I needed a bit of time to figure out my thoughts on Faithful. On the one hand, I enjoyed the story and I liked the characters, but on the other I felt like it was missing something that I just couldn’t put my finger on. I think what hung me up was the fact that it felt almost mechanical rather than emotional to me. I could see the author really trying to get the emotion in there, but sex isn’t the foundation of a relationship and that is all we seem to get with these two. The intimate conversations they were having were glossed over, and I felt that by missing those we were missing key components of their relationship. Show me instead of tell me is what I kept saying to myself when we skipped past those moments.

Another aspect that I struggled with is that I know that books are far from reality, but the sex scenes were also a bit over the top (gasp…I know I rarely say that, but I just did). They were hot, so don’t get me wrong here, but they also felt slightly mechanical as well. These characters had great chemistry together in the bedroom, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if the focus would have been more on the emotional connection between them during the act as well.

I really struggle with reviewing books that I deem as 3 star reads, because it isn’t that I didn’t enjoy reading the book but rather I found something missing as I read. I’m sad to say that I found it easy to put this book down, and that never bodes well for me. I think that this author has real potential for a great story here, because it had good bones and the plot was interesting. One key thing I know was missing for me that you usually find in reunion type romance was the conversation between characters about the past. We never get to hear them discuss this, so the back story is left feeling incomplete. I liked that he wanted to make sure they communicated their feelings (this is so rare and I loved that), but I wanted the day to day stuff too to make me believe they fell in love so fast too. When I got to the end, I just felt like things were incomplete and it was far too rushed after so much build-up. So overall, I liked this book and I thought that the author created two characters that were a pleasure to read, but I also think that it does have room for some improvements as well.

First of all, I want to thank Louise Bay for graciously sending me her ARC for an honest review of her book.
"Faithful" was a book I was happy to read and couldn't put it down.
Leah Thompson thought she was living the good life. Great career, great friends, and a great boyfriend who just proposed. What more could a woman ask for? How about some romance?
Charlie, her boyfriend of 6 years, works a lot. Leah works a lot, and things just kinda fizzled between them. One late night while waiting for Charlie to come home from work, her curiosity strikes her and she looks up an old flame, David.
David, Mr. Macho, Mr. Sexy, Mr. Debonair, is very happy to hear from Leah, the one who got away. Now she has contacted him, and he will keep her at all cost, but she is engaged.
Who will she go for, the one she is in love with or the one she loved?
The heart and mind are two very powerful things.
I always love a book where I can feel the character's emotions and feel their connections and thoughts. This book has all that and personality. Not just all love and lust, humor and hurt is in this too, like life.
So, thank you again Louise Bay for the chance to read your ARC, and I hope to read more of your work.

Faithful by Louise Bay 4 "Crazie" good Stars!! ~Cami
What a great debut novel by author Louise Bay!

 photo Fotor0611213425_zps185df46b.png

Leah Thompson has it all, a wealthy boyfriend that just proposed, a good job and great friends. So why is she feeling less than thrilled and looking up an old crush online? Not expecting more than a few harmless messages between friends Leah is surprised when Daniel responds flirtatiously. She soon finds herself looking forward to the messages more than she should and Daniel makes it clear he is interested in being more than just friends. Suddenly Leah has a fiancé showing no love and an old crush hot on her tail. Now this is where the fun begins!! Daniel Armatage is one hot, persistent piece of eye candy! Towards the beginning I quickly found myself asking "Charlie who?"

There is so much more to this story than meets the eye. Ol Charlie boy isn't exactly the type of guy he leads you to believe he is. Then throw into the mix Leah's friends and the new 'friendship' with Daniel. Yikes! It makes for a VERY interesting read with loads of hot and heart melting moments! Daniel is definitely my type of guy! Possessive and caring all wrapped up in one big sexy package! I did find the ending a bit rushed. But this is one book I would without a doubt recommend because once Daniel gets in your system he's a hard one to let go! I anxiously await Ms. Bay's next book Hopeful!!

So you are living the good life. You have it all planned out and it works perfectly. My fabulous boyfriend proposed and we are going to be happy forever. Right?
You know sometimes the best plans fail.

Charlie he sure seems like the perfect boyfriend, fiancé. I must say he did not thrill me and seemed like a bit of a selfish P&*^! I think he left her alone and he was just kinda sure of himself. Then I would be sucked in with his sweet moments.
Appearance says Leah has it all going for her and yet she is not happy.
Life is mediocre and she does not know why.. Is it just her? Shouldn't she be really happy?
I will give her (Leah) the applause she really tries to self-talk her life up. She really wants to be content.
One moment of doubt leads to looking up a blast from the past and this blast just happens to be DROP dead gorgeous and sexy as sin!
You know we all have the one, the one we think about and just wonder what if, why not?
Daniel is all things Man, all things hot, all things forbidden and APLHA.
This one blast from the blast unleashes a series of events that just simply change the plan of her life.
What happens next.. You must read it.
Is love enough or is it really even love? Life is put on a titled axis and trust me it's a crazy ride. Secrets revealed. WOW!

I felt the emotions coming from the page over and over. I laughed at various points (Her friend is Fab) and trust me we have some serious hot naughty bits to keep us warm.

Bravo Louise Bay I cannot wait to see what you have for us next...
I would like to personally ask for my very own Daniel. Can you work that one out? Pretty please!

This is a beautiful story abut two people who knew each other from school days, they went their own way in life, until Leah reached out to find Daniel again having never forgotten him. When they finally meet, the chemistry is more than they both thought it would be!
This is a lovely story of two people who find the love they both need. Leah has just got to find out if she can heal from the pain of the past that came unexpected in her life.
The story changed toward the end and it wasn't how I thought it was going to go. Daniel with his sexy body and sexy words will make you fall in love with him. Leah is a strong woman who works hard and has a great friend who she can confide in and enjoy a glass of wine with. I loved these parts in the book it shows how strong friendship can be when you need it.
I loved every word that Daniel spoke, how he needed to stand back and show his love for Leah.
Louise has told a story that you will enjoy reading and is beautifully written for her first book.
I will certainly be reading more from Louise Bay.

What a fab read!! The author gave me a free copy for an honest review and I can honestly say I was not disappointed. Faithful was a well developed and planned story and the characters had true depth and more importantly FLAWS!!! Daniel is decidedly masterful and commanding and I love how he calls Leah "head case" in a totally endearing way! Few wee slip ups on typos but was a great read and am anxiously awaiting to know if the next book will be about Anna??

Absolutely loved this book from Louise Bay. I enjoyed many points of this story. With out giving too much away we start off the book with Leah who is in a relationship with Charlie. Unfortunately Leah is feeling a bit unsure of a lot of things. She happens to "catch up" with an old school friend and that is where the book leads us. Daniel is super sexy and dominant but not in a total way that controls the storyline. He has a soft, unsure of himself way and I believe that together him and Leah really work. This story is pretty much what anyone in any day life could have happen to them. You see them grow and the uncertainties on both sides is what a normal couple would feel in real life. There is lots of hot fan yourself sex scenes which to me lead in really well with the story of the intensity of the Leah and Daniel together. To me this was a great romance with a HEA (I know you wanted to know that) I love discovering new authors and I am very happy to have found Louise Bay. Looking really forward to reading more of her work.

The book started off interesting, but about 30% into the story it started to take a nose dive. The main character "Leah" is so irritating it kind of killed it for me. Other things that killed it for me: the cheesy lines, the bad editing and the dumb ending.

I read it in its entirety because I really wanted to give it the benefit of a doubt... But at the end, I was left disappointed.

I’m always a little nervous when I read a new to me author but I love reading new authors and I especially enjoy reading self published authors, so when asked to read Faithful by Louise Bay I was all over it and I’m so glad I took the chance. An emotional roller coaster ride from start to finish, this book has a realism to it that made it easy to get into and impossible to put down.

Leah is successful in her job, has great friends but is struggling in her personal life. In a six year relationship and newly engaged she reconnects with a man she knew in high school and always considered “the one who got away” and begins to question everything.
Right off the bat I liked Daniel although at times he was a little over the top and somewhat possessive. However, I truly believe part of that was guilt over the way his marriage fell apart and he was determined not to go down that path again. Incredibly successful I admired the fact that he understood Leah’s job was important to her just like she understood how important his business was to him.

There was a mutual affection between these two from the first time they reconnected and I admire Leah for not allowing anything to truly happen between them while she was still engaged. Both Leah and Daniel come with a whole lot of baggage so their relationship is fraught with tension and has a lot of ups and downs. Despite that their intimate moments are damn explosive and it is evident they belong together.

There is so much more I’d love to say about this book but I can’t without giving away too much of the plot. So, I will say that Faithful is a fantastic first offering from author Louise Bay and I am really looking forward to what she writes next.

Not recommended for younger readers due to sexual content and language.

I truly enjoyed this book. What I enjoyed most is the fact that this book could truly happen. We have all read books that have aspects that is “out there” so to speak. But not this one. Everything that Leah went through could happen to anyone.

I did feel that she went from the relationship with her fiancé to the relationship with Daniel quite fast, but she finally realized that herself and did what she needed to do. And I respect her character for that. There was a little mystery brought into the book towards the end that was never solved, so that left me wondering “What happened?” This book pulled me in from the beginning and didn't want to let go. You really wanted Leah to have her HEA. I highly recommend this book.

Leah Thompson has everything she thinks she could want. A great job, a circle of fabulous friends and a boyfriend who just proposed. However, as good as everything looks from the outside she feels something is missing. One night feeling nostalgic she tracks down an old high school crush, Daniel Armitage and her comfortable, predicable life is flipped upside down. Daniel is one of London’s most eligible bachelors. Sexy, successful and will stop at nothing to show Leah what exactly she is missing........ Him.
“It would be easier if I stayed away, but it’s not an option. I am not going anywhere” – Daniel
“When you get back, be ready, Leah, because I’m coming for you”- Daniel
This book took a familiar theme, dominate, sexy and wealthy man stopping at nothing to get the woman of his dreams. However, there are twists and turns I never saw coming. Leah surprised me. I found her in the beginning a bit weak and indecisive. However, as the book progressed I found myself liking her. Daniel from the first introduction I was hooked. Sexy, smart, successful and so passionate you have to fan yourself.
“Make no mistake: There is no minute of my day that I don’t want you”- Daniel
The heat level on this book is off the charts. Story wise it is good. The heroine took time to grow on me and there were times I really wanted to jump into the book and smack some sense into her. However, the passion between these two characters was well written and the intensity these two characters share for one another leaps off the pages.

This book started with such promise but I'm afraid it didn't continue.
Leah has just agreed to marry her long time partner- Charlie, but something doesn't feel right in their relationship. While surfing the Internet Leah reconnects with her high school crush Daniel. Daniel is a successful business man who has worked to hard resulting in the end of his marriage. In a twist Leah finds herself nearly single and thrust head first into an intense and passionate relationship with the sexy Daniel.
As said at the beginning I did like the start of this book the story had promise, the middle part was full of sex, which were really hot but there was just a little too much and not enough story for me .
I thought the ending was about to pick up but an event happened that wasn't fully explained and I was left wondering what had happened.
The writing was good and some parts I really enjoyed the story, shame that other parts let it down.

If you want a sassy, sexy as hell, fast paced book....then read the fabulous 'Faithful'
This book is so darn hot, it'll burn the tips of your fingers!! Daniel and Leah are one combustible couple. (Just for the record, there is one particular scene, in the workplace, that is HOOOOOOT!)
I absolutely loved Leah's friend, Anna, that girlie can join me for a night out, any day of the week, she really is a wonderful supporting character.
The lead characters, I loved too. Daniel is every woman's fantasy of a godly alpha and Leah is the woman, you want to hate because she gets to bed Daniel, ALL THE DAMN TIME but love her because she's gorgeously grounded and likeable.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book....you will too!!
I eagerly anticipate the release of Hopeful, more fabness from the very talented Louise Bay.

2 stars. Due to skimming & and sooooooo many proofreading errors.

Cute story but a bit...heavy on the sex scenes. I love a great erotic romance but really describing an all nighter detail by detail can get a bit boring. I skimmed A LOT. I would stop skimming when I saw dialogue. But that was so rare.

The story had a bit of jealousy but not too much which was good.

I also wanted to find out what happened in the long run with the ex and his hussy. Did they workout or not?

I would recommend the author write another version of this book without ALL the unnecessary sex scenes. Unfortunately, I think it would only be 1/4 the length. But at least the proof reading would be better.

It's dull as ditchwater. .
Sorry. I was expecting too much. PLUS, the heroine is a PATHETIC! creature not to mention dumb . She's a lawyer, though I can't "see" or read that she's acting like a lawyer she seems to be. Pweew.

This is the first book I've read from this author and maybe I'll give her a chance. I hope I'll like the others.

I really loved this story. The connection between the main characters made me envious lol I love Daniel and he's now one if my fictional boyfriends :) the sex is hot and there were a couple of characters you'll love to hate! I loved Louise's style of writing and she kept me intrigued throughout. The only thing I will say is there is a scene I wish had been extended, but that is only my view. I knew I was going to enjoy this book from the very first chapter. It was written in a fast pace and it kept me wondering until the end. I loved both main characters and so pleased how it ended. I actually can't wait for the next book to come out. If you're looking for a nice easy romantic read then this is the book. Daniel is adorable and hot with it. It does contain some steamy sex scenes.......loved it.

Wowza...this book was jam packed with a hot, steamy, unadulterated sexual feast. I was frantically fanning myself throughout the majority of this book. Is it hot in here or is it just me? Daniel was a magnificent sex on a stick and I was completely hooked from the beginning. The connection they shared was pretty instant, but completely intense and explosive.

"I want to feel the effects of my cock inside you every time you sit down tomorrow. I want you to smell of me so they won't go near you. I want you to look like you've been fucked all weekend long." -Daniel

Leah seemed to have all her ducks in a row at the beginning of the book. She had just got engaged to the man she had been with for the past 6 years and had a successful career as a lawyer. Everything seemed sparkly perfect from the outside, but everything wasn't as tidy on the inside. Leah was having huge doubts and apprehension about her relationship with Charlie. They had grown distant and she couldn't help but feel defeated. One day, while she scrolled through her social network, she reconnects with her old crush from high school. They begin with friendly banter, but soon their emails flirt with the line of being quite inappropriate. Leah struggles to banish those seemingly unwanted feelings for Daniel that begin to run rampant through her. Her fight soon becomes a needless losing battle, because her world gets turned upside down when she finds out her fiancé has committed the ultimate betrayal. Well this leaves the door wide open for Daniel to swoop in and retrieve his prize he has been desperate to win.

"What I want to say, and am not aging very well, is that what I feel for you is so different from anything else I've ever felt in my life-- I want to posses you, know every inch of you, body and soul. I need to have you permanently naked in my bed. This feeling makes me lose all control. But more than that, I have to have you safe, and I have to have you happy with someone you love and you deserve..." -Daniel

Que long sigh and unavoidable swoon! Daniel makes it his mission to make Leah his, completely. He doesn't want to be the rebound guy used for revenge or to get over her ex. At the same time, he is undeniably desperate to have her. Their relationship moves at warp speed and neither of them really have a moment to look back. While, this may have helped her push past her heart break, it also bypassed the part where she grieved her past relationship. All her feelings were just packed in yet another neat box in the back of her head, which only made her question every detail of their relationship as it occurs and fuels her paranoia. Daniel has to be in New York for 2 months because of huge problems occurring within his company. This becomes the green light to force Leah to finally deal with her feelings, but can she do it while being with Daniel at the same time? Can they survive the pressure from the separation. Will Leah finally get the closure she needs and finally have a clear head to purse her relationship with Daniel wholeheartedly? Well I guess there's only one way to find out.

"Please, Daniel. I need this. We need this. I don't want to be a paranoid head case waiting for us to fail, making us fail. I don't want to doubt you, doubt myself. It's exhausting."

"Whatever you want, Leah. Always." Daniel Slumped back on the sofa, his head tipped back, defeated.

I enjoyed the story and how it progressed. Many people don't dig the insta-forver-love, but I have kind of grown accustomed to it and don't mind it if it is done with the right amount of intensity. And Daniel's possessiveness and unfaltering determination just made it deliciously intense. There is a whole lot of sizzling sex going on in this book. It's like every other page, they are doing it like bunnies in heat. Don't get me wrong, I love me some scorching heated love scenes, but since Leah kept repeating the mantra 'I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop', well I was on the edge of my love seat waiting for that damn dubious shoe to fall. I know she took the time to fix herself in order to avoid that paranoid feeling, but I was still left craving for something to happen. I'm still kind of waiting...I think I may be a bit of a whore for drama lately. Every phone call or every knock on the door had me expecting something big to happen to shake their foundation. There was some last minute mysterious action thrown in there that successfully drew me back in though. That being said, I will be on the look out for the next book to find out what happens for sure. I would definitely recommend this book to my fellow readers who like a sexy possessive male, with lots of sexy passion thrown in there. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Louise's next book entitled, Hopeful. It's sure to be another steamy one, no doubt.

4 Solid Stars!

Leah has been with her boyfriend for 6 years and after giving him an ultimatum, he proposes. But things with Charlie haven't been great in awhile. Truth be told he's a total douche and she just doesn't see it. He works long hours, says out all night, isn't affectionate with her at all and he is clearly getting sex elsewhere because they will go weeks without.
Lonely one night, Leah decides to look up an old crush from high school. Daniel was the one that got away and from her cyber-stalking he seems to have gotten even better with age.

After an intense reunion where the sparks fly, Leah has to decide what and who she really wants for her life. Charlie, who seems to be hiding something and appears more embarrassed of her than anything else or Daniel who wants her from the moment he lays his eyes on her.
When Leah is betrayed by one of these men in the worst way, she must decide how to trust and move on and open her heart again.

“I learned what love was. Real, earth-shattering, heart-stopping, world-changing, love.”

I think Louise Bay did an amazing job with her debut novel. The characters were likable, funny, and well developed. I think the editing was done extremely well (which sometimes with first time authors this isn’t the case) and the story flowed beautifully. I look forward to more from this author!

This is the 2nd book by Louise that I have read & it is another hot romantic read with real life drama & a sprinkle of suspense! ... If you love to read about a lot of hot & steamy 'lovin' then you will want to read this novel ;) ... I loved the story line & this author's style of writing, but personally I would like to have seen more of a relationship build between Leah & Daniel than 'love & sex at first sight' ... but that's just me as I get older ;) ... That being said, there are plenty of twists & turns to keep you guessing & the pages turning :)) ... Unless I missed it, the suspense towards the end had no resolution, so I hope that means Ms. Bay will be writing a sequel with these characters?? ... *hint, hint* ;) ... which I would definitely buy from this awesome new author :) ... This was given to me in exchange for an honest review.

I received this book for an honest review. I absolutely fell in love with this book. You meet Leah who has just gotten engaged to Charlie who she has been with for 6 years. Things have stalled for them both. One an off chance she sends a message to Daniel who she new in school. All of sudden she is thrust into a getting to know you again relationship with Daniel and finding herself flirting and having a crush on him again. While this is going on she finds out that Charlie has been cheating with one of her good friends and ends up getting her pregnant. All of sudden she is single and able to pursue her attraction to Daniel.

I love Louise Bay's books and this was the only book of her that I haven't read.
I can't believe it took me so long to read it and to meet Daniel Armitage.
This author is ruined for other men with these amazing characters.
Daniel is hot, kind, a little bit possessive but the kind of guy you want to be with.
Leah is a great woman who thought that her life was perfect, a great job, a fiancé, a great future.
She doesn't expect that after reconnect with her old crush from high school her life will change forever.
Lovely plot, amazing, hot , sexy scenes. Great story with great characters. Once you start reading it, you can't put it down.
I love Ethan!!!!!!
