as the previous books. :D This is the continuation of Miranda and her Orca - Govek. They are working through the obstacles in their way to eventually reach a point they can get on with their life together.

This is a fantastic story. The world building is breathtaking. All of the characters are interesting. I loved getting to look further into the culture of the orcs. Watching Miranda and Govek grow and support each other was beautiful. I cried at points of the story. I wanted to slap some people at points as well. I absolutely love this story! I highly recommend this series!
