This book has all the attributes of a hot mafia romance with a generous helping of mafia action and danger thrown in. Antonio and Isabella were in an arranged marriage, when Bella made a huge mistake resulting in Antonio getting injured and she has subsequently been living in her own. A year down the line and Bella kills one of Antonio's men when he attempts to rape her. Antonio and his brothers come to her rescue and Antonio decides its time get the truth from Bella of what really happened a year ago and to make Bella his wife again.
And cue the action, Antonio takes his belt out to Bella, which turns into some scorching hot scenes between them. But, Bella still doesn't reveal the truth of that night to him. Whilst Antonio and Bella get reacquainted, the family of the man Bella killed are asking where he is. Antonio's youngest brother, Gio, gets shot and whilst the family are in the hospital waiting to see how Gio is, Antonio's mum finds comfort in the arms of the head of Russian Bratva. Then of course the body of the man Bella killed is found.
Whilst Antonio and Bella try and put their marriage back together, building the trust they badly need will take time. But with the threats all around them, Antonio and Bella must carefully navigate around them together or face the consequence. As much as I enjoyed this book, the very abrupt ending, and super quick resolutions to the ongoing threads left me wanting more. We get snippets of what happened a year ago, but not the full story. Gio's shooter, solved just like that. Mum and Bratva also sorted extremely fast, which was just well as they had to help Antonio with the fallout of the !and body being found. But again the speed of resolving that issue was lightening speed. So much more could have been made of all these threads and really heightened Antonio and Bella's journey, making both of them put so much into rebuilding trust between them and strengthening their relationship from more than just scorching hot bedroom scenes.
And cue the action, Antonio takes his belt out to Bella, which turns into some scorching hot scenes between them. But, Bella still doesn't reveal the truth of that night to him. His to Hold is the 3rd Book of The Reluctant Vows. This is Antonio and Isabella's story and an arranged marriage romance. Antonio is the oldest son and Don of the Volante Family. In the beginning Isabella was friends to Antonio's brother Matteo, then Antonio started noticing her. Antonio then took Isabella as his wife. Isabella later did something unexpected that she did by mistake and Antonio exiled her to live at another property away from him. They have been apart for about a year, now.
While Isabella is living away, Rico Mancini is assigned as her bodyguard. Antonio didn't know what had been happening with Isabella. She was alone and had to defend herself. After this traumatic experience that Isabella has went through, Antonio takes her away for a few days. This will give them a chance to spend time together. This book has action, violence, danger, desire and steamy scenes.

Ok now we are going to find out what really happened with Antonio and Isabella. If you read, “His to Break” you know what happened during Leo and Vinnie’s wedding. Bella killed her guard. Leo rushed to find out what happened. We pick up right from there. Her guard, Rico isn’t all that great either. Rico was a piece of work. Now the Volante Family has to pull together and protect her from the Mancini’s. Antonio shows no love for her and I was disappointed in him. He seemed not to care about the whys. He just wanted her locked away. I felt for Bella. She wanted to tell him about what happened a year ago but just can’t. When we do learn what happens, I was surprised. I mean I figured it had to be something like that. But that just leaves us wondering. I love that Mama Volante has found happiness too. Ok it is a bit rocky for the boys but never make Mama mad. There are some unanswered questions. And we also have a deal struck with the Bratva Reznov. Looking forward to finding out what happens next.

Betrayal. Trust or lack of. Revenge. Passion. This book has it all. All the hallmarks of a a dark mafia romance. This book continues with the overarching story of the Volante family. Antonio, as head of the family, rules with his head and ignores what his heart is telling him. He believes the worst of his wife even though his passion for her burns bright. Can he get past the betrayal? Can he forgive?
This is a well written, fast paced story and is full of passion, anger and danger. Very enjoyable for sure. I have already read the 2nd book in this series but have now bought the first book to read. I look forward to reading the next Volante brothers' story.

This is Antonio and Isabella’s book. I really enjoyed the intricacy and the back story that we finally learn about regarding this couple.
Isabella has been sent away for a year because it’s believed she betrayed Antonio and wanted him dead.
This plot was referenced in the previous two books in the reluctant vows series.
This was a well written,well developed book. My only disappointment was that the book had a rather abrupt ending. Wished we could have had more in depth conclusion.
I am enjoying this series. It sounds like Olivia will be the next book, with a handsome Piotr on her trail.

The 3rd book in the series. While it can be read a standalone, it's more enjoyable if you read the first two books before ,but it's still doable. Antonio is the oldest among the brothers and the family head. This is his story. Isabella is his wife and their story run in a Rollercoaster of emotions, hurt feelings & stubbornness. Good writing that keep you holding your breath for the entire story. Enjoyable!.

They had Wed, Antonio and Isabella, they thought the secrets may stay hidden, but when they do come out Antonio doesn't look at Isabella he would Leaves for periods of time until the bodyguard incident.

As with all mafia stories, this one is full of danger, violence, a few surprises along with romance added in, which makes for great reading. Antonio and Isabella are two strong individuals who will have their HEA but a lot happens before that comes about. It’s a great read, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.

Great story.
I believe this book is the last in the series . But I'm really looking forward to the other brothers n olivea story's. Mafia romance is one of my favorite genres. N this author down not disappointe. There are a few editing errors, but otherwise, it's a good book. I don't know which brother i like the best because, so far, all the stories in this series have been great. HEAs

excellent series
This is probably my favorite Sassa Daniels series. Excellent H & h. Love that the secondary characters flow in & out of each book. And has a perfect amount of plot, story, steam & action.

Loved reading this
This is book 3 and it's such an exciting and emotional book to read. The series just gets better and better and its certainly not boring or predictable and no cliff hangers either. It leaves you wanting more to read about this family. Can't wait to read more xx

This is quite the story. Great characters, good plot, and the way the story is brought to life is pretty incredible. I have never read about these characters before, but it felt like I already knew them all and their personalities.

Best read of the series. I like that he trusted his instincts about her and didn’t just pass judgement. They had great chemistry and the spicy scenes were really good. Action and romance a good combination.

She does something that Antonio has to cover-up or they be war.It forces the married couple together, Antonio is so pigheaded that he thinks he is always right and everything has to go his way or else! This story has alot of action,some good points and some bad,I hope there is more to story,like Olivia,Matteo and Gio since they are going in opposite different directions in life!
