Treasured by the Alien #12

Hope for the Alien Warrior

Rate this book
A cynical alien, an optimistic human, an impossible attraction…

Felicity’s life is safe, predictable - and boring. Until a simple celebration turns into an alien kidnapping, a desperate escape attempt, and an encounter with the most dangerous, unpredictable - and exciting male she’s ever met.

Luxor gave up on his dying race the day they gave up on him. Since then he’s lived by his own rules. Until a curvy little female waltzes into his life looking for a hero. He knows he’s not hero material but for her maybe, just maybe, he can play the part.

Each book in the Treasured by the Alien series can be read as a standalone romance. This sweet and steamy HEA is intended for adults only.

Felicity wakes up in her escape pod disoriented and then yanked out by human slaving space scum. She meets another human woman with two kids one hers another orphaned. The orphaned girl bonds to her and the large alien in the cage next door is their only hope of surviving. Luxor believes he is unworthy of good things and a bad man but he cannot deny the draw he feels towards Felicity and the little girl. As they all struggle to survive and escape the evil in the universe Felicity and Luxor are developing feelings and a bond between them to make a sweet family unit. Love this alien grumpy sunshine love story that transcends fears and doubts to give them the life of their dreams. It's time for another series, but this time by Honey Phillips. Treasured by the Alien are a series of books that follow the same formula. An older woman is taken from Earth and is accompanied by a child, not always their own, and are subsequently saved by a lizard like alien called a Cire and then they fall in love and form a found family unit.

This book is about Felicity and Luxor. I liked that we got to go back and see what happened to Felicity after she and Lauren were separated in book 11. It turns out I'm a sucker for an interconnected story.

The Other Half I Forgot About

Not bad over all. Not bad at all.

I was happy to see the other side of the last story since it was so long ago for me. It was nice having my memory jogged a little.

My issues can be considered nitpicking of the genre. I know and clearly admit that. But there weren’t many and I knew what I was reading.

So, first off I don’t remember this race, the Ruijin, but they seem new to me, so I also don’t know about them picking off the Vedeckians. I know that there is this kinda rebellion of a group of individuals that are working against and sabotaging the Vedeckians’ trading in beings. One of them being their own who matched up with a human girl of his own.

I am right about that right?

So much so that when I saw they also had a Cire in a cell as well, I was completely convinced myself that he was undercover. Especially if the Ruiiin were now attacking the Vedeckians and picking up humans along with other beings.

So I was slightly surprised when I learned how he ended up there. It was such a chance meeting that I don’t like it. Yes, most of the other stories have the couples meeting in a more natural manner that I should let this one go, and I do, mostly. It just feels too destined for my liking when I think about it. So I try not to. But I also recognize that most humans met other humans by chance so it’s not that far fetched.

I like the bra scene. I knew it was going to happen, but I still liked how it written.

In fact I’m thinking that I’m pretty good with the whole story and is compliant free. I was surprised when I realized that I had forgotten about those people living on the station from the last book.

My nitpicking is about the little girl. Nina. Do I have any thing against her being here? Nope. Not at all. I don’t even have a problem with how fast she bonded with them. It’s just that all the tear jerking moments over her speaking and mostly calling them Mama and Dada feels wrong.

Not that she shouldn’t be calling them that, but how does she know to do it? Transferring the title of Mama ok, but I question Dada. Granted, we don’t know if she had a father figure before and she transferred the title to him as well, but she went from not speaking to calling him Dada without prompting. That is how or why kids call their parents mama and papa. Or the equivalent is in their language. From promoting. “Say Dada. Da-da. Da-da.” None of that happened and I don’t think anyone even suggested that he was her Dada?

Did you hear anyone promoting her to say anything? I didn’t.

I know it’s nitpicking, and the only reason it bugs me is because they centered these “crush my heart” moments around her saying those words.

So clearly, if this is what I’m complaining about this must be a great story. :D I did particularly like their stop off at the moon. More so because it didn’t cause the temporary wedge that I was expecting it to be, and before we had to go to the station I was hoping to see the welcome they would receive when they came back.

Almost forgot, there is a small free for download novella of a Christmas story that happens after they find their home but before the of end of this story.

It was cute, and it’s playing on human emotions for human traditions, but it did occur to me that I would have liked a bit more world building. Keep the human stuff, if you must, but I would have liked at least the mixing in of a possible Cire equivalent. Or at just mention that they didn’t have one to make it appear that the author did care to think about them at all.

Hope for the Alien Warrior de Honey Phillips Serie Treasured by the Alien libro 12

Argumento:

NO LIE, I really like how these sweet, honorable, resigned alien males find their special someone and just BLOOM. This time around we have Felicity and Luxor. Felicity is the 2nd of the human female duo who escaped their original captors. While Lauren (the very pregnant 1st human) found her special someone pretty quickly, she never stopped searching for Felicity. As it turns out, Felicity had been captured by another group and found yet another young human woman and two children. She also ended up in a cage beside a big, brooding Cire male who ultimately helped them all escape.

Before meeting Felicity, Luxor is resigned to a solitary existence. He almost doesn't know what to do with the feelings Felicity kindles in him. Having her on his ship has him thinking things he knows he shouldn't (because Cire males and human females don't work. Right?!?) and having a little one running around just makes things even more confusing. Because he likes them. A lot. And they're starting to feel like family to him.

A few run-ins with some unsavory individuals, a kiddo who knows good people when she meets them, a derelict space station hiding good people (who might need a little medical help), a male who stopped looking toward the future until one determined human crossed his path, and a lady who sees a whole lot of future with the male (and kiddo) she's claimed as her own. *thumbs up*

Hope for the Alien Warrior is a sweet and heartwarming story that may begin with tragedy but soon becomes a tale of family, love and belonging.
MFC Felicity has been abducted from Earth alongside her best friend Lauren who was eight months pregnant.
When their captors the alien Vedeckians ship is attacked Felicity and Lauren manage to get into escape pods but are separated.
Upon awakening Felicity finds herself now prisoner of the Ruigins who throw her in a cage with another human woman and two children, Carla and her son Bobby and little Nina who has lost her mother.
Across from their cage is a Cire male prisoner, MMC Luxor who will soon play an important role in their escape.
This story was such a delightfully good read as this author’s writing really captures a readers heart and gets it fluttering around with the delicacy of a butterfly’s wings.
From the now orphan child, to the warrior with a kind soul to the tender hearted doctor who always puts others first I was immersed.
Though their journey will be plagued by dangers in a hostile galaxy and Felicity still worries over the fate of her missing friend there is always faith on the readers part that all will end well for them all.
I loved this story as will any reader who has followed this captivating series!.

I am crazy about this series, and I’ve stated before that I never thought I would be really crazy about aliens and dating humans. But this series has really drawn me in. Felicity and her good friend were captured by the good aliens looking to make some money off of their sale. Then it went from bad to worse and now they’re in a different ship with different bad aliens. The main difference is Luxor. Felicity cannot understand her draw to him, I mean he is an alien, but he is very handsome. He just has that something special about him. Felicity‘s friend Lauren has disappeared. She was in a different escape pod from the first ship. Felicity needs to find her in the meantime she is now with another young girl and her son, and a little girl named Nina. Nina has now been drawn to Felicity.. With each other‘s help, Luxor and Felicity managed to escape with everybody in tow. Their story is amazing, and how Luxor never thought he was worth anything and now he has a perfect mate and a young daughter named Nina. This might actually be one of my favorite stories. It’s so much more in depth than I have said in the review because I did not want to give too much away, but it is an excellent book. Happy reading.

This series never disappoints🌟💖🔥

Treasured by the Alien is on of those series you read when you want to smile, have just a bit of angst and maybe a touch of danger and a whole lot of passion and love. Its a feel good alien romance that will make you come back for more every time. In this book we meet Felicity and Luxor. Felicity is Laurens friend from the previous story who was separated from her when their escapes pods headed in different directions. Felicity is a doctor and she keeps her head in dangerous situations so when she wakes up and realizes her a situation has gone from and to worse she tried to figure out how to escape for A second time. Luxor is a Cire warrior who was betrayed by his own people, suffered the loss of his honor and is honestly afraid to trust . until he finds a human woman who makes him want to live again. He'll do everything in his power to save her and find her friends. What he doesn't realize is that he's found a true love one that will accept him and stand by him for all time. 100% give this book a shot its just a wonderful feel good book with great characters and a beautiful storyline. 🌟💖🔥🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟💖🔥🌟🔥💖🌟💖🌟💖🌟🌟💖🌟

This was another great addition to the Treasured by the Alien series and I was glad to get to read Felicity & Luxor's story after having briefly met Felicity in A Miracle for the Alien Warrior. Felicity & Luxor make a nice couple and Nina the little girl they adopt is so cute. This book had a lot of fun characters and an entertaining plot. It was also fun to get to see how Lauren & Krestar from the last book were doing. I look forward to reading more from this series in the future as well as many more books by Honey Phillips.

Honey brings us another sweet found family for a strong, yet emotionally wounded, Cire warrior. These books are delightfully heartfelt, and the Cire warriors are fierce protectors, deserving of love, and are giant cinnamon rolls. The female lead characters are all strong caregivers who are not afraid to stand up for themselves, any children they encounter, and to love the green aliens with inquisitive tails! Luxor, Felicity, and Nina fit into this world, and with each other, perfectly! Even though I know going into one of these books there will be a happily ever after, the journey to get there is always unique. The continuing world building is creative and adds color to the overarching universe in which these stories are set. I love the appearances by characters from previous books, too. When Honey announces an upcoming release in this series, I can’t one-click it fast enough! I hope she never runs out of ideas for more!!

This story is a kind of duet/part two to the previous book, but it's not necessary to read that one to enjoy this one! Phillips throws us right into the angst at the beginning of this book. Whew! Felicity is basically abducted twice. Luckily, she has some tricks up her sleeve, meets some new friends, and garners the interest of a fellow prisoner, Luxor, the Cire Warrior. We def have a grumpy/sunshine trope here. Luxor may be gruff and appear to be a criminal, but he’s a marshmallow on the inside for his girls! You will want to read this book because:

**Luxor's character makes a major transformation in the story
**Strong female FMC in Felicity. She is the consummate healer.
**Little Nina. Soooo cute! She melts my heart with the big guy.
**The spice is nice!
**Some serious dollops of suspense to keep you guessing.
**Sweet epilogue with a good wrap-up.

If you LOVE these Cire Warriors like I do then you won't want to miss this story!
4 stars, 3 spicy emojis!

"...kindness is a rare gift.”

Felicity is a doctor... not just a healer, but a person who sees people she can help, and genuinely wants to give aid. When an orphan gravitates to her side, and takes hold of her heart, a family begins to form, despite the unlikely environment in which they first meet.

Luxor tries to be realistic with himself about his past, but often the truth is more complex and nuanced than our emotions, and personal involvement allow us to recognize. Meeting a genuinely kind, caring, giving person, who embodies the ideals he was raised to believe in, even if they weren't always present encourages Luxor to hope for things he had given up on.

This done in one kindle unlimited book was a page turner. An engaging story with fun characters, and scene stealingly adorable kids, particularly Nina. Their victories as a family felt earned, genuinely joyous moments for reader and characters alike.

I loved this damaged Cire Warrior/ compassionate human story.
Felicity was looking for her friend Lauren. (We met her in her story "A Miracle for the Alien Warrior".). But she finds so much more. I love her compassion and her willing to help any who are hurt. She is a doctor and is dedicated to healing. Although that did get her into trouble.
Luxor is a damaged warrior. We learn about his past and why he feels he does not deserve Felicity or any kind of happiness.
I also liked Nina. She is a light in the darkness.
We also get introduced to Carla and Bobby and Zythrak.
This is a standalone story. Steamy romance with a wonderful HEA. Well written. I loved the unexpected surprises and action throughout .

Hope for the Alien Warrior by Honey Phillips is an amazingly sweet and spicy book about finding home and family. Luxor, innocent yet convicted of a crime, feels less than and not worthy of a mate. All the women of his species died from a plague long ago. Now he is participates in illegal trading. Caught by slavers and bound for the arena, he helps two women and two children escape. Felicity, a doctor, is searching for her bestie Lauren after having escaped slavers once but winding up captured again. The fierce warrior wins her heart when he aides her group and sweetly cares for an orphaned little girl so sweetly, even making her a dress and matching doll. Luxor and Felicity are the perfect match. The adventures are many. The spice is great. The love story is sweet.

This spicy sci-fi adventure story was so sweet and fun. It is the 12th book in the series but the story stands alone and any information needed is skillfully integrated into the story. You don’t need to read these in order but the stories group connected characters together, and they surprisingly are not redundant.

This installment was a fun wild space adventure. I would say check your trigger warning if you have sensitivity as the fmcs characters are all taken from earth, and the stories feature children. As bleak as that sounds this book, like all of the books in the series, is spicy, sweet, and fun. Found family is a predominant theme in this book, as well as honor, loyalty, and friendship. And of course protective sexy green alien romance!

Spice 4/5
Plot 4.5/5
Writing 4.5/5
My enjoyment 5/5

'Hope was meaningless. Hope could not save his people from extinction. Hope couldn’t even save him from the lies of others.'

I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. The Cire are one of my favorite species and I'm always excited to read about a new protagonist. I loved both Felicity and Luxor. He was imprisoned as well as she was, along with another woman and two small children. He was jaded- having been taken advantage of and betrayed before. But Felicity refused to lose hope. And longed to find her missing pregnant friend. This story was both an adventure and a journey. It was easy to get hooked at the suspense and danger. I liked the way Luxor and Felicity's relationship developed and thy grew to both trust and respect each other- and fall in love. 5 stars.

What can I say.....

As with all of Honey's books, I am left speechless. I can see so many more Cire stories in this series that it is unbelievable.

Felicity was the perfect amount of fierce and feminine. Now, I was a little peeved that she let her natural instinct to help override her sense of safety. Luxor truly was a rebel warrior. I love that Hrebec was accepting and gave some credence to his wrongful conviction on Ciresea. I cannot leave Nina out...she may not remember her biological mother but she recognizes good loving people... her now parents.

I am so looking forward to more Cire-Human pairings.

S/N: Carla and Bobby were great support characters...can we get a little novella of them with Zythrac? Maybe a follow-up visit!?!?

Hope is uplifting!

Honey Phillips has continued to enrich the Treasured by the Alien series with the story of Luxor and Felicity. Felicity brings hope back into Luxor’s solitary life. He was betrayed, sent to prison, shunned by his family and others on his home world, fought in the fighting pits just to survive, became a trader, then was captured. While sitting, trapped in a cage, he sees Felicity placed a cage too. Felicity is a human doctor abducted from earth by slave traders with her best friend. Now separated from her best friend, she must find a way to escape and search for her best friend. She makes a deal with Luxor. If she can help him get out of his cage, he agrees to help her search for her best friend. And so the adventures begin. Enjoy. I sure did!

Felicity and Luxor. There is a very good reason Treasured By The Alien is my favorite Syfy romance series bar none! If you red Felicity and Luxor's story you will understand. Luxor's life has been anything but pleasant so he is a bit bitter and closed off when he meets Felicity. They are both being held in preparation for selling them. Before long they are both falling for each other. Add in the very precious Nina and a few big adventures and you have this wonderful book! I've said it many times Honey writes what want to read! Her characters are amazing! Her stories...chef kiss perfection! Her world building is impeccable with everything fitting perfectly.  Needless to say 5 stars!

I absolutely adore the Cire warriors. They all have some honor and loyalty just built in them. And their tails have a mind of their own. 😊 Luxor and Felicity were so wonderful together. She helped him to remember what it was like to be that honorable male, and he helped her balance out her need to heal and the need to take care of herself. They truly were a wonderful couple. Nina just was the added sprinkle of happiness as you got to see that adorable little girl heal as well. Such a beautiful story, some nice steam, and fantastic characters. What more could you ask for?

I did receive an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Felicity’s is abducted with her pregnant best friend and unfortunately separated from her. She is head strong and knows she must survive this ordeal. Thrown into a cell with another woman and two small children their fates are now in the hands of a Cire Warrior Luxor whom is also a captive. With the assistance of her underwire from her bra they are all able to escape back to his ship.
Over the course of their journey bonds will begin to form, relationships built and families will be formed.
Book ends in a HEA.

So Much Fun

Felicity and her very pregnant friend Lauren were innocently walking home when they were kidnapped by aliens. They manage to escape, but get separated. Poor Felicity is then captured by another race of aliens who definitely want to sell her into slavery. Luckily she finds herself with Carla, her son, and a little girl named Nina. And luckily for them all, they get rescued by an alien named Luxor who helps them all escape and promises to help her find Lauren. This is just the beginning! Much more ensues, and steaminess goes off the charts, increasing your reading pleasure!

Felicity and Luxor

Well okay- it was meh. I love found family stories and have loved this series because at the core that’s what these books are about, but man- this one was not my favorite. It’s definitely not the worse one in the series, but it’s definitely not the best either. Felicity was fine- kinda dull but fine. Luxor was much like Felicity dull but fine. The chemistry was not the strongest and Nina didn’t feel like a connecting character. I just didn’t feel like she was even relevant to anything. I was honestly more interested in Carla and Bobby. I wish we could have gotten to know them more. Bobby just had more personality than Nina. So yeah meh.

I just LOVE Luxor and Felicity's story. Felicity and her best friend are kidnapped by the evil Vedeckians then another evil alien called the Ruijin where she meets Nina who is a beautiful little girl who lost her mother and Carla with her son Bobby. Then she meets Luxor, a Cire warrior, while they are all caged by those evil Ruijins. Luxor, with Felicity's help, saves them all then they steal a ship to get away. This is when their adventure begins and love blooms between what becomes Felicity's new family with Nina and Luxor. This is a beautiful story with steamy romance, lovely characters and a journey that ends happily for all!

Another great read in the Treasured by the Alien series. Felicity, from
A Miracle for the Alien Warrior, gets her HEA with Luxor. Both are wonderful characters, she's centered and dedicated to helping and he has some serious baggage but they complement each other like two halves of a whole. As with the rest of the series, it's sweet and spicy with plenty of page turning action. This is one of my favorite series and I highly recommend it. Enjoy!.

This was a perfect read. It was another book for this series but it is still a new experience. Felicity is taken from earth then escapes to space where she is captured again but this time gets a family. She gets a toddler daughter and another female human friends and fellow mom. To top her growing cake she meets Luxor.
He is struggling with his youth and the choices he made. Taking on a small group of females and children is just what he needs. They will embark on a few missions that will bring them all closer together.
