I’ve successfully brought my mother-in-law’s killer to justice and diffused the rising tensions between The Gloom and the Twilight Region.
But there’s no time to rest. I’m still the owner of two businesses, and my partner and I are looking to open up a third. Then there are all the renovations I want to make to mine and my wives’ cul-de-sac, but some nosy neighbors are trying to get in the way of that.
I also suspect that a piece of the enchanted armor I’m looking for is in a nearby national park, so between everything else, it looks like I’ll be taking a road trip.
I haven't had a book of Logan's not keep me on the edge of my seat! 😅 With more babies on the way and the Deeper Dark trying to reach out, you know the action is going to get higher stakes!
I'm already ready for the next one, I cannot wait to see where Logan takes this! The inclusion of IRL myths into the book just heightened the delight for me, I would love to see more of this! Then when the idea of time being manipulated (Celtic fae style) hit it tickled me.
The only point I could give constructive feedback on are the 🌶️ scenes- the ones in this book felt more rushed than the last few, though I'm sure writing these can get repetitive too.
Yet another great Backyard Dungeon Adventure! More twists and turns with each book and I don’t see an end anytime soon, which is a great thing! I love how the story flows between the surface and the gloom and how new characters and situations pop up!
You've made it through 15 other books so you're here for the long haul. More searching for magic armor, and more dealing with surface world stuff for Eddie's family. Was decent.
Usually, by now, I'd be getting bored with such a long series, but every time I finish one of these books, I find myself already impatient for the next to be released. The MC was getting a little sloppy in the last couple of books, almost like the character had reverted to the mindset of the first couple of books, but this one pulled him nicely back in line. No stupid plans that a toddler could come up with that everyone else thinks is just amazing. Just a solid MC doing his best without being a narcissistic tool. A take charge kind of guy, but recognizes that he needs help. Overall, one of the better MCs of the genre. I'm anxiously waiting for the next book.
Book 16 of this amazing series is as engaging and fun to read as a fantasy portal novel can be. Eddie Hill and his extended family of wives, friends and associates from Ohio to fantasy world are becoming my friends and family, too. And the bad guys aren't victims of a sad childhood, they're just bad guys. Demons, monsters etc.
Jacobs spins a delightful narrative that weaves the two worlds together in a plausible, albeit impossible, tale of high adventure. Along the way, he challenges readers to rethink the meaning of life and family in the modern world. Highly recommend.
I normally drop off a series by the time it hits double digits. This one is the definite exception. The mix of action in the Gloom and in Westhurst make this one of my favorites. Between demon lords and over-zealous city council members, I'm not sure which is more evil. At least the demon lords have the excuse of it being their nature instead of just being self-righteous jerks.
I've enjoyed every step (book) of the way --------
I've enjoyed every step (book) of the way on this journey. I'm glad there is more to come, since I'm just not ready to finish yet. As he has built his family and his "empire" the protagonist has placed himself into a solid place in our lives. Keep it up Logan! Thank you! B
I am old as was said of Father William. I have enjoyed the last 16 books and am not very patiently awaiting the next. Please release the next asap. Thanks for writing such engaging stories!
The characters are wonderful to spend time with and the author does such an excellent job that the reader feels the joy of being part of the family!!! Excellent writing and I highly anticipate the arrival of Book 17!
The Backyard Dungeon series never misses. I have not read one yet that I didn't enjoy. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an adventure.
Extremely good book and very good read read. The only mistake our hero made was saying Ohio is the center for Bigfoot, or also called Sasquatch. That would be the Pacific Northwest.
This is an excellent series with plenty of action, adventure, and spice. It is fast paced, moving the story along, between the issues on the surface and in the gloom it will keep you turning pages.
I'm very much enjoying this series. If you want to enjoy it like I have, start with book one. A lot of characters' developments, new scenes, and exciting adventures.
This is the last book in this series. But WOW what a ending in the series to read it was just wondering if there's any way the author is going to want to get back to what happens to the kids story if you're not read it yet.
This series gets better with every book. I haven't started on the sister series yet but am staring to think that I should with every paragraph that I read.
Between problems on the surface and problems below, this is another good story in this series. It also leaves lots more room for more books in the future.
A very good book in the series with plenty of action, adventure, drama, suspense, surprises, politics, corruption, violence, and romance. Eager for next book.
Great book. There were quite a bit of things that happened in this story. I won't say anything to give it away, but you have to read this book. You won't be disappointed.
