Rate this book
Golden Boy is a steamy, messy, new adult romance saga that includes the following individual

-When You're Home
-While You're There
-When You're Home for the Holidays
-When You're Gone

A soul-deep connection.
An unconventional relationship with peculiar conditions.
One unforgettable weekend that changes everything, forever.

Victoria Thompson knows exactly what she wants in to finish her graphic design degree so she can land a full-time job with benefits, to spend her free time painting when she’s not working alongside her best friends at Clinton’s Family Restaurant, and to continue her no-strings-attached relationship with her ex-boyfriend without letting him get too close.

She knows that loving Rhett—her favorite person, her best friend since childhood, her steady and devoted golden boy— means letting him go eventually. But she’s not ready to let him go yet.

Her proposed arrangement is simple. They can be friends-with-benefits when he’s home in Hampton, Ohio as long as he promises to date other people when he’s back at school.

Everhett Wheeler is a man with a detailed graduate with his MBA, then move to Virginia to take his rightful place in the executive suite at his grandad’s company. He’s calculated, confident, and self-assured. The one thing he can’t predict is what will happen to his relationship with Tori once he moves away for good.

He has always wanted more, and she knows it. But in a battle of wills, she always wins.

After an unplanned weekend together, Tori and Rhett start to question whether the arrangement they’ve relied on for the last three years is too much or just not enough. Is it time to go their separate ways? Do they have the courage to commit to a real relationship? Or will a series of surprise visits, soul-crushing lies, and unexpected news tear them apart before they can even try?

Golden Boy is an omnibus collection following the same couple, Tori and Rhett. This steamy, messy, new adult romance includes content that some romance readers may despise, including cheating, other woman drama, other man drama, and more. A full list of tropes and tags can be found on the author's website.

Abby Millsaps is an author and storyteller who's been obsessed with writing romance since middle school. In eighth grade, she failed to qualify for the Power of the Pen State Championships because all her submissions contained the same theme: young people falling in love. #LookAtHerNow

She's best known for writing unapologetically angsty romance that causes emotional damage for her readers. Abby prides herself in writing authentic characters while weaving mental health, chronic illness, and neurodiverse representation into the fabric of her stories.

Abby met her husband at a house party the summer before her freshman year of college. He had a secret pizza stashed in the trunk of his car that he was saving for a midnight snack—how was she supposed to resist that level of golden retriever energy and preparedness? When Abby isn't writing, she's reading, traveling, and raising her three daughters.

So I started this series with Fourth Wheel, which I give 5 stars btw. I fell in love with Fieldings broken character. So I read his book, also loved it. I wanted to read the first to get the full story. I wish I didn’t. I could not stand Tori…..at all! She had issues, yes, but her biggest issue was that she was selfish. Loved Rhett, though not perfect, but real. He gave Tori too much forgiveness over the years. When it mattered she didn’t have his back. That made me hate her character.
