ARMED INTERVENTION

When a hotel in Barcelona comes under siege by religious fanatics, innocent guests are suddenly caught in a nightmare to be played out on the world stage. The situation is unraveling fast amid the mounting chaos of blood and feareven as an American hostage waits for his chance to turn the tide of slaughter.

Mack Bolan knows what his captors are capable of; he has stared many times into the rabid eyes of zealots and witnessed the fires of commitment to a warped cause. Judging by the seamless takedown of the premises, he realizes he's up against consummate professionals who are ready for anything and will stop at nothing. But the enemy has made a fatal mistake: They let the Executioner live.

Don Pendleton was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, December 12, 1927 and died October 23, 1995 in Arizona.

He wrote mystery, action/adventure, science-fiction, crime fiction, suspense, short stories, nonfiction, and was a comic scriptwriter, poet, screenwriter, essayist, and metaphysical scholar. He published more than 125 books in his long career, and his books have been published in more than 25 foreign languages with close to two hundred million copies in print throughout the world.

After producing a number of science-fiction and mystery novels, Don launched in 1969 the phenomenal Mack Bolan: The Executioner, which quickly emerged as the original, definitive Action/Adventure series. His successful paperback books inspired a new particularly American literary genre during the early 1970's, and Don became known as "the father of action/adventure."

"Although The Executioner Series is far and away my most significant contribution to world literature, I still do not perceive myself as 'belonging' to any particular literary niche. I am simply a storyteller, an entertainer who hopes to enthrall with visions of the reader's own incipient greatness."

Don Pendleton's original Executioner Series are now in ebooks, published by Open Road Media. 37 of the original novels.

Mack Bolan is on vacation of sorts in Spain, and leaves his guns in his room when terrorists take over the resort.

Like a lot of these later books, this doesn't actually seem to be a Mack Bolan book.

this was not an Executioner book I will not recommend to any fan the story rarely had Mack Bolan in it and the Mack Bolan was not the Bolan I recognize at all cutting two heads off and presenting them to the bad guy is not something Bolan would do, shoot a female in the head in bed was odd, and why the downtime with a female like a mercenary was not well done He does have Barbara Price for downtime I thought.
gets 2 stars and just barely
