Ivy Burke’s life in Atlanta has hit a wall. When she unexpectedly loses her job, she seizes the chance to embark on a journey to Ireland, seeking solace and a deeper connection to her family's roots. Her the quaint, mist-covered village of Kinvarra, where her cousin Colm welcomes her with open arms.
But Ireland holds more than the charm of ancient ruins and rolling green hills. As Ivy delves into her ancestral past, she begins to sense a dark presence shadowing her every move. What begins as subtle unease soon spirals into chilling encounters that hint at long-buried secrets and a malevolent force that has been waiting for her arrival.
Great read! Ivy and Colm are two believable, well-written characters that are easy to connect with. I really loved the story, but it ended far too quickly—I’d happily read this as a full novel. Here’s hoping the author expands it!
I love it when the predictable tropes aren’t followed! While it starts like a contemporary fiction read, this one turns creepy in an unexpected way. Then it has the suspense to keep you reading.
