My name is Colton Calloway. You've heard part of my story, but it turns out there's more. My little girl, Kylie, is all grown up. Seventeen, beautiful, and talented, just like her mother. And just like Nell, my daughter seems to have fallen for a bad boy, one with a lot of darkness and a lot of secrets.

*  *  *

You thought you knew the whole story. You thought it was over. Happily ever after for everyone.

You were wrong.

My name is Oz Hyde, and you’ve never met me. I’m part of the story, too, but I’m an aside, a quick line or two you’d all but forgotten about. Well guess what? I’ve got my own story to tell.

Buckle up, ‘cause this is gonna be a hell of a bumpy ride.

5 Falling stars!!!

Jasinda Wilder is one of those authors that can make you laugh, make you cry, break your heart, make you melt and get you all hot and bothered- and thats just in a matter of a few chapters. That’s talent. Most of her stories have been win’s for me- her ‘Falling’ series is one of my favorites.

First there was Falling into You (Colt and Nell’s story) then, Falling into Us (Jason and Becca’s story) now there is Falling Under. The story of Colt and Nell’s only child Kylie, and Oz.

 photo fd2f7404-240f-4676-8d9f-09a47002d2eb_zps45f439a2.jpg

Oz Hyde is a bad boy. He has long hair, rides a motorcycle, smokes, plays the guitar and has tattoos. His past isn’t all that pretty. It’s also very mysterious. It’s even a mystery to him. His mother has moved him around frequently and he’s never really had a place to call home. For that reason, he’s never tried a relationship. He has no family except mom. His most current stop is Nashville TN, where he’s enrolled in a community college. Oz isn’t one to be mesmerized by a woman. Attracted, sure. But with this gorgeous girl he sees in on of his classes, it’s more than just attraction.

 photo 867d934b-69ab-4806-b54d-094f532c2156_zps303f4a66.jpg

Kylie Calloway is a high school senior taking college classes at the local community college. Kylie has a good life. Her parents, Nell and Colt are both still together, happy and love. Her best friend, Ben lives across the street from her. Her life is in the right direction. She’s working towards her goal of performing and trying to do well in school. Boys are just a distraction. Until she meets Oz. There is something about this bad boy that intrigues her. Makes her want to know more. Want to know him.

Oz knows he’s not good enough for a girl like Kylie, but he can’t manage to stay away from her.
She’s a good girl with a future. I’m a bad boy with none. Too bad I’m an idiot who never pays attention to warning signs.

Kylie doesn’t care about Oz’s past. She sees the real guy. The one underneath all the gritty exterior. She knows what she wants and it’s him.
“Oz, I’m not scared of you. I’m not afraid of your life. Of getting dirty. So quit trying to protect me and let me make my own choices.”

I really loved Oz and Kylie together. They were a great match. Kylie was a perfect mix of Nell and Colt, two characters I love. She was kind and understanding to Oz and his situation. There was a lot of mystery with Oz. I have to say- I was proud of myself. I caught on to the ‘twist’ much earlier than I normally do. But I think that’s only because I’ve recently re-read the first two ‘Falling’ books. Kylie and Oz were one of those couples that would never work on paper, but really are perfect for one another.

 photo fc847485-0e95-4169-9aa5-cd98c189f760_zps3cfec1ae.jpg

What’s so special about this story is it’s dual pov, but not from Oz and Kylie’s perspectives. You get the perspectives of Oz and Colt. That’s right... dual male pov! It was awesome! Especially listening to it in audio book. Jasinda always picks the best narrators. Of course Colt had a few lol lines... love that guy!
“My prerogative as your father is to break the face of anyone who fucks with you. And I will, whether you like it or not. So if our boy Oz prefers to have his face in one piece, he’ll treat you like the precious thing you are.”

Although there were some emotional moments, this book didn’t gut me like the first two. I may have teared up a time or two, but there was no sobbing so thats a good thing. I really want to talk about I am crazy about this series. Book 2 is still my all time favorite. I’m not sure if any future books can top Jason and Becca’s story for me. But this was still a fantastic 5 star read. Jasinda’s writing continues to amaze me. And the way that music is incorporated into her books puts that much more meaning and depth to the stories. There is a wonderful mix of emotions. This was a sweet, sexy, swoony, heart wrenching and an all around beautiful read.

“You saved me, you know. Life had me running. Had me by the throat, and I really was falling under, losing hope. And then I met you, and you gave me a reason to keep my head above water. You taught me to swim. You taught me to life. And instead of giving up, I fell in love. I fell under your spell, Kylie, and ever single day since, I’ve fallen further and further under for you.”

*sigh* The perfect end to one of my favourite series! I just love the Falling series soooo much!

5 STARS FOR KYLIE & OZ!

To read my review of Falling Into Us (Falling, #2) go to: http://smittensbookblog.wordpress.com...

It's no secret that I am a huge Jasinda Wilder fan. Even the lady herself knows that I bow at her feet and drop everything I'm doing when she releases a new book, and the Falling series was what really cemented Ms. Wilder on my favourite author short list.

As most of you know, this book was a secret. Jasinda hinted that she'd be releasing a new book at the beginning of the week and didn't tell readers what it would be until release day! So there was a tonne of excitement and speculation surrounding the mystery book. And when I found out that it was a conclusion to the Falling series, I was so excited! I loved Colt and Nell, and I loved Becca and Jason. Both of these stories wrecked me and then restored me in that magical way only the best writers can manage. Just the thought of these books is enough to bring a lump to my throat and tears to my eyes. So I was instantly intrigued when I knew we'd be getting more of either couple.

But Falling Under is totally different to book #1 & #2! At the end of Falling Into Us we learn that Colt and Nell have had a daughter called Kylie. This is the story of Kylie Calloway and Oz Hyde.
A story of a girl who takes a chance on a boy, and a boy who takes a chance on a girl. Two young people from totally different worlds, with completely different backgrounds, who choose to love one another regardless. A story of saviour, family, love and friendship.

"You and I? It may end badly. I may get hurt. But guess what? I don't care! I've never had my heart broken. Maybe I'm fine with rising it, because it's better than being afraid and going through life bored."

This book isn't nearly as emotional as the other two. Honestly, I don't think I've ever cried as much as I did with Falling Into You and Falling Into Us. I was a mess. And Falling Under isn't as tough, emotionally. But it isn't any less beautiful and I did still shed a few tears. I just wanted to climb into this book and stay there, shut out real life and shirk all of my responsibilities, but it didn't gut me like the other books did.

I thought that this was going to be a bit of a difficult premise for Jasinda to execute, as this book is set seventeen years after the end of the Falling Into Us, so it's actually set in the future... I wasn't sure how this was going to work, but once I got reading, I completely forgot all about that and it really didn't distract from the story or have any effect on my reading experience whatsoever. Just accept that Jasinda exercises a little poetic licence and you won't have a problem.

Kylie, Colt and Nell's baby girl, is all grown up. Kylie is great. I mean, she would be, wouldn't she... she's the daughter of Nell & Colt! She's a good girl but with an independent spirit and her own mind. And I love that her parents allow her to be her own person. She's nearly eighteen, coming up to graduation, grown into a beautiful, talented young woman and she's just finding out who she wants to be and what she wants from life. And that's when she meets Oz Hyde.

"That lifestyle? It's bad, Kylie. I don't want you anywhere near that. It's dark, and it's dangerous, and it can suck you under so fast. So fast."

So, we know who Kylie is... Who is Oz? Well, you will have to read this book to find out who Oz is, as that's part of the mystery that this book provides. But I can tell you that Oz is a sexy, cocky, guitar playing, pot smoking, long haired, tattooed, motorbike riding bad-boy from the wrong side of tracks. He has a messy past, he's done a stint in juvie, he's got self harm issues, he's got no prospects and no self-belief and he is the complete and total opposite of everything Nell and Colt have brought Kylie up to be.

"If I amount to anything it'll be as part of a band. That's it. I'll be playing dive bars and shitty clubs, and I'll get high in the alleys and do lines in the bathrooms, and eventually I'll OD and that'll be that." I glance ad her. "Is that the life you want?"

But we all remember young, troubled, rebel Colton, right? He might be a successful indie musician and producer now, with his big house, his beautiful wife and daughter, his fancy cars and bike and his perfect life... but once upon a time, he was right where Oz is. And he sees so much of himself in Oz. And I have no doubt you will love Oz just like you loved Colt!

Everybody knows girls like the bad boys, and I'm thoroughly bad.

Speaking of Colt. Colton Calloway as a Daddy... *melt* Oh my goodness. When I didn't think this man could get any more perfect, he does! He is a wonderful Daddy. Just perfect; caring, sweet, reasonable, protective, firm... Is there anything sexier than a gorgeous man who is a great Daddy, too? I think not.

"My prerogative as your father is to break the face of anyone who fucks with you. And I will, whether you like it or not. So if our boy Oz prefers to have his face in one piece, he'll treat you like the precious thing you are."

The really interesting thing about this book was that, even though it was Kylie and Oz's story, it was written from Colt and Oz's POV. I really enjoyed that. It brought Nell and Colt further into the story and it provided a different, mature, slightly removed perspective of these youngsters' love story. I loved reading about Nell and Colt trying to navigate the murky waters of parenting. It really added an extra dimension to this book.

"We can't protect her from life, Nell. You know that. She's going to get hurt someday. All we can do is love her, and be there when it happens."

As is always true with Jasinda Wilder books, the sex scenes are super hot! Virginal, innocent Kylie and experienced, bad-boy Oz just burn up both the sheets and the pages. You can always rely on Ms. Wilder for an extremely steamy book romp and this couple were so incredibly sensual and really very moving, as they explored one another and became closer and closer.

I can't write this review without mentioning Ben. Remember Benny? Becca and Jason's son? He features heavily in this book, too. I won't tell you too much, just that the one chapter from Ben's POV, near the end of the book broke my heart and had me in tears.

"I wish - I wish I'd at least kissed you. Just once."

I often worry, when I've really loved a book and find out that there is a sequel or two, that the following books won't live up to the first book(s). So often we find authors writing trilogies because it's the fashionable thing to do right now, or adding to a series that really didn't need adding to, just in the name of book sales. But I never worry about that with Jasinda. Every book she writes is a story that is just begging to be told. Every book is highly emotional, gripping and completely individual, whether it's part of a series, a stand alone or a companion novel. And Falling Under was no exception. I loved it and was engrossed in the world of these characters from the second I read the first word to the moment I reached the end.

"You light up the blackness that has been my life, and I don't know how to ever be the kind of man you need and deserve, but I want to try. For you, for me, and for us. For the possibility of us."

The end... It was everything I could have ever wanted it to be. Completely perfect and totes emosh! Urgh *sigh* just wait... it's adorable.

"You saved me, you know. Life had me running. Had me by the throat, and I really was falling under, losing hope. And then I met you, and you gave me a reason to keep my head above water. You taught me to swim. You taught me to life. And instead of giving up, I fell in love. I fell under your spell, Kylie, and ever single day since, I've fallen further and further under for you."

I can not recommend this series highly enough. It is stunning, unforgettable, intensely emotional and just absolutely superb. A firm favourite of mine!! And this was the perfect ending!

(P.S. At the end of this book, there is a teaser for Jasinda's new title, Alpha. I have three words; Roll on April!)

5 Falling in love Stars

I must begin by saying how much I adore this series. I loved the two previous books, Falling Into You Nell and Colt’s story and Falling Into Us Becca and Jason’s story, and this one did not disappoint. This is the story of Nell and Colt’s only child Kylie.

Kylie Calloway is all grown up, well for the most part, she 17 years old and taking college classes at the community college when she meets Oz Hyde. Kylie is immediately drawn to Oz, he is a bad boy with a motorcycle, but Kylie isn’t afraid of Oz. It’s like she can see the good in him before Oz can even see it in himself.

Oz has moved around every one to two years his whole life, raised my a single mother, they are always up and moving without warning. He loves his mom and appreciates the sacrifices she has made for him, but hates that she is keeping secrets about his father. When Oz meets Kylie he knows she is too good for him, too young, too innocent, but it seems Kylie is the only one who doesn’t know that yet.

Oz and Kylie strike up an unlikely friendship, over music. Kylie convinces Oz to play an open mic night with her and their relationship grows from there.

This story is told in Colt and Oz’s POV. I found this to be a very unique writing style and I actually loved it. Through Oz’s POV we get to see his struggles with his self worth, knowing who he is, and learning that he is good enough. Colt’s POV shows the struggle he has a father to Kylie, but also wanting to be a mentor and provide guidance to Oz.

I can’t brag on this series enough, it has everything you want in a story: short, sweet, steamy, and depth. I highly recommend this book and if you haven’t read the series I would suggest jumping in soon!

Third book in Falling series. I have love/hate relationship with this Falling series. To be perfectly honest I don't even know why I read them. Maybe it's because of Purple form Way Too Hot Books who surprised me with her high rating for the first novel, Falling Into You (you can read her review here).Or because I find out about amazing musicians like Dallas Green and heartbreaking songs like The Girl. Or I'm masochist and I like to torture myself.

So much expectations... I was really curious to see what did Jasinda Wilder cooked up in the Falling Under, mostly because it's the story about Colton and Nell's daughter and book summary isn't revealing almost anything. Epic fail in my judgement. It turned out to be more or less same as the first novel - music, good girl/bad boy, record deal and a lot of drama.

On the plus side... you find out about few great songs, but putting a music background in the almost every scene is over the top. Couple of swoonish moments.

What completely ruined it for me? Last third of the book - there is so much drama that I felt like I was watching Esmeralda or Suleiman the Magnificent.

Final word? If you usually aren't a fan of new adult romance novels, skip it. If you love soap operas, you'll like it.

4 (The FALLING SERIES Continues) Stars

Colton and Nell had a baby, Kylie, and now it’s her story! YAY!

Falling Under did not have the same impact to me as the first two in the series. I would say Falling Under still has the Jasinda tortured writing feel, but this time, less angsty.

I’m not a fan of angst, so I am kind of pondering why Falling Under didn’t hit me with a bam.

Kylie is your typical virgin Heroine, she loves music because of her parents and she needs a partner to play guitar for her. Oz is your typical, bad, biker, live in the slums boy. He doesn’t have a future and he just takes life one day at a time. He copes by smoking weed and doing whatever he wants. Oz also happens to know how to play guitar.

I am not a fan of the plot. I know! I love the virgin Heroine story line, but there was something lacking for me. I liked how innocent Kylie was, but I guess I wasn’t fond of her chasing after Oz. As much as I love the bad biker boy, I felt like Oz was a bit too typical. He smokes weed, has a single mother, is poor and doesn’t care about life and this is because of his daddy issues? I wanted something more.

I didn’t feel a strong connection between Kylie and Oz as well. I would say it was more insta-lust and then Oz telling himself how he wasn’t good enough for Kyle. I do like there wasn’t any frustrating and annoying parts. You know what I mean, I hate misunderstandings, but there was none of that.

There were short chapters of Colton’s POV and I LOVED THAT. I still love Colton and Nell, even if it’s 20 something years later. I think Colton was a bit relaxed in the story, but no one loves a brooding father right?

Falling Under is mostly about two people from two different worlds coming together with music. Kylie is sweet, country loving, young and happy. Oz is heavy metal, scars, chip-on-his-shoulder, and tough male. Once Kylie convinces Oz to help her, Kylie slowly helps Oz see something in himself and gives him confidence.

There is tension from Kylie’s best friend Ben, who I liked a lot. I think it’s because of Ben’s intensity towards Kylie. He was kind of irrational, but in a crazy alpha male kind of way. But that’s just me.

Falling Under wasn’t a home run, but it was still a nice treat from a beloved series.

MICHELLE'S REVIEW

So this was me on Wednesday when I received an email from the lovely Vilma on behalf of the lovely Jasinda.

Yup. I was so excited I had to resurrect my favorite gif of all time.

Ladies (and maybe gents)- meet Oz. If you loved Colton Calloway in Falling Into You, then you are already halfway in love with Oz. The same torture and pain we experienced with Colt, we see it here. But where Nell was equally as tortured as Colt, their daughter Kylie is relatively untouched from the harshness and pain that life so often brings us. But she is drawn to the hurting Oz like a moth to a flame.

There was a lot of speculation as to who this book would be about. Many Jasinda fans were thinking we would get more from the Ever Trilogy. But this girl right here was hoping that this would be about Colt, Nell, Becca and Jason. These four character and their two books are without a doubt, my favorite books that Jasinda has written. Just thinking about these books makes me want to drop everything and start reading them again and again until I memorize every word. I straight up ugly cry with these people.

And there was only a slight reprieve in this book. I was getting choked up at the end of Chapter 4. CHAPTER FOUR. The story barely started and I was already halfway to a mess. But I promise- compared to what we know she's capable of, Jasinda goes pretty easy on us. Sort of. I mean I teared up but there was no ugly cry, so that's good. Right?

While we get Colt's POV here (yay) it's really Oz and Kylie's story that is the focus. But I love how Colt's POV plays into the story. Seeing him be such a great dad is amazing. And his relationship with Kylie is perfect.

Also- Jasinda- you can go ahead and give me Ben's story now. Not going to lie- knowing that Kylie and Ben are named after men that their parents have lost- the emotions- oh the emotions. It's such a beautiful tribute to characters that we all love.

But as always, when reading a book by Jasinda, you need to expect the unexpected. There were three moments where my heart was in my throat. The first one was scary but it was early enough where I felt ok about how it would all turn out. Number two was not as easy to get through. There was definitely a moment of

But there is a major twist in this book. No spoilers- I promise. But when it happens- when all is revealed- I can't even form the words. It was exactly what needed to happen. Fans of Falling Into Us will probably lose their shit. And by lose their shit I mean:

But don't worry. It's not a bad thing. It's just an emotional thing.

You just have to read this book. It's so amazing and I think it was the perfect follow up to this series. Kylie is strong when Oz needs her to be. Oz becomes stronger both for himself and for Kylie. But most importantly, I think these two really just become better versions of themselves with each other. Even though in some ways it seems like they get together quickly, they really do form a friendship and I really appreciated that. And the sex- the chemistry- was perfect for these two. It was the right amount of hot and sweet.

The epilogue was really great but the postscript was EVERYTHING. I seriously don't think there could have been a better ending. It just brought the series together so well and I found myself-once again- getting so emotional.

I also have to mention the music. Amazing. Not all of it was my style but all the songs fit so well. And the original lyrics are so damn beautiful, you would have to be made of stone to not be moved by them! I thought that the way the music bound Oz and Kylie together added to how well it fit into the story.

Also, I know that Jasinda and Jack pour their heart into all of their books but Falling Into You was released a year ago (you can read the story on Jasinda's blog) and so this book has a really special place for them and I think for their biggest fans who have followed their remarkable story. I know that much of this is fiction but the Wilder's also pull from real life. I love that Nell and Colt in this story produce music under their own independent label. It seems like such a simple thing but I think it's just a little piece of the Wilder couple in this book. It's those touches that show just how much Jasinda pours of herself into her novels.

I really just need to stop rambling and let you read this book. Because it is amazing and it's the story you never knew you were dying to read. Jasinda has done it once again. I cannot wait for more from this crew.

Sidenote: There is a teaser for another new book from Jasinda at the end of the book and let me just say:

Poor Ms. Wilder....

description
The last handful I have read from this author have just been, I dunno, duds for me.

I didn't really get the point of this book. Let's revist Nell and Colt in the future, woo hoo! Uhhh but its about their kid. Honestly, probably would have preferred to just read about them and their adventures on the road. My fav part of the book was Colt's POV and thus why it got 3 stars. The book felt like deja vu, cause their kid Kylie's love interest was basically a hybrid of what Nell and Colt were growing up. Replace cutting with something else, tough life, fighting, and bad circumstances. Oz was the bad boy element that Colt was for Nell. Oh and they end up playing music together too, which was cool but again felt all too familiar. Yah and he fell in love with Kylie like on page 5. And she pretty much did with him too.

There was definitely hotness in this book but I was just a bit wigged out cause while she was real close to being 18, she wasn't. And Oz was 21 so the old hag in me was like, jail bait, hello???

The "twist" I felt was just odd and weird. Way to coincidental to actually be believable. Overall, I just did not connect with this book, the characters, the storyline.

5 Brilliantly Bright Stars

We all fell in love with Colton Calloway when we met him in Falling Into You. We fell a little deeper in love with him during the glimpses we got of him in Falling Into Us. Colton Calloway as a Dad, to a 17 year old, strong and capable daughter in Falling Under? I would get on my knees for the man if I knew he wasn't hopelessly in love with his beautiful wife. And he is, by the way, still after twenty years and a heart-breaking start to their journey Colt and Nell still hold a torch for each other - makes your heart swell to epic proportions. That's the special something about this author though, isn't it? Her ability to evoke such strong compassion and feeling for her beautifully troubled characters.

Jasinda Wilder surprised us all when she decided to give us a look into the life of Colt and Nell's seventeen year old daughter, Kylie. And I’m ever grateful that I was invited back into their lives. But, isn't Ms. Wilder tricky? Instead of us getting Kylie's story from her own POV, we get it from the alternating POV's of Colt and Kylie's love interest, Oz Hyde. BRILLIANT freaking writing choice, I tell you, brilliant. I loved every word, every feeling, every action, and every expression. We get Oz stripped bare and falling for the enchanting Kylie. And we get Colt, who’s been enchanted by his daughter for much longer. Jasinda Wilder knows how to build a story. She knows how to make you fall in love with her soulful, intrinsically beautiful characters. Ms. Wilder also knows how to stop your lungs from taking in oxygen because you're holding your breath, hoping with all hope that the conflict that arises will work itself out. Ms. Wilder erects walls in her characters and her plot then she completely obliterates them leaving us breathless. Her evocative prose consumes the reader to the point of devouring every single word. Colt and Nell have raised a beautiful soul in Kylie. She truly lightens what was once their dark. Kylie is an endearing, strong character. The scenes between Colt and Kylie tug on your heart, melting it. And Oz Hyde? My goodness, with Oz, Ms. Wilder beautifully does it again, it’s like reading about a young Colt all over but with a different set of circumstances. She injects so much instinctual soul and compassion into a bad boy you can’t be anything but totally captivated. And with Oz you will be captivated, just as you were by Colt. I, in no way, want to spoil anything about this story. So, instead of saying too much about the plot or the characters I'll just assure you, completely guarantee, if you loved the first two books then you'll love Falling Under. Thank you, Ms. Wilder, for Kylie and Oz but furthermore for making Colt an integral part of their love story.

A 9.5 out of 10 because I want more!
It's the anniversary of Falling Into You, and the Wilders have given us quite the gift in Falling Under! It's been seventeen years since Falling Into Us, when we last saw Colt and Nell, Becca and Jason. These two couples are living across the street from each other and their kids, Kylie and Ben, are best friends.
Then enters Oz. He's a 21-year-old misfit, who's moved around so often that the only belongings he and his mom have can all fit in the back of a pick-up. The moment he meets Kylie, he's drawn to this beauty who's made of magic and can get him to say and do things he's never done before. Kylie makes him think of opening up and letting someone in for once, after years of keeping others at an arm's length, since he's never in one place long enough to make a connection, let alone nurture one. Kylie is drawn to Oz because he's so different from the world she knows and he exposes her to the unclean side of human nature, which forces her to look at the world through a different filter. A filter that sees the seedier side, the poorer and more hopeless side, a filter that makes it glaringly obvious that she's lived a very sheltered life so far. But no matter how much Oz pushes back, Kylie won't give up on their connection.
The love that grows between the two main characters is healing. It is a kind of love that accepts all of the other person, the good and the bad. It's a kind of love that nourishes and lets you grow. It's the kind of love that puts all other loves to shame. It's the kind of love that anchors you, and keeps you afloat, as the world around you storms and rages, trying to pull you under. And since this a book by Jasinda Wilder, you should definitely expect plot twists and surprise revelations! Oh, and heartbreak! How could I forget the heartbreak!
This book features unrequited love, and highlights the price that one pays if they fail to take a chance. The misery that comes if we don't make the leap of faith, and put ourselves out there, regardless of how scary it all seems.
Overall, I loved this book, and loved these young characters who have all grown up since the last time we saw them! I also love, love, love that this book was written from the male perspective. Although at times, Kylie came off as callous, particularly when she interacted with Ben. But that's the interesting thing about how this story is written, you have to read between the lines and put yourself in Kylie's shoes to see where she's coming from, since you only see her how Oz and her dad sees her. Nevertheless, I loved being in Oz's head and experiencing his growth as he learns to accept love. And I LOVED Ben! I don't know how everyone else will react to him, but he took a piece of me by the end of the book, when I was bawling and aching for him (damn you, Jasinda!) And of course, I loved catching up with the characters that we fell in love with during FIY and FIU. Colt is even sexier, if that's possible! I loved seeing Nell as the confident woman that she's become. And I loved the glimpses of Becca and Jason, although they weren't nearly enough to satisfy me! Becca and Jason were always my favorite couple in the series, and I would love a story about Ben, since I suspect there's more going on there than they're telling (I'm looking at you, Jasinda!)
I inhaled this book, and I'm sure that I'll read it a million more times, as I have the other two. I am so grateful to Jasinda and Jack for taking that leap, and letting us all in to their world, although I'm sure it must have been terrifying to expose themselves to judgment and rejection. I think you two are the bee's knees, and you own a piece of me because your books are now permanent fixtures in my life. Keep them coming, and I'll keep buying! Happy Anniversary!

Totally unexpected story! I had no idea this book was even a possibility!

Anyone who has read both Falling Into You and Falling Into Us needs to pick up this book. This book takes place 20 years after and is about Colt as a father, his and Nell's daughter Kylie, and a young man named Oz. Also making an appearance is Jason, Becca, and their son, Ben.

From the beginning, I was quite intrigued by Oz. He was so different, and the way that he approached Kylie was pretty bold to say the least. I kept thinking, "what's he going to be up to next?" Cuz he likes this girl! And I want them to like each other A LOT!

Oz has some secrets, including what his birth name is. Some of the secrets in his life he doesn't even know the answer to as his mother, Kate, won't tell him. This part of the story line was frustrating and had me guessing the whole time. What could've been so bad?

The chemistry between Oz and Kylie was so intense at times, and so sweet and passionate at other times. She was intent on breaking his walls, while he wasn't so sure he deserved her.

Colt as a father was amazing.

He knew how to put himself in Oz's shoes and also knew he had to trust Kylie. And when he had his moment with Jason's and Becca's son, Ben, I may or may not have teared up a little bit.

So many feel-good moments in this book with very few heart-breaking moments. As with the other two books, music played a big role in the story line. The way that Jasinda writes about the music and how they perform, is so captivating and visual. Using words to be able to create a visual of music, kept me turning the pages, line after line. Jasinda has a knack for doing this that very few authors are able to accomplish, in my opinion. I look forward to more of her writing.

5 TWO-BEAUTIFUL-KINDS-OF-LOVE STARS!

description

This story was a total beauty and I loved everything about it. Falling Under really carried over that same endearing and touching essence that made me fall hard in love with this series since book one. It was emotional, sexy, inspiring, and had a beautiful and perfect twist that both surprised me and brought me happiness.♥

This is the third book in the Falling series and I personally think it's crucial to read each book in order to avoid spoilers and to really appreciate every story and how they're connected. In this installment, Jasinda takes us eighteen years forward after Falling Into You and Falling Into Us to tell the story of Kylie, Colton and Nell's only daughter from Falling Into You but the story is told from the POVs of her dad and Oz Hyde, the bad boy that totally steals Kylie's and my heart away...*sigh*

“I don’t have much to give, but what I do have, I want to give to you.”

Oz is the irresistible kind of bad boy; he has tattoos, drives a motorcycle, and lives in the wrong side of town. By that description you could say that he sounds tough and in some ways he is but there's so much more that meets the eye when it comes to him. He was raised by just his mom and never knew his dad and that particular fact has always affected him and made him resentful about life. Well, that's until him and his mom move to Nashville where he meets a blue-eyed beauty that not only takes his breath away but also takes his mind off his dark memories.

“You suck at hugs.”
I laugh. “I don’t get a lot of practice.”
“Well, now’s your chance. You’re supposed to hug me back. Let’s try again.” She lifts up again, slides her arms around my neck, and pulls at me... It's just a hug. I breathe and hold on to her.”

The way these two compliment each other is alluring. Kylie at 18, she's innocent, nurtured, strives for what she wants, and comes from a good home. Oz on the other hand, is pretty much the opposite. At 21 he's reckless, guarded, and doesn't think much of himself or his future so meeting someone like Kylie really challenges him to finally want more for himself because he really wants her and all her goodness in his life even though he feels he shouldn't.

“Kylie is so beautiful and so tender and sweet and kind and good, too good for me. And I should keep pushing her away, but fucking goddammit, I don’t want to, and I’m not sure I can.”

Then the way this young love unfolds blew me away. Oz's hesitation toward Kylie and their relationship was so charming and it showed such chivalry from him which I wasn't expecting but totally loved. Now Kylie's innocence goes from curious to fearless and it was so nice to see her grow up like that and in doing so she frees Oz from his past with her caring heart and her passion for music.

“You mean something to me, Oz. Everything about you means something to me. You make a difference to me.”

There is another kind of love beautifully portrayed in this book that totally melted my heart too and that was a father's kind of love. Colton's POV was amazing! He's such an alpha that seeing him struggle between wanting to protect his daughter from everything and knowing that he actually couldn't was captivating. I think this is the first book I read where I have a chance to truly feel the love of a parent towards a main character in the story and I really loved that. The way Colton handles things with Kylie and Oz was funny, endearing, and perfect just like his love for his dear daughter.

“We can’t protect her from life, Nell. You know that. She’s going to get hurt someday. All we can do is love her, and be there when it happens.”

I can't say it enough so I'll say it again, I LOVED this book! To fall in love and to love your children are two beautiful kinds of love that this book illustrates gorgeously . Falling Under is sure now one of my favorite reads.♥ If you're new to this series I really encourage you to give it a try, each book is emotional, heartening, and just unforgettable.

Book One: Falling Into You

Book Two: Falling Into Us
Meg's Review:
This was SUCH a great surprise to get in my inbox on Wed. Jasinda's  ARC's are always a special something. This one blew me away yet again.

Back into the wonderful world of Nell, Colt, Jason, and Becca <3 We are 17 years later jumping into the wonderful world of Nell and Colt's daughter Kylie, and her life <3

From the moment we met Oz I knew I was going to love him. He was going to weave his way into my heart and again become one of those characters that I adored. Call me shocked when he did not only that, but he took it to another level. Tall, tattooed, handsome and brooding.

Everybody knows girls like the bad boys, and I'm thoroughly bad.

Just what Kylie needs.

I Loved Kylie as a character as well. She's strong-willed and fights for what she wants. She is very decisive with her decisions and sticks to her guns. PLUS not only is she gorgeous, she's real. She speaks her emotions and lays it all on the table. No hidden agendas with her.

Falling Under Teaser

We can always count on Jasinda to write those heroines that we LOVE.

The story was fantastic. I sometimes worry when an author puts out another book in a series that you weren't expecting. It usually goes two ways. It's Terrible because they are just writing it to write, or its FANTASTIC. This one is fantastic. Nell and Colt's novel ended perfectly, and so Did Jason and Becca's. I liked the fact that we got to see more of them as well as Becca & Jason, but that this novel wasn't about them. This was about Kylie and Oz. Its their turn and Jasinda gives them their due.

But don't worry. We all know how well Colt stays in line, and when it comes to his baby girl all bets are off.

Seeing that gesture in Oz, in the guy my daughter is interested in? It scared the F**k out of me. What frightens me even more in the fact that I don't know what the hell to do about it. - Colt

This novel takes you for a ride. Its a fast and wonderful ride. Packed full of great music and unyielding love, this book grabs you and doesn't let go. Another MUST READ from Jasinda Wilder. (Did You Expect Any Less?) Go One-Click Novel Grounders.

Book One: Falling Into You

Book Two: Falling Into Us
Synopsis:
My name is Colton Calloway. You’ve heard part of my story, but it turns out there’s more. My little girl, Kylie, is all grown up. Seventeen, beautiful, and talented, just like her mother. And just like Nell, my daughter seems to have fallen for a bad boy, one with a lot of darkness and a lot of secrets.

* * *

Just what Kylie needs.

I Loved Kylie as a character as well. She's strong willed and fights for what she wants. She is very decisive with her decisions and sticks to her guns. PLUS not only is she gorgeous, she's real. She speaks her emotions and lays it all on the table. No hidden agendas with her.

I loved every second of this book and I'm not sure I can do it justice with my review but I'll do my best.

First of all, let me tell you, Jasinda sure knows how to surprise us. I wasn't expecting this. Sure, I wanted to read more about Nell and Colt but this is so much better.

Falling Under happens almost twenty years later and it's the story of Kylie, their daughter.

Colt and Nell have done well for themselves and are now famous singers. The past is behind them and she seems to have recovered well enough. They still perform but not often. Having their own recording studio gives them the opportunity to help struggling singers.

Kylie has grown up in a warm and loving environment, with two wonderful parents and her best friend, Ben. He's Jason and Becca's son and they've been inseparable since they were small children. Just like her mom and dad, she loves music but she lacks confidence. Being the daughter of Colt and Nellie also means that she has to be the best and make it on her own.

Oz is a troubled young man. He's always been on the road. His mother moves around a lot, uprooting him every time he gets used to the new environment. And this is how they end up in Nashville where he meets Kylie.

He's instantly attracted to her - the gorgeous girl with long strawberry blond hair, beautiful blue eyes and a body to die for who doesn't fall for his crap.

She challenges him from the beginning and won't stay away no matter how hard he pushes her, so they end up spending more and more time together.

We don't know much about him except that he has his own issues which he expertly hides. Music also is a refuge and this is what connects him and Kylie in the first place.

There's no tragedy or major drama like we've seen in Falling Into You. Jasinda has created Oz's character to suit Kylie. He's pretty normal, except from the fact that he hides behind creepy t-shirts and heavy-metal music. When she meets him, he's already on the way to recovery just not there yet. He just needs that final push and she's the one that will trigger the change in him.

It's strange to see Colt as a father. Took some getting used to it. He adores Kylie and he'd like to protect her from every harm, especially when he sees a little bit of himself in Oz. It's nice to see how close they are and to see that there's still something from the old Colt inside him. The part where he tries to talk to her about safe sex? OMG, that was priceless. I love him!

Ben is another matter altogether. He came across as a spoiled brat and a bully. Not my favorite person in the book.

In the end, an accident will reveal hidden truths, reconnect old friends and be the beginning of new bonds. And the way this story ended? Beautiful. I had tears in my eyes.

I can't say anything about it without spoilers so you'll just have to read and see for yourselves.

Great job, Jasinda! I'm so glad you decided to surprise us with this book.I absolutely loved it! I really hope this isn't the end 'cause I need more of Colt, Nell, Kylie and Oz and I think I'm not the only one.

Happy Reading!

"She's a good girl with a future. I'm a bad boy with none. Too bad I'm an idiot who never pays attention to warning signs."

I. Love. Colton. Calloway.

He is perfection!

Seriously, this man can do no wrong.

I absolutely loved that we were able to get into his head in this book. Usually when he get dual POVs, we get the lead female/lead male. In this case, we got the father (Colt) and the lead male, Oz. And let me tell you, get into a man's head really is a whole different world. I mean, if I had to read about how big or huge or ginormous Kylie's boobs were, I thought I was going to have to throw my Kindle to the nearest wall. And speaking of Kylie...

Hmmm...Kylie...I am definitely in the minority here when I say that I really disliked this character. So much so, that I just didn't care about her anymore. I lost it a little when she and Oz meet and go off on his bike. Throughout the book, I just couldn't connect with her. I felt like she was very whiny and petulant. She just rubbed me the wrong way. I wish Kylie had had a stronger bond with her mother, Nell, as well. And I thought she was a horrible friend to Ben.

Oh Ben. That poor boy. I felt utterly bad for him. But it's true as the saying goes, "You snooze, you lose!" I am hoping we get a book or novella about his whereabouts. I would love to know where he went, what he did and he ever found someone to truly love.

Overall, it was a good book. I absolutely LOVED the first two books in this series. It was a happy surprise to get the continuing story of Nell and Colt as well as Becca and Jason's.

I know I sound like a broken record but I loved this book! To see Colt and Nell with Kylie all grown up and some of Becca and Jason with a touch of jealous Ben in the mix was truly awesome! I loved the way Jasinda put this story together! It's told from Oz's (the hero) POV and Colt's (the heroines dad) POV! This was genius! Although you weren't getting Kylie's POV the critical points we needed to "see" Colt witnessed and frankly Colt had a few very poignant and pertinent scenes with both Oz and Ben! Again music was a theme in this book and it made me want to read Falling Into You again because honestly Colt & Nell are probably one of my top 5 favorite couples! This book is a roller coaster! A good bit of drama, lots of love and a twist that you won't want to miss! Hoping for a book for Ben because my heart broke for that poor guy! He needs his HEA too!

So a year ago Jasinda turned my world upside down with Falling into You, I absolutely loved it and is still a top fav of mine. Colt and Nell captured my heart.
This one just blew me away and just reinforced my love for this author and her work. I won't give much away but if you are fan of this series then you MUST read it! And if you haven't read the first two books, you HAVE to read them before reading this one. I love how this story tied into the first two so yes that means you get more Colt, Nell, Becca and Jason❤️This story is told from alternate POV from Colt and Oz which you'll really get to know him. I loved getting more Colt and fell even more in love with him which I didn't think was possible. So go get your copy and love it just like I did!

✯SIX STARS OF PERFECTION✯

This may be the single most fascinating idea of the entire series.

Some people write stories while others deliver life, reality. Something so surreal you become addicted surviving solely on the next written word, thought, prose, expansion of emotion. There’s no stopping, no break, no allowance of surrender. Past and present minded by words, lyrics and song. Ultimately poetic, stimulating, conveyed effortlessly, and appropriately raw. Life-altering elements fused into script which could very well make or break ones life. A deliciously tantalizing sense of being. A hope so believable one can taste it, smell it. The plot bestows impressive complexity. Fate forced battles of impervious choices, sacrifice, courage, adulation and love.

The author delivers a beautifully conceived and well executed story of life, love, triumph and death. Artistically shaped into a journal exposing a journey to existence, to living. Embracing desires some can only dream of when faced with an abundance of rejection, uncertainty, and self-doubt. Finding worth beyond the affliction, beyond the scrutiny of others and one's self. Maintaining humanity, embracing affection, and discovering the beauty of forgiveness despite being dealt an unjust and destructive hand.

A story that will keep you cemented to the pages, eagerly awaiting the next turn and fearing it at the same time. If heroine was a book this would be it’s leader.

This book CAN BE READ ALONE, but I cannot fathom why anyone would choose to not delve in the lives of Colt and Nell and Jason and Becca. The entire series is perfection at it’s best. Every emotion of FALLING INTO YOU and FALLING INTO US was there, precisely incorporated, hand-in-hand, with the raw reality of this book!

A speedy read. And typical of Wilder a sweet sexy storyline. The future of Colt and Nell played off perfectly. I had no trouble falling into step with 20 year leap. The story was all Oz and Kylie, with just the right amount of Colt and Nell. I did appreciate that the second narrator was Colt and not Nell, it was a great spin, And it flowed wonderfully.

Falling Under
Falling Under by Jasinda Wilder
3rd in a series of Standalones. NewAdult with lots of sex.
SURPRISE!!! It's another Falling Book from Jasinda Wilder! Usually I like to know that another book in a series is coming out because my memory sucks so bad I like to re-read the books before it. I didn't have the chance to do that before reading Falling Under, and that is OK, everything will be explained.

I don't like to read too many NA books, I have a hard time reading about teen sex when my child is that age. But Jasinda can weave a tale so magical that you always know that the kids are in love, and it just seems...right. These aren't just any kids in this book though...this one is interesting. It's in the future, yet not. It's about Kylie, the only child of Nell and Colton from Falling Into You" target="_blank">Falling into You. They live across the street from best friends Becca and Jason from Falling Into Us and their son, Ben, in an upscale Nashville neighborhood. While it isn't really necessary to read the first two books in the series, READ THEM, because they are awesome. Both were on my Best of 2013 list.

This story is Oz's story. It's Colt's story. But mostly it's 17 year old Kylie's story told from Oz and Colt's point of view, which made it pretty unique, because as I review this, I almost forgot it wasn't in Kylie's voice at all. And I never missed it.

Oz is a 'bad boy'. Long hair, metalhead, motorcycle, tattoos, smoker, fighter, and he lives in the wrong part of town. He knows nothing about his father and isn't close with his mom, but at 21 he just lives with his mom to help her with bills. He's moved so often in his life that he never set down roots, or made any friends. But right away, you see beyond that. He's smart, maybe a math genius. And when he sees Kylie in one of his classes, his reaction shocks him.

"I can't take my eyes off her. I'm mesmerized...I've never had my pulse race and thunder in my ears, never had my palms sweat. Never wanted to stand up, cross the room and beg for her name, her number, for five fucking minutes alone with her."

Kylie approaches him after class, and minutes later, she's riding away on the back of his bike. Kylie is a good girl. A virgin. She grew up happy, and had a great relationship with her successful musician parents, Nell and Colt, and has a good, strong head on her shoulders. But immediately, there is something between them.
"I shouldn't be doing this, shouldn't be acting like this chick could ever mean anything to me, or I to her"
"She's a good girl with a future. I'm a bad boy with none. Too bad I'm an idiot who never pays attention to warning signs."

As for Colt, he's looking out for his little girl, and he is a great dad. He trusts his daughter to make smart decisions and despite his reservations, he lets her.
"I see something in this kid, something I recognize. And it scares me that she's interested in him."

When Kylie wants to enter her first open mike night without her parent's help, she needed a guitarist. And though Oz only plays metal, she charms him into trying her music, and a duet was born.
"Singing and playing acoustic guitar like some coffeehouse hipster dick? Yeah, no."

This was totally against Oz's personality, but he couldn't say no to Kylie. But Kylie wanted more...she wanted Oz, but he didn't want to sully her with his life.
"My life ain't pretty, sweetness. I wouldn't be doing you any favors by dragging you through the mud of my messy-ass life. You'd get dirty, and you're way too clean, way too gorgeous, and way too innocent for me to be willing to soil you like that."

Jasinda has once again created a beautiful young love story. When I finished the book, I hugged it and thought "this is why I love to read!"

Likes:

•I liked that though it was set 17-18 years after Falling Into You and Falling Into Us, it was still in our time. It never bothered me.
•The story was told mostly in Oz's POV, with Colt's also added in.
•Visiting with Colt and Nell (still so in love!)
•So many quotes, it was impossible to choose.
•Seeing Becca and Jason (I didn't really remember their story so much, but I re-read my review, and Jasinda brought it all back).
•Jasinda didn't rip my heart out and then stomp on it, though she came close a few times.
•Oz always thought of Kylie first. He was so worried about his bad decisions affecting her.
•Love how music was such a big part of the book.
•The epilogue.
•The coming attraction for her next (unrelated and very adult) book, coming in April, Alpha. Holy crapolie, it looks amazing!
•Set up for another Falling book.

Dislikes:

There is really nothing to dislike, which may be my only dislike...maybe it was too sweet and safe for some.

**NOTE: Book ends at 89% and there is a nice long juicy preview for Jasinda's next amazing sounding book, Alpha.

Rating: Wow, this is tough... 4.75 Stars, 4.5 heat

I loved everything about Falling Under, so in some ways it's a 5 star read, but it just wasn't EPIC. It was sweet, it was wonderful, and I loved it. But I have come to expect Jasinda's heart-ripping emotion. This story just may not stick with me the way Falling into You did. It felt safe, and happy. There was an uplifting feel to the whole book, and I loved it all the way through. Perhaps if it wasn't Jasinda I would have rated it higher, but my expectations of Jasinda 'going there' where other authors won't go wasn't really satisfied. Falling Under was just a wonderful, sweet, good-girl falls for bad-boy story and I truly loved every word of it. In fact, I think when I finished, my thought was "5 stars" but then I read the preview at the end for her next book, Alpha, and thought..."Holy Shit, I NEED more NOW!" Alpha already looks like a 5 star read to me.
"It shouldn't be me, but it is. I'm just a hood rat, a metal kid, a pot-smoking fighter, the kid who's been to juvie and psych wards, who's been suspended more times than I can ever count, expelled once, beaten up countless times, shot, nearly stabbed once, left for dead in a parking lot, fatherless, friendless, homeless, rootless. How could I possibly deserve to have this glorious pale-skinned fire-haired, lightning-eyed beauty, this goddess?"

Honestly, I was disappointed with Ms. Jasinda after Stripped by Jasinda Wilder , but I mean really, really disappointed. I felt betrayed, scammed, and dishearten about her [their] writing, because they had delivered us amazing books, no matter what other people think: I love her [their] books. So much, that I bought the "Ever After Trilogy" [all three books] and have been waiting in my kindle app since then. But after this one, that'll change.

When the first book was published, I loved it so much, that I even bought it on paperback [which I have re-read 3 times]. So, it was a must read when I knew this one was out!

WARNING NOTE: If you haven't read the previous two books, don't read besides this point!!!

Now, the PG version:

Plot: 5 stars; has depth, emotional, tender, erotic romance.
Characters: 4.5 stars; I wanted to slap some sense from Oz and her mother.
Postscript: Too cheesy, but could be included as part of Epilogue. Although, I'm waiting Ben's book (:

BTW, this book includes a preview from her new book "Alpha", and I'm desperately waiting for it!!! My cc is gonna cry next month. Too many auto-gifts!!!!! :D
