This book comprises three short stories on the adventures of Jack, a 15 month old Jack Russell puppy who lives in Aberdeen, Scotland, with his Mummy and Daddy. After finding him on the road and adopting him, his parents give him a life that most dogs could only imagine, riding with Mummy on her scooter and playing cricket with Daddy.

In Story 1, Jack spies on Mummy as she shops in a mall. In doing so, he foils the efforts of a robber who tried to steal Mummy’s purse. His efforts result in an invitation to join the police force as a special agent.

In Story 2, Jack goes undercover to solve a case of looting in the neighbourhood.

In story 3 Jack finds a great friend in Scoobie, and the two friends spend quality time playing together.

Jack is a cute Russell puppy who lives with his human parents in Aberdeen, Scotland. This book is a collection of three very short stories, suitable for children in the five to eight age group. Jack thinks and acts like a human; his parents talk and act as if Jack is human. In these three adventures, Jack succeeds in foiling a robbery, solves a detective mystery, and resolves his loneliness problem by finding a new friend in a most unlikely way.

The kindle book has a few editing and formatting issues. Photos are cute; they will appeal to young readers. Recommended for dog lovers and children who are learning to read early chapter books. Teachers could adapt the text to be used in read aloud classroom sessions.

This is a cute kids book. I enjoyed the pictures throughout. I would probably skip this one unless you're reading it with a child though.

Illustrated colorful children's book about Jack, a Jack Russel dog and he's left in charge of the house. To guard it while Mummy goes to the store to get a few things.
He is very bored and starts checking out some things to occupy his time. He ends up in mischief, nothing good can happen...
Other stories of Jack and his adventures are good stories as well. One is how he saves the day by following clues til the mystery is solved.

I was thoroughly dissappointed in this book. It was labeled a kids book, but it's hard to gauge for which age group this was intended for, since some of the words were too long & difficult for little kids, and the story too simplistic for those with enough grasp of the language. Also, the plotline is too erratic.
Jack's pictures are cute as illustrations, but his behaviour in the stories was rather inconsistent, sometimes more antropomorphic than other moments.

it was very entertaining to me. when I read the book I found it amusing and inspiring. I think adults would enjoy reading this book to their children or even themselves.

What a dog!

I loved the photos of Jack. These stories are definitely fodder for early readers and pleasant for reading aloud. Bring on more pictures of Jack. Bring on more stories. There's a great big world for him to explore.

I Loved the series of three short stories.
Stories of dogs always attracts me, so i downloaded this one too.
Stories were too cute & moreover an extra star is given for Jack, which is a character of my story as well and has same level of intelligence as this one.
