I like THE FUSCO BROTHERS comic strip, but of little of it goes a long way. Unfortunately, this book has a lot of it. Overkill.

If you're looking for a sardonic, sometimes surrealistic cartoon strip, look no further. The four unemployed Fusco brothers--Al, Lance, Lars and Rolf--live in a run-down apartment in Newark, NJ with their pet dog (or, as he insists, wolverine) Axel, who goes to school like any normal sixteen-year-old. Another regular character is Lance's girlfriend, Gloria. Duffy, who also cartoons for the New Yorker, gladly breaks the fourth wall, the rules of logic, and anything else that's lying around.

I didn't really get into this comic. The humor was just too tame and "newspaper-ready," for lack of a better term.
