It comes to no secrete that I really liked this book. I LOVE the entire series ! This author is rapidly becoming one of my favorites, I really like her books. They are always very long because she gives EVERY SINGLE detail. So it’s justified long in my opinion. This book just wasn’t rated higher because I didn’t love Ginevra. She annoyed me . Was she wronged, manipulated, abused and violated? Yes she was. Did she still manage to make me question her actions and get irked by her behavior? Yes she did. I know when I am not going to vibe with the female character when I get to a point where I blame the victim, then I know the character and I didn’t vibe….. Benito was the very definition of the morally black character that I love to hate and hate to love. Different than her, his reasons were relatable. Was he right? NO. Was he a hero? HELL NO. He put her through hell, but somehow you still fell for him. He NEVER EVER even kissed another woman since he was 8 years old. He remained a virgin because she was THE only woman for him. While she didn’t have another man by choice, she still had. And she had a complicated “situationship” with his alter ego that she doesn’t know it’s him but still at the same time she HATES the guy (which is him) she also desires him. And that creates a weird situation, and in there I couldn’t be on her side, I know what he was doing was completely utterly wrong but I don’t like how she reacted to him. You’ll only understand what I’m saying if you read the book. On the other hand I Love that this story is happening simultaneously with Roman’s/Emberly and Cesare/Rosalind ! The only one that had the story kinda set was Leroy and Seraphine. So I love how you see Benito’s view of his brothers relationships and the whole mafia mess, the violence, the cassino the assassins! As I said this author gives a LOT of details and the stories are very rich. ANDDDDDD all the females in this series are BAD ASS AF ! Besides Ginevra 😂 I also loved how she manage to give a little recognition to the story of Xero and Amethyst because their book is AMAZING🖤
My faves in this series
MMC - Leroy (Taming Seraphine) FMM - Rosalind (Breaking Rosalind) BOOK - Breaking Rosalind LOVE STORY - Breaking Rosalind
So I thought long and hard what to rate this book. I wanted to know the story between Gen and Ben. And I feel it was a letdown in my eyes. With everything that happened between them, why didn't Benito fight for her back in the day? He let her go.. let her leave without a fight with all his "how come you didn't come to me" when Gen told him the story about why she had to break up with him. For a man who was obessed, it was a letdown when he could've stalked her butt since she left. Or showed me he tried.
Benito wasn't my favorite brother. I didn't mind his manipulation of ways. His ways were more humiliating and making Gen beg for help. With his mask alter ego.
The only thing that made me side eye was him humiliating her when she told him she slept with her stalker. MIND YOU HER STAKKER IN THE MASK WAS HIM!! Yes, he used and played with her under a Mask alter ego so she can see the dark side of the world. So he made her feel like she was unfaithful. Breeding her like a 🐕 as Punishment.
But Benito did grovel and worked to make Gen his again when she left him when all the secerts and drama ended. Couple months and Therapy.
The best thing about this Benito was a virgin he hadn't had anyone suck him off or anything it was all for Genevieve. As for Gen, she deserved so much. I wish she had some sort of friend or someone to stick up for her. She was fighting everything by herself. I kinda wish she had some girlfriends that weren't backstabbing bitches.
No ow/tiny om (himself in a mask), no cheating, slight secondary character, drama, sexy times, no virgin FMC (she was raped), virgin MMC

4.5 ⭐ Okay! I don't know where to begin! This is my favourite book in this series, the romance was soooo beautifully heartbreaking that i cried a lot! I love that all 4 books happened at the same timeline, so that it was all like a big book with different POVs!
Genivra was forced to leave the love of her life for an abusive sick bastard! I have to say that i love her a lot, she started as this frightened girl and then took back her life and survived! What dickless Samson did to her broke my heart! I understand the reasons behind why she left Benito, she sacrificed her happiness and sanity for the people she loves the most!
Benito 😢 i wasn't expecting to like him really, he was kind of annoying in the previous books. But his POV was so heartbreaking! After Roman went to prison and his dad died and he lost the love of his life, he didn't even grief, he had to work and keep his family safe! Yes the manipulation was horrible on his part, but i kind of understand? Look, he was in love with her since he was 8, he worshipped her, he was scared that she won't accept him! I love that he started to figure out his mistakes!
The plot here was a bit weak for me! But it wasn't the main concern! We had a few cute moments between the Montesano brothers, and Cesare's love advice lol!
My favourite scene is the last few chapters, especially the casino scene and the way Benito confessed everything while everyone was watching!
My favourites in this series Favourite MMC: (Leroi from Taming Seraphine) Favourite FMC: (Rosalind from Breaking Rosalind) Favourite relationship: (Benito and Genivra ❤️) Favourite book: (Stalking Genivra) Best plot: (Snarling Emberly)
Every time Benito says no one touches my wife I get so giddy i forgive everything he did!
THIS MAN IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FINEEEEEEE... he's so sweet and caring even after he did the things he did to ginevra which he has issues so I still love this man. I hope the author writes more books about Benito and the rest of the boys for later on in their lives so I can see if they have children or not because I think it would be funny to see Cesare trying to be a parent to a little one.
I give this book a 9.5 because I don't like the fact of how rough the back stories were but I do love the main characters sm!
Now if Bob Brisket aka Benito came into my house at night and did the things he did to her idk how I would feel.
2.5⭐️ The book had potential.. it just fell flat. The storyline could be improved in so many ways. There was no real plot or story in here, except Benito holding Ginevra hostage in every way, then trying to get her back. I was so excited for this book to come out and now I'm disappointed
his reasoning for wanting to stalk and break her down was a little annoying given his profession...like DUHHHHHHH he should’ve known what was really going on
This was a let down! He was not my favorite brother! This book was way longer than it should have been! His grovel should have been MORE! He did soo much to her in the beginning of their second chance! Plus it was too many side characters in this book that it was hard to keep up.
God where do I start? This series went downhill fast. Each book kept getting longer but not better. First of all I want to publicly apologize to Rosalind and Cesare, babies everything I said wrong about you, you guys didn’t deserve it, you’re truly amazing. I’m sorry. I was super excited for Benito and Ginevra’s story, this was a complete shitshow, those finals chapters felt so forced and weird, they were completely wrong and felt like a waste of time. This whole thing could’ve been easily avoided if they had a proper adult conversation, Cesare even mentioned at some point. So I simply couldn’t agree with anything that happened between them, their decisions were based on “for the plot” and therefore I could connect with any of them. Super unnecessarily long easily -200 pages !!!! I feel so wronged by this book. I need a break, good bye!
i normally don’t like dropping comments , but what the actual f_ck did i just read? i already gave cesare the award for my least favorite montesano family member, but i guess I’ll be revoking it and giving it to his older brother because WHAT THE H_LL??????
i thought benito was supposed to be the only one in the family with a functioning brain, yet it seems i was wrong. your fiancée just out of the blue broke your engagement to be with a psycho and you just thought that she just got tired of you or something? and she actually betrayed you? you’ve known her since she was eight yet you believed an out of the blue engagement and didn’t think something funny was going on? you were then later aware that your cousin leroi is dating the girl who samson and his brother Gregor used as a plaything, and the thought of Ginevra suffering the same fate under samson never crossed your mind? yet what entered your head first was to infiltrate into the place samson was hiding with the goal to put a bullet to her head?
this is supposed to be cute? justified? OKAY?
I thought cesare was supposed to be the idi_t, and benito the smart one.
there were so many scenes in this book that irked me tf out.
but none could compare to when the eldest out of the moron-sanos said this;
My big brother’s posture at the head of the table is stiff and motionless, so much like Dad that I tense in my seat. His food remains untouched, his eyes locked on me with that familiar calculating stare. He isn’t just watching—he’s sizing me up, and it sets my nerves on edge. “You’re sure Ginevra’s a victim in all this?” Roman asks.
i don’t care if he wasn’t aware of what she suffered, but you don’t say sh_t like that when your brother’s wife gets kidnapped.
and don’t get me started with the scene after Benito got shot and him and his brothers were in the room talking about ginevra leaving him.
“But you took a bullet for her.” My little brother folds his arms, his eyes sharpening. “It’s a fucking miracle you’re not dead.” “Cesare,” Roman says. “No,” he snaps. “What kind of woman watches a man sacrifice his life to save her scrawny ass, only to leave him at his most vulnerable?”
THE KIND THAT REALIZES HER WORTH AND DOESN’T FALL IN LOVE WITH A MAN THAT EMOTIONALLY ABUSED AND MANIPULATED HER. not everyone is like your sweet little Rosalind that embraced Stockholm syndrome so much, that she fell in love with your pathetic petty borderline-sex offender ass!

This one was too much and not enough. The first half was hard to read because of the deep trauma and unresolved emotions of the main characters. And then everything moved quickly in the second half, with feelings changing and evolving in seconds. The pacing was weird and inauthentic, especially compared to the first three books in the series.
Finishing a 700+ page book in 2 days! NEW RECORD But this book was honestly too long but the end was so good I loved the start and end but some of the middle just got repetitive and a little boring I JUST NEED MORE THINGS HAPPENING I loved their relationship tho like they loved each other but sacrificed that to save each other The angst too and the fact that he pretended to be someone else to get closer to her THEY WERE ALSO BOTH VIRGINS LOVEEEE I JUST WISH THE BOOK WAS SHORTER LMAO BUT I LOVED THE WHOLE SERIES
okay this series was a huge disappointment. Like when i say this series had me in a chokehold in the start, im not even kidding.
It started off amazing and then crashed HARD. Book 1 was peak, book 2 was still good, book 3 was trash and book 4 was straight up shitty.
After book 2 everything felt flat and messy, like the author was trying too hard to make it dark so she just threw every fucked up thing possible into the plot. The result???? A big ass shitshow.
Stalking Ginevra had potential, don’t get me wrong. The masked stalker thing? Cool idea. Could’ve been hot, could’ve been scary. But nowadays books traumatize characters like it’s a flex then end with some weak ass I’m sorry here’s a tiny bit of grovel. Like bitch. Traumatizing a character doesn’t automatically make a story deep. Sometimes it just makes it cringe as hell.
By the time we hit the end, I wasn’t even shocked anymore.. I was tired. Like genuinely exhausted from the gaslighting and humiliation.
Honestly the only names worth remembering from this series are Seraphine and Leroi from book 1. They will always be the real ones.
Warning For Author: Your Mental Health Matters, If Honesty About Abuse Annoys You, Don't Read, She Calls His Treatment A Cycle Of Abuse, And Centreing Himself Heals Her?
He's one hundred percent an abuser, like Benito Mussolini.
And never stops.
He doesn't want her to heal, he wants her to heal that she is annoyed with his control.
A year of controlling her and pretend he was practising self control.
There was no growth here.
A controlling man was allowed to be controlling in the end.
A coercive man was allowed to be coercive in the end.
An abusive man was allowed to continue his abuse in the end.
One wonders why the words "abuse" and "rape" terrify the writers who write 800 pages nauncing abuse and rape.
Come on, stop being a coward.
No consent, is rape.
Do you need a glossary of the ways he denies consent?
Oh to divide and conquer my attention away from the rape and into how he just wants her attention, heartbroken or desperate, he'll take it and then centre himself and go to therapy to get therapy speak to gaslight her.
Which he does.
She's not real.
She exists for the Unseen, the Unloved and utterly Unfucked to live through, so they can pretend they want freedom, from the patherix patriarchial prisons of her own making.
Poor Ginny, never allowed to recover, never given that divorce to recover.
Abuse.
Green Pilled Patriarchial Parable of Toxicity, where the hero on has to change his method of control.
Yeah readers "your mental health matters" and yet the main characters doesn't. She has to gaslight herself that his choices make her feel loved, when they don't.
The therapy is bullshit and I've never met a man who stops because of therapy. Therapy is used to silence victims and pretend you understand your choices.
There was no permitted healing in this book.
Just narcissism, the classic NPD getting to dodge feeling emotions for his choices, and the Borderline Personality with mirroring habits.
But I don't want you to feel shame, just empathy that trauma doesn't do this and we mentally ill are among the least violent demographic there is, so he doesn't get to join our squad as his resolution for being exiled from his squad.
I really hate when authors uses rhetoric to describe one persons behaviour, that they wouldn't use for the other abusers.
Shoes that you are still dodging emotional responsibility for his choices.
He never says loudly, "I am an abuser."
Not once.
He doesn't say, "I regularly denied consent to my wife, which is rape, I raped my wife, who knows stimulation isn't consent."
Its always, "I'm being better, for my wife, I disrespected her."
Mate thats not how you talk about other abusers.
Come on, did therapy only teach you new words, that mean nothing to you, so you don't have the emotional impact of ACTUAL words.
Cycle of Abuse needs a what?
An Abuser.
Cowardly.
He can't grow if he doesn't learn to live with the Abusive Karma, as abusive karma, that he dealt into the world.
Anyway, I really hate when abusers get to use pretty new language to distance themselves from their choices, but use harsher language for their enemies.
It means they aren't really taking anything seriously.
Anyway, we know now why Men attack much more than Women and its not Testosterone, which Women also have.
No, its a sympathetic nervous system that has been overly protected, so he's allowed to be hypocritical and hyposensitive about his choices.
And you wonder, "Over protected, what" but yes, externalising comes from being allowed to externalise, being allowed to be violent, so long as you perform apologising after, before the age of 3.
For women, who are more mentally ill than men, their sympathetic nervous system is over exercised by not even being allowed to think, or feel, or say, or react in a way that reveals you think this boy attacked you on purpose, before the age of 3.
The boys must be chronically infantilised into being allowed to dodge the emotional responsibility of their choices, by going to a therapist to find new vocabulary.
But if he cannot use the exact same words for his choices, that he uses when his enemies make those choices, then he's just asking forgiveness, rather than permission again, and needs a new glossary.
Trip to the therapist to sharpen that vocab and dodge the reality of your choices.
This book definitely has somethings that can feel repetitive, especially parts about Benito’s mother or Cesare or the betrayal of the 2 women in his life. But damn if this book did not grab my attention and keep it. I really enjoyed this series. After being saved Ginevra really kinda just needed to make a damn move to see that Benito had changed. I also feel if Benito actually listened to Ginevra at the beginning about never wanting to leave his side would have solved alot of issues.
Benito being heartbroken over Ginevra’s walking out on him for another man (Samson) changed his entire life. He went from being Ginevra’s acolyte to hating her. When they went to seek revenge on the family that destroyed theirs, Benito found Ginevra tied up and placed in a cupboard. Ginevra begged for her life to this mysterious hero, but didn’t realize that the cost would be something she hasnt tried since she was told she was bad at it.
From here Ginevra’s story only gets worse. Her father was murdered. Her father’s law firm, which never really belonged to him, was taken back by its actual owner. And she was forced back down to a lowlife. Loan sharks came after her mother and herself due to her “father’s debt”. The masked man comes back for more. And her mother is about to marry a monster.
What really sets her off is when her masked man ripped out the heart on a man who was just a sleazy (Julian). She had no other choice but to run back to man she was in love with from the age of 8 to 24. The only thing he wanted was marriage, with her being petrified she has no other choice. He forced into a skin tight gown and made her get married in his Casino with a Elvis impersonator. He then locks her up for the night until moves her to her next cell the honeymoon suite.
All while Benito is trying to uncover a scam that is destroying his business. With all his efforts coming up shortened is getting more and more frustrated. When he starts to make good terms with Ginevra he spies on her and thinks she is trying to run away, causing him to put on his disguise and force Ginevra to never want to leave her cell again. He forces himself as his disguise onto Ginevra. Ginevra runs home and begs for forgiveness then to Benito.
Ginevra and Benito start to find a balance and a kinship when Benito thinks he has a close answer of finding a solution to his Casino problem puts Ginevra in the penthouse where she uncovers his disguise. Ginevra finds her chance to run but does it with a woman who sends her right in the hands of Benito’s enemy. Val the man who was supposed to marry her mother is the monster, who was also sent from Benito, perfect place to hide, right under the nose.
Val uses Ginevra for leverage until Benito finds out his true identity. Benito breaks Val’s brother out of death row and negotiates for an exchange. The exchange goes off the rails when Ginevra stabs Val’s brother for killing her biological mother.

Her father has been assassinated, as well as her abusive fiancé. The story begins as she is rebuilding her life.

Benito was Ginerva fiancé first and they had been childhood sweethearts. He felt betrayed when Ginerva abruptly broke their engagement. Now that his family has clawed their way back up, he is set on making her pay for breaking his heart.
Review I loved that all the books in the Morally Black Universe are connected. This can be read on its own but of course, if you read the other books you get a better understanding of the story. This book takes place after a few plot points in the other books but there is still some overlap. Thankfully in this book, there is a list of character descriptions in the beginning to jog your memory.
This book was released after the first three in the series and before the Pen Pals duet, so I would recommend reading it after those five. I also like that a short synopsis is given when the plot points overlap so you don’t have to reread the events all over again and you see it from another perspective.
If you read the other books, this gang is all together to help with an important cause. I love when we see beloved characters again. Leroi and Seraphine are my favorites.
I’m not someone who is into slow burns, groveling, or taking too long to resolve issues but they were necessary to do the story and FMC justice. Both characters have a lot of personal issues and they grow throughout the book.
I am also wary about virgin MMCs but the spice was still spicing, he did his research. Also, sort of romantic that he saved himself for her and only has eyes for her. Masked man scenes, dirty talk and degradation (consensual or dubcon) are always up my alley. The kitten play was not something I thought I would be into but here we are 😽🥛
🔥 “You’re mine. And I’m yours. Whether you want me or not.” ~~~ Ginevra is an incredible woman! She’s a good, kind and caring person who’s been through so much. But despite Ginevra’s life being turned upside-down, she still remains standing. I loved her determination, strength, resilience and courage to face everything thrown her way. Ginevra is amazing and I loved her so much!
And then there’s Benito! This Montesano brother is one dark and intense man. He’s lethal, angry, violent, vengeful, controlling, obsessive and possessive. But there’s another side of him, too. Because Benito is also loyal, fiercely protective, caring and will do everything for the people he cares about. And he’s so sinfully dominant! Benito Montesano is a complex man and I loved everything about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Ginevra and Benito! Five years ago, they were deeply in love, until Ginevra left Benito for his enemy. Now, the things for the Montesano family are looking up, but Benito is still not over her and all he wants is her utter ruin. So, his dark, depraved and twisted game of revenge and humiliation begins. I loved Ginevra and Benito together! Their chemistry was off-the-charts from the very beginning and the tension between the two is sky-high. Even more, the spice was absolutely SPICING and I couldn’t get enough of the dark, depraved and passionate moments they shared. But the more time they spend together, the more things start to change between the two and Benito starts to realize the wrong he’s doing. And, let me tell you, you know that Benito truly went too far when no other than Cesare is the voice of reason. And he needs to grovel and make up for a lot and prove himself worthy of a woman like Ginevra. Their journey towards happiness was definitely a bumpy one, but, in the end they deserved to find a second chance of love together. Ginevra and Benito’s relationship put me through such a range of emotions but I don’t regret even a moment of it.
Overall, Stalking Ginevra is another remarkable addition to the series! It’s a dark, depraved, twisted, action-packed, violent story that will keep you on the edge till the very end.
Idk this wasn't a bust but wasn't an amazing read either. Wayyyy too long and just felt like it dragged with chapters and chapters of basically the same thing in different words. the other books were just as long but felt necessary and captivating. This book could easily have been cut in half. Specifically the first half. You know those meetings that could have been an email? Yeah, multiple chapters gave that vibe and could have been reduced to a quick paragraph or two and fit in somewhere else. Perfect example of more is not always best. There are also things I'm still confused about- was Ginevra's mom actually drunk or not? Because their little heart to heart made it seem like she was playing everyone the whole time and just did so as a facade because of the dad but then later it goes right back to her being a drunk for real and Benito putting her in rehab? And who was Salvatore's daughter? I thought we were going to get a big revelation on her identity, then it's never mentioned again. I'm so mad at Benito for what he put Ginevra through. He was supposed to be the most level headed brother and some how he gave us the worst villain, but not in a good way. You're telling me you were so in tune with each other since childhood, but her calling off your engagement without so much as an explanation to be with someone else didn't raise red flags? Please! And what is with the full blown conversations during sex? Not praise, not taking someone through it but full blown conversations? lol noooo! I had to skim past most spicy scenes which isn't something I normally do. There were so many side characters and small things happening I often felt lost. And because the dang book is so big it was hard to go back to skim over and find my place. Everything came full circle obviously, but whew it was a journey to get there. Honestly , Roman and Leroi's books I loved, but Cesar and Benito's books let me down a little. Idk if there's plan for more in the series? Maybe Gil or Reaper? If so, I hope they are better.
finished this yesterday morning andddddddfffff boy do I have things to tell.
so first, the build up for the grovel was soooo good and I really understood the fmc and didn't have any judgement towards her (rare and surprising lol) and the first 45 percent was so good 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽 but at 40 percent to like 60 percent I was starting to get irritated sm like I hated the mmc's thought process and often times the side characters and even CESERE at the end was like " why didn't u just take flowers to her doorstep" and I wad like SO THE AUTHOR DOES KNOW THIS IS JUST AN EXTREME VERSION OF NO COMMUNICATION DRAMA
the build up was good but I feel like the author kinda lost the balance and wasn't able to tie everything up perfectly or say more.... properly. The buildup at one point got toooooo much like it was sm it started to make me frustrated and angry and lol my annotations may or may not have bashed the Mc alot esp whe. he kept manipulating her and seducing her and just put her thru literal hell. and let's not even start with the "cheating", like u can't tell me our girl didn't have that sense of security with bob because of her subconsious knowing it was benito or smthg.
I was so frustrated there. so so so so so so frustrated.
and the grovel was sooooo shit. there was just time skip and like.. 2 chapters of self reflection by the mmc and then... that's it ig? when the build up kept building I was like is this a duology or smthg? cuz the timeline and pacing for this book wasn't good at all. the emverly book had good groveling. atleast compared to this book. sigh so far I thibk only maya alden books have the mmc like spending more than 2 chapters groveling realistically and not just one speech and done like those one and done lip products.
so... yea. ... sigh.... this was all over the place but eh
also I wasted a whole day just binge reading this. like I started before bed and picked it up as soon as I woke up and kept reading till evening and oof I like big books but this one is just not worth it.
It was a different book from what I normally read. My heart skipped a beat when I read it because so much happened in the book. So the author has a wow imagination. First of all, I liked that it was different from the other books, and in a few hours I read more than half of the book. So.. what humiliation Ginny goes through.... God, I can't believe it. So the woman goes from one humiliation to another all provoked by Benito. Honestly, I think that if they talked more it would be resolved, but in the end the book was pointless. What I liked more was the characters that appear in the book, it is not a simple erotic book, only the 2 of them have sex, but there is also an action with many characters what makes a book complex, I appreciate that.that the reason why he does all the humiliations is so simple and that it's just because she left him, yes I understand that he loved her very much, but I don't like this change, I don't know how to explain it What I didn't like was thatHowever, it seems to me that Benito's feelings were not developed very well, that is, when he confesses to her what Samson did with Ginny, he feels a little angry and then he is afraid she will leave him and thinks that she will run away from him again, I mean I personally expected him to feel sorry and regret what he did, but no, he is afraid that she will leave him, actually stupid.🤣. He did all this because she should return to him and beg for mercy What shocked me was the fact that Clara had sex with "her father", that actually left me speechless🙊. Honestly, I think Benito is a piece of human trash.
In conclusion, I have a lot more to say, but I'll stop here. However, what did I expect from this book? I thought it would be a second chance like the others, but no. I didn't like the characters at all, they didn't talk to each other at all, and the sex between them wasn't... I'll take something. But I'll read other books by this author.

This seems to be the final book in the MORALLY BLACK series. Im gonna get straight into my review! Here's my thoughts...
What I liked...
* Finally after 3 very long books, we got to know and understand BENITO! He wasn't the most likeable character in books 2 and 3 (he hardly featured in book 1) and now we know why he is the way he is. How his mums withdrawing her love and affection when he was only 3 or 4 years old, was the reason for his extreme attachment to Ginerva. I actually ended up really liking Benito a lot.
* Ginerva...boy did this poor girl suffer! There were times when I felt enough was enough, and I wasn't enjoying reading about her torment.
* Little snippets of the previous characters, and I'm gonna gobble up any tiny bit that includes Cesare or Seraphine! I needed way more interaction between these two, they were two peas in a pod, adorable!
* Some decent spice (some cringy spice too)
* A HEA (or at least a HFN as the epilogue didn't really give us much)
What I didn't like as much...
* The books in this series were way, way, way to long! The inner monologues were unnecessarily long, went round and round in circles and were quite tedious (I skimmed a lot of this) The book could've been 30% shorter and flowed much better!
* Where's the extended epilogue that lets us catch up with the characters from the previous books? As a reader I've invested ALOT of hours reading this series...and I was convinced there would be a lovely look at the future that included all of the guys! BUT NO!!! Devastated.
* Apart from book one, books two, three and four felt like a bit of rinse and repeat (third act breakout anyone?) (time jump anyone?)
so...yes I enjoyed this series, yes I did a lot of skimming of internal dialogue as it was repetitive and boring. However I would recommend this series and I will try other books from this author <3
“Fight all you want,” he murmurs, his fingers inching lower, “But Bob Brisket knows what you need.” Ooh Benito is a bad, bad boy. I love his masked stalker persona.
But his kitty kink has me blushing… “Kittens can’t devour their cream when they’re gagged,” he says, his voice full of mirth. “Go on, little Ginny. Enjoy your delicious treat.”
Benito is more manipulative than Roman, a s3xual deviant like Cesare but not unhinged in that way. He is OBSESSED and will go great lengths to punish and secure what he believes is his now that Ginny is back in his sights kinda similar to Xero.
It’s been months since I enjoyed the previous books in the Morally Black series and over 250 books, so I greatly appreciate the Summary of Characters section. It’s a nice quick refresher to the Morally Black universe.
After four books, the overarching plot of the Montesano family getting their revenge, reclaiming their wealthy and reestablishing their claim and authority over New Alderney comes to a conclusion. So sad. I love how intricate the various backstories are and the how each main character develops throughout their story.
Benito and Ginevra’s backstory is just as complicated. They were essential childhood sweethearts torn apart. But due to the situation, they both experienced a more evolved version of each other and a more evolved relationship that demands respect.
Prepare yourself for the groveling…

The Morally Black series just keep getting better and better - if that is even possible. In this fourth installment, Benito struggles with the events from five years ago, where he lost his father and his brother was "removed from home". And it all started with his fiancé leaving him for another man. Now things are looking up for the family. Roman, his brother, is home again and they are securing most of their properties. It's time for r3v3ng3. Ginevra left him and he is going to make her pay.
Five years after she was forced to leave the love of her existence, her life is once again turned up side down, with everything crumbling around her. One bad thing piles on top of another and soon she has no way out, than to turn to Benito for protection. You can do the right thing for the wrong reasons, but you can also do the wrong thing for the right reason. But they can't seem to find the golden way of doing the right thing for the right reason. How are they to navigate it all when no action is what is seems?
Trust has a huge part to play in this book. They used to be each others everything and hold no secrets, but now the secrets and deceit are piling. But not to worry, it is a romance and there is a HEA. The road towards it is paved with action, heat, secrets, surprises, grudges and so much love.
If you like dark romance, with questionable "heroes", then this is a must read. But don't forget to check out the content information - all three pages of them. No book is worth your mental health. Once again GS had me questioning my own s@ni1y - until I remember it's all fiction and I happily wait to see what they have in store for us next.
728 pages of chaos, control, and chemistry and I devoured every second of it.
Gigi Styx didn’t just write a book she dragged me into a world dripping in obsession, danger, and one hell of a power struggle. Stalking Ginevra is not for the faint of heart. It’s a true dark romance brutal, twisted, and gloriously unhinged. The trigger warnings are real, and I respected the hell out of that.
In regard to the mc’s Benito and Ginevra. I wanted to love them. And in moments, I did. But truth? Benito was overwhelming. There were times he crossed the line from intense to downright manipulative. Obsession is one thing control is another. And Ginevra? Too soft for my taste. I craved more resistance, more fire. She folded in places I wish she would’ve fought.
Their story wasn’t a slow burn. It was a fast unraveling. A descent. And while I hated how much power he held over her, I understood it. That kind of obsession? It warps everything identity, trust, even love.
Bob Brisket was loathe-worthy. Every time he entered the scene, I felt my blood boil. He’s the character you hate so hard, it becomes an art form.
And let’s not skip the ending. The plot twist? I did not see that coming and I live for that kind of blindside. Even better, the author didn’t tie it all up with a neat, bow. No instant HEA here. She let the story breathe in its darkness and made every moment feel earned.
Stalking Ginevra will leave claw marks on my brain. It’s dark romance done right jagged, raw, and damn near addictive. Gigi Styx, you witchy wordsmith, I’m hooked. Absolutely a top read of the year best of the series and in my top 5 dark romances! ❤️
