Time is ticking, choices have been made and there's no way back. Gordon and Morna are people you know; seemingly happy, living a pretty good life but underneath the surface everything is not as it seems. In Volume 2 'Braced for Impact', Morna faces challenges that she never dreamed would come her way and Gordon has to face the reality of one stupid mistake.
First, a confession. I thought the first installment of "The Wrong Delivery" was a standalone. It worked as a self-contained piece with an open-ended conclusion, but I secretly hoped there'd be more. Lucky me. McDroll is going for the serialized novel. Yet again, it doesn't feel that way. I don't feel like I'm being shafted by an installment. Even though I'm left hanging for the next volume, I still get a satisfying read. As for the plot, McDroll turns the screws she stuck in your head from the first one. I don't want to give too much away. Start with the first one before diving into this one, "The Wrong Delivery - Corrin's Eyes."
Tasty Fun! This is Vol. 2 of a serialized e-novella so I won't give away any plot points, but if you liked any of McDroll's Kick It stories (which, buy and read if you haven't already) I think you'll like The Wrong Delivery. Not quite as much humo(u)r as in the Kick Its, but still. Well paced -- the tension is titrated in short chapters guaranteeing you'll read WAY more than you planned when you first sat down! -- and a bit of in medias res will also keep you on your toes.
So hey Goodreads...where's Vol. 3: A Perfect Excuse?
