He dumped me without a word. Then I gave birth to his secret baby girl… Our love was forbidden, and I raised his baby without him. But suddenly he’s back in my life, kidnapping and trapping me. And now I’m forced to be around the mate who rejected me.
I haven’t seen him in years, and I don’t trust him at all. But he won’t let me leave, even when I want to escape. He makes me stay in his house, even when I hate him. He’s always known exactly how to get to me. And I can’t protect myself.
Tensions are running high, and my body craves release. He explores my curves thoroughly, leaving no question as to who owns them. He reminds me of what we had, leaving no question as to who will win this game. I’m walking a dangerous line, knowing that I could get crushed again…
Can I re-open my heart to my fated mate?
The Rosecreek Special Ops are the strongest, most possessive, and cruelest wolves in living history. They reject their mates, claim them back, and get them pregnant, making one thing they always take what they want.
Hi there! I’m Layla Silver, and I’m so happy to see you here :) I’m a mom of three adorable kids and after all these years, still wildly in love with my awesome and hard-working husband. I LOVE to write about hot shifters, whether Wolves, Bears, or Dragons, who are looking for their mates and will do anything to protect them no matter what comes their way. When I’m not writing or spending time with my family (which is pretty rare, but I’m not complaining!), I like to be in the mountains chasing paranormal dreams.

Basic shifter fated mates I ghosted you without knowing you were pregnant in order to protect you storyline. You've read this story before, only there's probably a lot less shifting and pack dynamics here despite pack dynamics playing a huge part in the story. If you're new to shifter stories, or haven't read them all, this will probably be a higher rating for you.
There's no real rejection here. They didn't know they were mates when he was forced to ghost her, but they were in love. She very much despises him when they run into each other again, and talks about rejecting him while never actually doing it. They both are never with other people or even consider other people in the 9/10 (how many was it again?) years they're separated.
The fully-developed-brain-aged FMC acts like a bratty child for most of the story and refuses to even listen to the MMC. The MMC hardly even tries to apologize or explain himself (though he feels horribly) until the story is ready for them to get back together because it was such a miscommunication issue that she forgives him practically immediately upon hearing what happened.
The daughter acts younger than her age implies, as does the other character a year younger than her. The adults also interact with and treat her as younger than she's supposed to be. Or maybe the multiple people in my life that are this age are incredibly mature for ages...
Multiple instances of the wrong character name being typed in for the wrong character, among other things. Needed better editing.

This series is amazing and I am loving it! The latest chapter in the saga is the story of Bigby and Rosa and it’s quite the tale! They dated in college until one day, he vanished. She’s been angry ever since but is on the run, hiding from her father, a brutal Alpha. They will meet again when Bigby is sent to California to get a woman and her child who are in danger, not knowing it’s Rosa. Or that he has a daughter. Things are very tense between the two and it takes quite a bit of time before he gets the chance to tell her exactly what happened the night he left. There is trouble with humans disappearing, her father trying to find her and I love how the whole team works together to care for each other. We get to see the return of one we thought lost and see Rosa and Bigby finally get their happily ever after surrounded by the ones they love.
Layla is a brilliant storyteller and I can’t wait to read what she comes up with next!
I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.
Some spoilers***Rosa and Bigby met up during college but he left one night without saying goodbye or even the fact that he was leaving. Rosa was going to share her news with him that night, but never got a chance and had to raise their daughter on her own, running from her father, with only her friend Olivia to help her. Now she is in danger again from her father, and Bigby is determined to protect her this time. *** This is a great read: Rosa is stronger than she realises and being a mother has homed that strength; Bigby has regrets but feels he had good reasons for what he did, if Rosa will just let him explain. Really enjoying this series, bring on the next book! I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC copy of the book.
Lovers to enemies back to lovers. It just took long enough to get there. There was a great plot, so I kept going. It was just crazy that the book was at over 50%, and she hadn't even talked to him about the issues. There was also never a clear moment in the book when Kalia acknowledged him as he father. They just sort of danced around it. Even though the reconciliation took way longer than it should, the ending wasn't rushed. It still had a good story to it. Just was a touch irritating.
Damn!! Her dad is such a asshole that needs 2 b put down stat!! Things happened yrs ago cause of him and she always wondered about what could b the possible truth. He left but never it wasn't 4 what she thought. Can 2 broken hearts work out and make amends 2 each other and make things rt again b4 it's 2 late? There was a few surprises!!
Good book. Story was interesting. MMC, Bigby, is a huge, muscular, hot wolf shifter, tasked to pick up his ex-girlfriend, FMC. She's in trouble. Her dad is psycho and after her. She's been in hiding from him for years. When FMC sees her ex she refuses to go with him. He hurt her so bad when he left her. She never knew the reason and figured he found out she was pregnant, freaked out and left. He never knew about his baby. Her father threatened FMC, her mom, friends, everyone she cared about if Bigby didn't leave. So he left. I loved all the characters. Some old ones and new ones were in this book. A surprise from book one happens too. I can't wait to read the next book.
Layla Silver dad a good job with the second book in this Rosecreek Special Ops series. It had over again a lot of suspense and action. And of course a HEA was well. Can't wait two reads the next in this series.
If you like romance and suspenseful moments this is the book for you. Layla has done a great job again pulling you into the Rosecreek pack. Don’t miss it.
Storyline was good but not sure who edited this one. The first in the series was very well done. This one could use some more work. Typos, wrong words used and at one point even mixing up character names to the point that one was pulling herself aside for a conversation. Loved the story though.
Running from an evil alpha who only cares about amassing more power for himself is hard .. when the alpha is your own father it is even worse! Great story!
