I thought I had my life under control.

There’s an interesting story in there.
Faven the second daughter to the head of a female run syndicate is living her life when in one night her whole world is flipped upside down.
I liked the premise and the characters but I think the story needed some fine tuning. This is almost 500 pages and once we get to where things are getting interesting, the book ends. I realize this is a trilogy but with an epilogue that’s years into the future I kind of felt like I didn’t NEED to see what happens next because the get a HEA. Also the preview for the next book then takes us back to where the story left off.
I wanted to see more of Faven really owning who she is. Maybe she will in later books but she never did anything strategic. I liked the scene with Ayala but Henrik’s reaction and the way he handled it was kind of annoying.
This definitely needed a few more rounds of editing to clean up sentences, different fonts, etc.
For a debut novel I think there is a lot of good things here and with time this author will have some really interesting stories. Give this one a try!

Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
It took me longer than to expected to read this and it was only because so much going on but that’s mot important
Let’s gets into this.
I loved the idea of the story. Faven is a bad ass bitch and I love me a bad ass FMC! Henrik he was interesting I like his character too.
The only thing that took me out of the story was the fact that it was a second chance and I felt like the FMC and MMC connected way to soon. I love a slow burn, I like when things are sizzling and the tension is so high that it boiled over the damn pot.
So when the spice comes it’s overwhelming for me because it’s been happening already 😂😂😂 that’s my only preference. But I do love spice so this book very much cleansed my palette like a good drink.
I would say…saysha and ivor. God I wanted, no bitch, needed!
I NEEDED More of them I felt like that brightened the book with more drama and TENSION. I’m such a slore for drama.

An emotional, action-packed ride!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The idea of a women-led syndicate hooked me in, but the emotional rollercoaster kept me on board.
The characters were fleshed out extremely well, and they complimented each other so well. The friendships between the women was so strong. Saysha and Faven were an awesome duo. I loved how Saysha was down for Faven no matter what!
The romance between Hendrik and Faven was well-done. I appreciated Henrik’s ability to adapt himself into whatever Faven needed at that moment.
I really enjoyed the plot twists near the end as well - they definitely caught me off guard. These and the hints at the other potential couples in the series and made me look forward to reading the next installment.
Overall, this was a great debut! I can’t wait to see what Tash writes next!

I absolutely loved this story!! Faven & Henrik’s relationship was so consuming. I loved reading from Henrik’s point of view the most. This was a great first book to the series and entirely not what I expected and I absolutely loved the use of different languages throughout the book.
I did feel like the chapter before the epilogue was kind of abrupt. I just wasn’t expecting it to be the end when I read “The end”, but I do look forward to the next book!
Overall, I can get behind a woman run syndicate any day 🤣

This dark romance book follows Henrik and Faven as they fight through and for the syndicate. This book is sooo good!! If you love angst, secrets, and tension THIS is the book for you! Seriously loved this book!!

I enjoyed this read a lot.. the characters were great! We all need a friend group like them.. but that damn Fin was one of my favorites.. I’m looking forward to the next book.

This was an amazing book. I love it from start to finish. I love how Faven grew into the woman she needed to be to avenge her family as well as to take over her family's crime syndicate. There were so many twists and turns that keep you hooked. Throughout everything Faven went through Henrik was right by her side. Henrik is perfection! He's dark, possessive, completely obsessed with Faven, so dominant, and yet so caring at the same time. Plus the man has a filthy mouth and all the equipment needs to back up everything he says.

Excited for more
We need more black authors in this dark erotic genre. This debut novel was absolutely great. The pace was good and had me hooked from the first page. Action packed and suspense were through out. I felt as if I was in a new world with these character and the smut was what I loved. Henrik bde and raven together were a psycho pair match made in heaven. The family and friends of raven and Henrico brought their own special crazy as well. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

just read it!
This book was well written and was my first dark romance, I think. The ending didn’t leave with a cliff hanger and had a perfect amount of story lines for a series. The author took her time with this one because these different languages Norwegian and some others 😉 and there is a list of all the meanings in the front. Anywho the MMC goes away and comes back to his first love but on a mission to make her let out her true self for her new life that she is thrown into. The FMC comes from a long line of women who run what they call the syndicate. Great story and I can’t wait to see what’s next in the series because it ended shocking and well. Happy reading

CAME OUT SWINGING!!!!
This book wastes no time getting to the good stuff, it's ok and popping from page ONE. Faven and Henrik's relationship is so intense and passionate you can practically see the heat rising from the pages. I also loved the fact that they are an unhinged couple. Henrik fully supports every side of Faven and that's rare to see in dark romance. I also loved how this book explored grief, even though I hated seeing my girl go through that. Overall a ten out of ten and I can't wait to read the next one. GO READ IT!

Damnnnnn THIS BOOK IS LIFE
OMG this entire story was excellent from start to finish..HOWEVER, ONE THING really messed it up was the lack of editing. Sis, your story is amazing and I could not put it down. However, you need to fire your editor and get a new one. The grammatical errors really hindered the enjoyment of the story and negatively reflected on your writing. Please do better with this.

First time reading from this author and she took me on an emotional ride that I was not ready for. We got Faven trying to not let the darkness inside win but her boo Henrik already became one with his darker half that he enjoys the chaos he causes. So we have a FMC learning to except all of herself while grieving her family,that she later finds out that her “dad” is the reason for it. Like this book will have you in a chokehold and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I was intrigued the whole time!
Held my attention as it’s filled with intrigue and romance .
The details of the book require attention as quite a few caste of characters.
I definitely agree with other reviews that some additional editing is needed that would tighten the story line. Would help a lot especially if it’s an audio book.
