i’m not going to lie, this book was not good. I don’t think that I will be purchasing the second one and I’m kind of upset to think about the fact i paid my real money to read this book. This book comes across as a book to read on Wattpad. It seems very immature, has many grammatical errors, hard to follow along, and not to mention the time jumps in this book are confusing along with gaps in the chapters where moving from one chapter to the next doesn’t make sense because you feel like you’re missing such a huge chunk of information.
The ending came out of nowhere, made no sense, and just leaves me more confused than ever? The MMC is confessing his love and then start to berate the FMC on how she cant love people properly… huh? Overall im very disappointed. Also the FMC’s attitude pissed me off for the entirety of the book. Shes very judgmental, acts like shes better than others, and tries to kill the MMC knowing he was allergic to cats… im just at a loss for words. I wanted to love this book SO bad.

Holy moly man, I just finished Chasing a starlight and I'm officially a fan of this author, I'm sat for anything she has coming out so I'm excited for this one!!! I can taste how good it's gonna be. Finna tell my kids this was the hunger games or something. 10/10
DNF at 35% This was just hard to get into. It was lowkey giving Wattpad and not in a good way (no disrespect tho). It had a lot of grammar and capitalization errors. The story was hard to follow along, because of the time jumps. Every time you finish a chapter it will jump from one point in the story to another which was real confusing. You’d feel like you just missed a huge bit of information.
I didn’t like either of the main love interests so it was very hard to connect with the story and characters. Marion was annoying and came off pretty rude at times. Akeno was just flat out boring to me, a military guy with a lot of trauma. He just didn’t do it for me.
This book was for me but thank you Tamisha Kuenee for a physical copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
oh my goodness!!! What an emotional roller coaster and experience this book was!! I loved reading this book with all my heart and I wish I could read it for the first time again 🥹 Thank you so so much for the arc I’m so so grateful for it (just know this is definitely one of my favorite reads!) This book was written so beautifully and all of the words and storytelling flowed so smoothly. Marion and Akeno have my heart. Oh my goodness they were actually everything!!! The way Akeno was already head over heels for Marion when he first saw her and throughout the story he end up falling 🥹 Their tension and banter throughout the story was everything!!! The twists and turns throughout this book will have you wanting to turn the page and see what would happen next. Also the angst in this book was so so good and definitely added to the emotional rollercoaster. The ending also left me sobbing so make sure to keep tissues with you while reading! I will not be spoiling the book so you will just have to find out what happened by reading it 🤭 also I would like to add that this book was not always sunshine and rainbows at some parts but it adds to the plot and the characters stories!
So so good. So many plot twists I did not expect; so many layers; so many emotions. This book overwhelmed me in the best way! But Tamisha, COUNT YOUR DAYS. I AM COMING FOR YOU WOMAN. YOU DO NOT GET TO CAUSE THIS MUCH EMOTIONAL DAMAGE FREELY.
Anyways, add this to your tbr rn😌🫶
Thank you so much for reaching out to me! I'm so glad and honored to have had the opportunity to beta read this book!💜
Never in my life have i been fully engulfed in a book before. I took my time reading this, pacing myself, because i knew there would be heartache in the end. I can say with full certainty that Tamisha Kuenee does a wonderful job at telling a story. The atmospheres created, the emotions of the characters being displayed, i loved this book so much and I’m glad i took my time.
I want too see how the characters will handle their grief, if their will be misunderstandings or proper communication. I want to know what was going through Akenos head in this final chapter and I want Ms.Kuenee to pay for my next to therapy sessions while i recover from this book. Well done author. You set out to tell a story about two people who’ve never been loved properly and with time i hope this story can be about two people who love themselves who then can love each other. In the meantime i wont be rereading this unless i feel like i need some hardships in life but thank you so much for this introduction to Spring fever.
Thank you so much to the author for gifting me an ARC! I just wanted to say how much I loved the book. A bodyguard x ballerina romance? Count me in! I was intrigued from the moment I first saw the cover on my Instagram feed, and I completely fell in love with the story. I'm incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to review an ARC and read the book early.
Marion and Akeno's relationship started off slow, but it gradually blossomed into a beautiful love story. I thoroughly enjoyed the author's writing, especially the way she described the characters' emotions. I was captivated by the story, but that ending—wow, it was brutal!
Thank you again for the opportunity to read this incredible book!
*Slight spoilers ahead* I was very surprised by this book. At first, it was hard for me because it was written in such a monotone voice. But then you discover that she is writing from the character's emotional state, which really impressed me. I was truly a fan of Akeno's character and Marion's gradual relationship. It was nice to see that both of them did not know what intimacy looked like or meant but made their own definition along the way. The love confessions in this book had me smiling ear to ear and I cannot wait for the next book!! The only reason this was not a five is because the ending felt very rushed and their parting did not make sense to me, although I know it will probably be explained in the next book.
About the book: This was truly a 5 out of 5 stars read. It was so well-written! Honestly, I’m not usually a fan of slow-burn romance, but this was absolutely perfect. It was such a joy to read. I finished the book in two days. While there wasn’t a lot of smut, the parts that were there were spot on and always fit perfectly. I’m really curious to see how the second part turns out. I hope they get their well-deserved happy ending—both of them truly deserve it. And I hope she shares her miscarriage experience while dealing with her own grief. Just amazing. I think this is one of the best books I’ve ever read. Never stop writing!

The build up of Akeno and Marion was amazing! I loved how although they both felt somewhat of a connection early on they were able to become comfortable with each other and have an even deeper connection towards the end. The way the author writes the feelings that Akeno and Marion both have for each is just beautiful😫 and their own personal struggles, you can’t help but feel it so deeply. THE END THO OMG I NEED THE NEXT BOOK ASAP
Thank you so much Tamisha Kuenee for giving me the opportunity to read an Arc of Inhalers and Bruises
an out of the norm romance book that I need more of!
There were so many cute moments in the book, I love Akeno so much. But the things he said to Marion towards the end.. 😶 did you really have to go THAT far? I feel like there was a lot of things that could’ve been talked about or explained more and some things that the book could’ve gone without. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it. It was overly long for it to end how it did. TOO MANY THINGS UNANSWERED! book 2 is in the works, and knowing that put me a little more at ease.
Honestly, not bad. There were so many errors (capitalization for example) and some of it was messy, but if the author gets an editor to fix it and tweak some stuff i’d definitely buy the hard copy. I’ll be reading book 2 because there were a lot of unanswered questions which the author mentioned at the end but i love the characters overall
The storyline was great! 7/10 for that because the end felt very rushed and I got lost in the sauce but irregardless, I enjoyed it. I docked 2 stars because it needs some editing to fix some grammatical errors and gaps in the book but overall a pretty decent and entertaining reading experience! Good to binge if you want something to read on a rainy day and like romance.
I had faith in this book, but the ending felt rushed and mushed. A lot of grammatical errors, but I looked past it. It has many twists and plots, leaving a lot left unanswered and the fact that the main male lead professed his love and then two or three chapters later is all the sudden leaving her…like make it make sense…
MISS GIRL HOW COULD YOU. This book was literally healing me, NOW WE ARE ALL IN SHAMBLES. I cannot wait for the next one to come out. Their connection is top tier, I fear I ate it up. TAMISHA GIRL YOU ATE THAT UP TOO
i never dnf a book but this is the first. i dont mind a slow book but i cant stand the writing in this, its just not my style + the amount of grammar errors is really throwing me off. this plot sounds really good but just isnt for me.
“Our story soaked up the moonlight. We were doomed for a violent end from the beginning — our stolen kisses were our infinite mistakes.” dont talk to me. I didn’t expect this ending now I have to wait impatiently for the second book I’m actually hurt my GOD!!
There were grammatical errors which could easily be fixed if it were to be re-edited. I normally don’t read slow burns cause they’re not for me but I loved the little intricate details in each chapter, the flip from her POV to his; it was really nice to see.
I can see why people DNF’d it but I personally loved it and can’t wait for book two!!
I would also love to see more of Jen and Davi’s little love story and how they hit it off. It would be nice to see their perspective of everything. I also need more of Astor, Bridget, & Marion!

Ummm , what was that ending ???!!!! Tamisha I need book two right now 😭😭why would you leave me on such a heartbreaking cliffhanger??? So at first ngl this book felt unnecessary long because around the middle it felt very repetitive, like the main characters kept going back and forth for no reason , yes I understand Marion had trust issues but damn girl make up your mind already but tbh with ending I don’t even blame her because huh??? Akeno needs to carry his traumatized ass to therapy cause a lot of his actions were very questionable and I was really happy with how they just brushed over one of the major conflicts they had without having a proper adult conversation about it. And lastly I’m ngl I dislike Davi , he is a horrible friend in my opinion, I wouldn’t even consider him a friend , he is more of a horrible colleague in my opinion. But to end this review , I still don’t believe that romance books have any business being more than 300 pages at most but this was a very good book and I can’t wait for book two
