This manga was my formal introduction into "omegaverse." My wife is a huge fan but I've never understood the tropes, the terms, etc. so every few pages I'd turn to her and ask, "Is this situation common in omegaverse?" and she would always excitedly explain to me what I was reading. So my peer-reviewed research tells me this manga is very trope-cliché. I don't know if that makes you want to read it more or less, but it seems it checks all the boxes for a true omegaverse title. I need to perform further experimentation to determine whether this is a good omegaverse series or a boring one. I did like the heroine--excuse me, "omega"--but she is pretty clueless, so you might find that annoying. Or endearing. She has two love interests, a childhood friend and a dashing yakuza. They're both hot but yakuza-dude is the reason I'm giving this manga five stars. You can't beat a sexy tattooed gangster. Erm, alpha.

This was definitely a steamy one. Both of our leads on the cover are incredibly attractive and likeable. They have an alpha/omega dynamic with a few extra layers. It's some of the little things that made this one shine for me, details like an actual plot, secrets that are revealed early rather than dragged on with misunderstandings, and of course, that he's a cat guy. I'm looking forward to more.

Thoughts:
Absolutely love the art in this manga! It is so incredible and the assists the storytelling so well. As for the plot, I am very interested to see where things will go with Niikura, Kunimitsu, and the investigations into the Yakuza.

I wish we would have gotten more relationship development in this volume, but I found the info on this particular omegaverse very interesting.

I loved this but even with all the love I have for this manga, the biggest issue I also found with it was the fact that there just wasn't enough omegaverse. Only a small mention of nesting and it's not a common, every day occurrence for omegas, no knots, biting is only between fated mates. Sigh . . .

That all to say that I gobbled this up. It was sweet and cozy even with threats and kidnappings. The relationship between Wakana and Kunimitsu was cute, absolutely filthy but still cute. It was obviously fast paced and there's a threat of a love triangle but it ends up being more other man drama than a true triangle.

It's a fun, fast series. I wish omegaverse elements had been leaned in to more but still a great edition to my omegaverse shelves.

I think this is the first f/m omegaverse story I’ve read. It’s a good start to a series and very spicy. Niikura Wakana is supposed to interview a yakuza second, Tatara Kunimitsu, when she goes to a heat for the first time. He takes care of her and a connection forms between them. So when the same happens again, she contacts him again.

Tatara Kunimitsu isn’t the only man interested in her. Her childhood friend, Kuon Shinobu, is also after her. He’s outwardly perfect, but he’s kept secrets from her all their lives. And he’s also using her to investigate Tatara Kunimitsu. But he’s too late, because Kunimitsu is already making his move on her. I’ll have to read on to find out how it goes.

OKAY WOW this was even better than I hoped it would be. I never know how these yakuza romances are going to go and I also am not very into omegaverse things, but this one knocked it out of the park for me. rather than making him super toxic, this definitely seems to be going down the 'gruff/bad-boy exterior with a heart of gold' route for tatara. the artstyle here is exactly what I like, and the spice was spicing!!!! I'm in for book 2~!!

Wavered between 3.5 or 4 stars, but I'll round up. I liked this overall a lot. The character art styles are good, good smut, and the worldbuilding is pretty good. I think it's throwing a bit too much of omegaverse in without stopping to think about how those dynamics would really fit into the world, but I'm very interested to see where the story goes. I'm desperately hoping there isn't too much time spent on Wakana dithering over 'does this mean he likes me?', annoying love triangle dynamics.

Story was kinda meh, seems to be struggling getting its footing and I felt like characters got kinda just thrown in without any true background story or anything but I get that it’s just a fun spicy read, I honestly think the sex scenes are decently done and not in an outrageous manner. Not really a “graphic” manga fan so debatable if I’ll continue this one but I wouldn’t be opposed if It was a library borrow 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m not gonna lie this was a really fun manga. I wasn’t expecting it to be so graphic and in your face from page one but I’m definitely intrigued to keep reading the rest of the series. It’s very fast paced. I think I finished it in like 30 minutes maybe 45? I will say DO NOT READ IN PUBLIC! Also if you are not a fan of smut or drawings of smut maybe skip out on this one lol
