I was born with a great destiny— to find the Index of Magic and follow in Merlin's footsteps as a warlock of Illdueh. But there are many in my world who wish to see me fail. My sisters and I are part of a prophecy that predicted the demise of the Avatrex— loyal followers of Morgana Faye Sun. Before we even knew of our heritage, my sisters were kidnapped. I escaped. Now I have but one choice: Find the Index and stop the Avatrex, or my sisters will die.

*Reviewers Note* I received this book to beta read before publication. This is an honest review.
This story follows Evalynn, a young warlock, who has learned that she is more special than just her gifts of magic. Uprooted from her home, and throne into a world she thought she would never see, Evalynn meets new friends and who I imagine to be a hottie named Dimitri. Obviously you can see where my ships lie. Together they all help her find her sisters and help her discover who she really is.
I doubted myself giving this book five stars because I was a beta reader; however, I really did love this story and got sucked into it immediately. I couldn't justify any reason for it to be any less than five for my personal experience.
The characters in Legends of Illdueh: Index of Magic were fully developed as well as the plot and scenery. I could connect with them on so many levels, especially Evalynn. I could feel her anxiousness towards finding her sisters and I loved the way she develops relationships with others. No spoilers but lets just say this isn't one of those love at first sight stories.
My biggest suggestion during my beta read was to have a few scenes played out more since they seemed to be slightly quick and abrupt. Since I haven't seen the final product, I am going to assume that those were expanded upon-- especially since I know how picky the author is. (I say picky in a good way)
This book is part of a series. While the book gives a clear and definite ending, it does also give you a taste of whats to come, without being a giant cliff hanger. Although, it is surprising.
I look forward to the next book in the series and I can't wait to see what else this author gives us!
