Ava Bellerose may use men to charge up her healing magic, but that doesn’t mean she wants to date one.
She’s fine living life as a single witch working a day job as a college librarian and spending nights as the masked performer Pearl at The Jewelry Box. Every routine on the stage means more magic power in the bank, courtesy of the customers craving her body. One man in particular can’t seem to get enough. Ava finds perverse pleasure in ignoring his money and denying him anything more than a distant dance with zero eye contact. His admiration is intoxicating and the magical boost is all she needs from him. But the guy becomes impossible to ignore when he shows up outside of her apartment.
Their meeting must be fate…
Sammy Reyes can’t believe his luck. While visiting a new build site for work, he spots a heart-shaped behind and a pouty set of lips he’d recognize anywhere. Unfortunately, Pearl–or Ava–seems less than enthused to have her secret identity revealed, even if he promises to take her secret to a watery grave. From her hostile greeting, the gorgeous witch might be the one to bury him at the bottom of the Mariana Trench. But Sammy has spent his whole life charming people, and he’s determined to prove himself as more than a faceless fuel tank of lust. Especially when Ava makes it abundantly clear his money has no sway on her affections.
To woo the librarian, the water elemental will have to dive deeper than his normal surface-level charisma. But just as Sammy starts to show the vulnerable heart behind his confident mask, Ava’s two lives collide in the worst way. Can she risk stepping out from behind her own protective walls, or will she leave him wanting?
Lauren Connolly is an award-winning author of contemporary and magical romance stories. She’s lived among mountains, next to lakes, and in imaginary worlds. Lauren can never seem to stay in one place for too long, but trust that wherever she’s residing there is a dog who thinks he’s a troll, twin cats hiding in the couch, and bookshelves bursting with stories written by the authors she loves.
This was cute and I'm so happy it didn't have a 3rd act breakup or \stupid drama. I like that he falls first but the setting was offputting. He's a "playboy" who went to a strip club with his gross friends. Somehow he changes after that first time a year ago. It's hard to understand the impetus for his change. Was it because he fell in love with the heroine (a volunteer stripper)? Or because he got tired of people mooching off of him? Or? I couldn't really tell... but he hasn't been sleeping with everyone around him anymore and that's good.
She's a college librarian who is also part succubus so she needs lust energy to use her magic. It was a pretty good reason for her to be stripping but I'm not a huge fan of books being set with strippers. It's always a bit icky that the dude was coming for any random woman and "fell in love" with someone who makes him horny.
I don't know how the author did it, but she made the story work for me. I love that he falls first and she doesn't need his money of expensive gifts... but he wins her over with a kitten. Wouldn't work for me (allergies), but it works for her and that was cute. The cate was called Kraken cause she loves the water. Super adorable.
Safety deets - Heroine has negative motivation cause she doesn't want to count on a man... thankfully, the author didn't make this a pivotal part of the story and there is no drama/pulling away related to this. - The hero has a manwhore past and we learn that he slept with a woman who was the heroine of the first book in this series. It was such an unnecessary detail and super gross that they're talking about it in the book. Not my favorite. - They're solidly together... but it kinda feels like a happy for now rather than an HEA but this series is likely to include them in future books as side characters. - There's a setup that I was afraid would lead to terrible drama. She works at a college with a morality clause in her contract and she's volunteering as a stripper to get her succubus needs met. I was afraid this would come out as a huge deal. Thankfully, our heroine gets to keep her dignity and tell people where to shove it rather than be humiliated. That was satisfying!
So... it was cute, but also had a lot of unnecessary stuff that didn't add to the story and took away from complete awesomeness.

Ava, the female librarian witch lead, is a healing witch with succubus heritage and a chronic health problem. She strips for a living because people desiring her refills her magic stores, which she uses to keep her health stable. Her most effective refill comes from Sammy, the male water elemental lead and rich “playboy”. Sammy is intrigued and entranced by Ava, particularly the part where she won’t engage with him (or anybody) whilst on stage. When he finds her in real life outside the strip club, she’s even less interested, concerned he’s a weird creeper.
Sammy is certain that he’s unloveable except for his money. Ava is disinterested in his gifts and seems to scorn his advances. He’s trying to work out if he can offer her anything but she doesn’t want to be dependent on him for her health needs either…
This story is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, contemporary fantasy romance. I appreciated Sammy’s awareness of his historical faults and the effort he was exerting to fix them. I LOVED that he had a therapist and that getting mental health help was normalised. I enjoyed Sammy’s genuine and devoted care for Ava, including his willingness to give her space when she expressed uncertainty over his presence and motives. I enjoyed Ava’s confidence in who she was and empathised with her determination to maintain multiple sources of energy intake. I enjoyed her confidence in their relationship and her willingness to push Sammy and take control. I enjoyed her growing awareness of what she needed to accept from her job and her willingness to push back against unreasonable demands, and I enjoyed Sammy’s encouragement of this. I enjoyed the relationship development and the steamy intimate scenes with Ava leading. I enjoyed the integrated secondary characters, and the importance of the family of choice to both characters. I enjoyed the ending and the relationship balance.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
I love this series so very much. I adore every chance we get to learn about these characters and the world they live in. And I loved that we got to know who the real Sammy was behind that fun-loving exterior. Ava was not at all what I was expecting to catch and hold Sammy’s attention, but it makes perfect sense. I adored the way these two pushed each other to be their very best selves and they were the first in line to call each other out when they were lying to themselves. Now that we’ve seen one more pair matched up, I’m dying to discover what the author has up her sleeve for the next ones. I received a complimentary advance copy of this book through Booksprout.
Every woman needs a Sammy I enjoyed this story so much and especially loved Sammy. An adorable man who lacks confidence and hides behind humour. He has eyes for only one woman and is so desperate for her love that he is regularly second guessing himself. He tries so hard and opens himself up for hurt whilst trying to woo Ava. Ava comes across as so confident whilst in her work life, but her personal life is a different matter. She hides a side of herself from others but is refreshing honest with Sammy. Can both Ava and Sammy trust their growing feelings for each other? Will they be able to let their guards down so that they both get to see each other’s true self? Or will Ava walk away and be afraid to commit? This is the third book in the Casual Magic series. This sweet and at times steamy story introduces us again to the much loved characters we met in previous books, who just so happen to be Sammy’s friends and family. A great continuation of the story in this town with a possibility of new a relationship hinted at. Looking forward to reading more in this series in the future.
This is Book 3 of the series. However, if you haven't read the other 2 like me, don't worry it can completely be read as a stand-alone, I will be going back to read the others in this series as I loved this one!
I enjoyed getting know our magical characters and our 2 main characters for this book Sammy a Playboy, elemental squid, architect who will do anything to get Ava to take notice of him, and then Ava, our Sassy/strong Succubus witch, librarian and magical dancer! I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop, and change as the book went on and learned to trust each other, and how the friend group is there for each other.
I loved connollys style of writing as the chemistry between the characters jumped off the pages. So if you are looking for a fluffy paranormal romance read, with plenty of spicy 🔥 scenes, give this series a chance you won't be disappointed
Despite this being book 3 in a series that I hadn't read, it's completely standalone. There's a magical group of friends and family, and the series appears to focus on a different person each time. This time was the turn of Sammy, an elemental squid who falls for a suck-witch called Ava. Sammy surrounds Ava with his tentacles and won't let go (not literally, he's not a real squid), and I definitely wouldn't mind being tentacled by Sammy myself! Ava is a librarian, so there's lots for a book-lover to fall in love with here. Including a custom library, yup, Sammy is that good! I loved the sass and snark from Ava, and when her walls began crumbling, she realised she didn't need to handle everything solo. Same for Sammy, he goes through his own journey of realising people can love Jim for who he is inside, and not the flashiness of his exterior. There's also a cute kitten, Kraken, who wouldn't fall for a man who gifts her a kitten! There's spicy scenes galore 🔥 and it was HOT! I honestly can't find anything negative to say, I really enjoyed the book and loom forward to reading more by the author.
So fucking cute, I love them. Sammy is the most adorable. I love that the two of them were both falling so hard and so worried about hurting the other. They made me so happy. And the spicy scenes were hot, even though I’m not a big fan of “good boy” or her taking charge.
✨If you read the first two books in the series, you might remember a certain squid that's a little too cocky ... Don't worry. Sammy is about to learn that not everything comes easily, especially not the love of his life!
✨ Healing Magic & Playboys is a standalone romance in a series of interconnected books. You can read in whatever order you'd like!

Arc review This book was alright. I got a bit confused with the whole lust magic but we got there. I liked their dynamic and they're little meet cutes were so funny
I loved it. Sammy is a funny guy, and Ava is a confident woman who isn't afraid to ask for what she wants. There were a lot of funny moments, and also emotional ones. This is a fluffy, cozy paranormal RomCom, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked all the cameos from the rest of the characters from the Casual Magic series, though I wish there was more Raphael. I loved the dynamic between him and Sammy. I also want to know more about this dungeon Sammy is designing, and I would like to get Harley's story.
"Healing Magic and Playboys” introduces readers to a unique blend of contemporary and paranormal romance, centered around a female librarian who moonlights as a witch and a magical dancer ✨. The dynamic between the main character Ava and Sammy, a character grappling with self-worth issues, adds layers of depth to their evolving relationship. What sets this book apart is the refreshing portrayal of a male lead who is genuinely caring and supportive, serving as a beacon of positivity for the main character, Ava.
I particularly appreciated the representation of health issues in the narrative, shedding light on a topic often overlooked in literature. The author skillfully weaves this aspect into the story, adding a layer of authenticity and relatability to the characters' experiences.
The romantic dynamics between Ava and Sammy are beautifully depicted, emphasizing how their relationship is built on mutual respect and admiration. Their journey feels organic and authentic, with each character complementing the other in a way that feels balanced and fulfilling.
The writing style of the book strikes a perfect balance between lightheartedness and depth, capturing the emotional nuances of the characters' experiences. The multiple points of view offer a well-rounded perspective that enriches the storytelling, pulling readers deeper into the world of the book.
Furthermore, as the third book in a series, "Healing Magic and Playboys" can be enjoyed as a standalone, delving into the entire series promises a deeper exploration of characters and their interconnected stories.
In conclusion, this sweet, fun, and steamy read is a delightful escape into a world where magic, romance, and personal growth intertwine seamlessly. For readers seeking a heartwarming tale with well-developed characters and a touch of the supernatural, "Healing Magic and Playboys" is a must-read. I highly recommend immersing yourself in this enchanting series to fully experience the magic woven throughout its pages.
Thank you NetGalley Co-op and Victory Editing in exchange for my honest review.
Another excellent book in the Casual Magic series from Lauren Connolly, which I have been just loving! I also really love how much she includes the previous characters, but in such a way you can easily read each one as a standalone.
This book, Healing Magic & Playboys is very aptly titled. We have a lot of elemental abilities in our characters from the previous books, including Sammy who is BFFs with several of the boys. He’s a big time playboy but he’s fallen for one of the dancers at the Jewelry Box, where Red works as a waitress (which is part of book 2). He’s continuing to visit to watch Pearl dance and in his obsession, starts bringing her gifts… which she doesn’t want or appreciate. She has another “real” job, as a college librarian, and only dances to refill her succubus witch magic. Ava is not an elemental, but is a witch.
After being invited to the elemental’s pool party where an incident happened and she has to show her healing abilities, Sammy falls for the real Ava, and she’s in trouble of her two lives crossing, and the fallout is what she’s always feared (she needs the club and the men’s lust to constantly refill her magic to ward off physical illness)… it could be very bad, or potentially very good?
Connolly is a fantastic author and if you haven’t checked out this series yet or her others (I’ve also read her Smartypants Romance contributions and just picked up her Folk Haven series on the incredible audio sale), you are most definitely missing out - she’s brilliant and I absolutely recommend her books, all of them, to everyone! Just the right amount of steam, and such well thought out and creative storytelling, and it’s all perfect! I also must say, as a migraine sufferer myself, I always appreciate whenever an author includes this in a romantic storyline!
I received an advance copy from NetGalley and City Owl Press, and this is my honest feedback.
Healing Magic & Playboys by Lauren Connolly is a captivating and enchanting romance that weaves together an intricate tale of love, self-discovery, and the transformative power of vulnerability. The story introduces readers to Ava Bellerose, a fiercely independent witch who uses her healing magic to charge up her abilities. She has no interest in romantic entanglements, preferring to maintain a safe distance from her admirers. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when her secret identity as the masked performer Pearl is revealed to the persistent and charming Sammy Reyes. Sammy, a water elemental, is undeterred by Ava's initial hostility and is determined to prove himself as more than just a faceless fuel tank for her magical prowess. As he peels back the layers of Ava's protective walls, he discovers the vulnerable heart beneath her confident facade. In turn, Ava learns the importance of embracing vulnerability and opening herself up to the possibility of love. The novel's beautifully crafted world is a seamless blend of urban fantasy and romance, with intriguing supernatural elements that add depth and complexity to the narrative. The characters are well-developed and relatable, drawing readers in with their unique personalities and emotional journeys. As Ava and Sammy navigate the challenges of their burgeoning relationship, they must confront their own fears and insecurities while facing external threats that could tear them apart. The story is a testament to the power of love and the transformative magic that can be found in vulnerability and trust. Healing Magic & Playboys by Lauren Connolly is a captivating and enchanting romance that delivers a spellbinding tale of love, self-discovery, and the magic of vulnerability. With unforgettable characters and a beautifully crafted world, this book is a must-read for fans of urban fantasy romance. Highly recommended!.

4 ✨ LOVE LOVE LOVE! I didn’t read the previous books in this series but still, everything about the magical system was easily understandable and made sense without having to overthink it too much. That really helped me get hooked on this lovely story. Ava’s reason to strip was well established and not just a random plot device. In general, I feel like the world around our main characters was used very well to further the depth and help along the plot without seeming like 2D cardboard backdrops.
I like that both POVs were very transparent to read, and both characters were quick to understand. Their traits also seemed consistent and stable throughout the story without having to rely on some exaggerated grand twist trauma reveal, which made it a lot more graspable. Instead, we just got more and more context to their traits, and that really rounded everything out for me.
I also really like the pacing of their relationship. While Ava definitely could’ve been more suspicious in the beginning, it never felt rushed or illogical. We were getting carried on a relaxing wave toward the beach that is their relationship. The way Sammy was swooning over “his witch” had me giggling and kicking my feet at times! I kinda wish Ava and Sammy would’ve talked about the architecture & room inspiration of The Underground like it was teased. That would’ve been a really cute scene.
The feeling of found family was very strong with this adorable group of friends! I feel like a tight-knit community like theirs has great potential for this type of loving and supporting atmosphere that I eat up every time and I hope it will be expanded on within the next novels of this series!
All in all, I will 100% not only continue reading but also add Books 1 & 2 to my (already way too long) TBR!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I’m sharing my honest opinion!
Every time I think Lauren Connolly can’t top her last adorable cinnamon roll, she surprises me with yet another one to fall in love with. Sammy is both a gooey mass of sweetness and a seemingly clueless goofball with a playboy reputation, hiding a deep well of insecurity. He’s fallen head over heels for Pearl, a mysterious stripper who refuses to give him the time of day no matter how hard he tries to get her attention by showering her with money and gifts.
What he doesn’t know is that IRL, Pearl is Ava, a university librarian and healing witch, who only strips because her magical healing abilities are powered by lust, thanks to a succubus ancestor. She has zero interest in tangible gifts, she just needs concentrated lust occasionally to provide enough magical fuel to heal her debilitating migraines.
When Sammy coincidentally learns her identity, he falls in love even deeper and is totally dedicated to giving her everything she needs. Ava is strong, confident, and determined to resist him, but he woos her with an adorable kitten and turns himself inside out to meet her needs, making him impossible to resist. This book was cozy and sweet and hopefully there will be more in the series. I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
This is a great addition to Ms. Connollys Casual Magic series! As it’s a continuing series, I’d advise reading them in order, just so you don’t miss anything. All of the characters from the previous stories play parts in this one, and it’s awesome to catch up with them.
The focus of this tale is Sammy, who’s been a secondary star in the previous two novels. Ava, aka Pearl, is a fun, spunky character, and watching Sammy grovel and practically beg her to give him the time of day will make you chuckle and smile. Watching the rich, always-gets-what-he-wants playboy fall head over heels for the girl who is very standoff-ish is a great change from the usual. However, as we get to know Sammy behind the playboy veneer, we learn there’s far more to him, his life hasn’t been what we think, and he’s an absolute marshmallow you just want to hug. Ava and Sammy’s chemistry is off the charts, and watching them get together and build something lasting is an absolute treat.
If you’re looking for something new and different in the paranormal world, give Lauren’s Casual Magic a try. You won’t be disappointed!
This is book 3 of a series, however it can be read as a standalone, which is what I did and it didn't affect my reading enjoyment, it just made me want to read the other books. So the book follows a witch Ava, a witch with healing powers, but in order to use them she needs to fill up her magic, by getting the lust of people, so by day she is a librarian and by night she is a dancer! It's at her night job that she meets Sammy, who has taken a big shine to Ava.
This is a fun, fast paced read with plenty of banter and romance. I loved the story and really enjoyed reading Ava and Sammy's interactions and seeing them become closer. I liked reading about the magic in this world and how Ava had to be careful, as all magic people do. The other characters in the story were fun to read also. It certainly had a spicy element to it, but nothing to spicy, but again this just added to Sammy and Ava relationship. This is the kind of book that you can kick back and read while chilling by the pool, or when you want a food beach read. Sometimes an easy, fun, romantic book is all you need and this certainly was that kind of book for me!
Imagine, if you will, a librarian by day and an exotic dancer by night… hey, a girl’s got to pay rent and replenish her healing abilities. If you can imagine this, meet Ava.
Ava uses her night job to replenish her healing magic with the lust of the patrons. There’s just one in particular that is extremely helpful to her, although he doesn’t know it. Sammy is a great help to Ava with the way he pines for her. He’s at every one of her shows.
Sammy is absolutely adorable. While this seems like an unhealthy obsession for Sammy, he really is a sweetheart. I really enjoyed his interactions with Ava. It was really sweet to see them grow closer. I also enjoyed the magic system. The plot was intriguing, and I loved getting both perspectives. The story, at times, seemed to flow well, but there were times when it felt rushed. I could have used a bit more spice, but I did enjoy the level of spice that was there.
While this is book 3 of a series, this can be read as a standalone, which is great because I definitely didn’t have time to read the first two of the series, but I will! This entire series is available on Kindle Unlimited.
This is the third installment in the series, but if you haven't had the chance to read the first two books, there's no need to fret; it stands perfectly on its own. I found myself captivated by this story. I read the first in the series and didn’t get to the second before I received this Arc. The magical characters were delightful, especially our two protagonists: Sammy, a charming playboy who happens to be an elemental squid and an architect, is determined to catch the attention of Ava, our fierce and sassy succubus witch who works as a librarian and is also a talented magical dancer. Their evolving relationship was a joy to witness as they learned to trust one another, and it was heartwarming to see how their friend group supported each other throughout their journey. Connolly's writing style truly shines, as the chemistry between the characters leaps off the pages, making it an engaging read. If you're in the mood for a light-hearted paranormal romance filled with plenty of steamy moments, I highly recommend giving this series a try; you won't regret it!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC! All opinions below are my own.
omg, I loved this book. I just love a good magical contemporary romance, and I love a hidden sex goddess underneath a "nerdy" exterior, and this book hit all those spots for me. I haven't read any of the prior books, but believe you me, I shall! Our MMC is a previous playboy, long left behind in his college days, as well as being a millionaire who loves to shower money and gifts on our FMC. He is aware of his faults, never pushes, and just is head over heels begging for our FMC - who remains distant due to her own powers as a succubus-witch. He's almost too perfect. But if you like that healing (for yourself, and your run-ins with shitty men), then this book boyfriend will provide that healing magic!
Also, pleasantly smutty. I cringed at first at the naming conventions, but quickly got over it - especially as Squid ended up being pretty tongue-in-cheek references a few times.
Ok, I have to be honest, I was expecting this to be Harley's story. I was surprised to find out this was about Sammy and his mystery girl. Once I caught up to who I was reading about I fell in love with Ava. She is such a great mix of the diligent overworked employee and an empowered dancer. I so understand her fear of running out of the ability to make herself feel ok. I think anyone who is regularly dependent on American health care would. Her journey to bring the two sides of her life together and let happy go lucky Sammy into her life is fun to follow. Sammy too has grown and continues to in this book. He's mended fences and realized that he wants more from life than to live off a trust fund. Previously dismissed as a rich boy he learns that not everything is achieved by paying more money and sometimes it can hinder as much as help. Their story is a fun ride and a sweet romance.
Though this book can be enjoyed as a standalone, I highly recommend starting with the first two installments in the series. I didn't, and I wish I had—characters from the previous books make delightful appearances throughout this charming story. I'm now eagerly diving into book one!
If I didn’t love Ava to the moon and back, I wouldn’t know what to do with myself when it comes to Sammy. At first, Sammy seemed a bit creepy—even Ava might have thought so. But as the story unfolded, he transformed into my latest book boyfriend. Can I order one for myself?
This book is an easy read; I flew through it and couldn't put it down. Some scenes will forever live rent-free in my mind. If I had to describe this book in three words, they would be sexy, cute, and hot. It’s the perfect summer read!
This book is another great instalment in this series. Diving into Sammy’s head allowed us to understand his personality and behaviour in previous books. Lauren balanced his character very well, especially given that his wealth and abilities could have skewed him too far. It is rare and wonderful to see well written sexually submissive men in quality fiction, so it was very refreshing to see it in this book. I cheered when Ava gracefully and firmly managed tricky situations, and enjoyed seeing a different type of magic. The drop ins from previous main characters were fun and very satisfying. The librarian pop culture references were super fun too.
Full disclosure: I was given an ARC of the book, however this review is my own honest opinion.
I love the Casual magic series, and this one focuses on Sammy and his obsession with the dancer at the Jewely Box. Ava, known as Pearl at the club, only dances since she is a witch-succubus and needs the lust she gets from dancing. She never takes the money, even though Sammy has tried to throw thousands at her. Its not until he figures out that she likes a mystery and gives her a puzzle box that she finally looks at him. Sammy has money- a lot of it – and doesn’t know how to woo a woman without the money, but he is ready and willing to learn. When they finally meet in person, she has to use her healing powers to heal Sammy and they start a tentative friendship which eventually grows into more.
This was a great story with lots of romance and magic! Loved it.
This is the first book that I've read by Lauren Connolly even though I have definitely heard her works talked about. It was sweet and different. I ended up staying up way too late to read this book because I was so intrigued with the magical elements of the storyline. I've read a good bit of magical books and romance books and this is definitely one of the more unique crossovers. It has an average level of spice. I actually expected a little more since Ava is a stripper succubus, but it was much more tasteful than I anticipated which I liked as well. The writing itself felt a little rushed for me, and I would have liked some more deep dives or more intensely emotional scenes, but overall I really enjoyed it and would definitely read more Lauren Connolly books.
Healing Magic and Playboys is Book 3 in the Casual Magic series, however this book read perfect as a standalone, I read this one as a standalone, having not read the first two books in the series and didn't miss anything at all. However after reading book 3 I did race to buy books 1 and 2 in the series for my kindle because I just loved Healing Magic and Playboys 🙈
I loved the relationship developing between Ava and Sammy from the beginning, I love a dual POV read, this was a fast paced, page turner, a very spicy read. I just couldn't put this down, a very addictive read. Definitely an unputdownable read that pulls you in from start to finish.
Within the entire series I this is definitely my favorite. Sammy has always been my favorite side character, and to see him further developed made my soul happy. The addition of Ava, as well as the furthering of the magic system was perfect. My absolute favorite trope is a golden retriever / black cat type of personality and this book hit it straight on the target. The plot lines/character development that each of the two go through was, in my opinion, more flushed out than the other two stories, and I really enjoyed that. Truly Sammy Reyes has my hear.
**This book was provided by the publisher as an early reviewer copy**
As a pole dancer myself, I was more than excited for Pearl's story, ever since she was mentioned in the previous book.
I have to say, apart from some teeny tiny implausibilities in the pole dance department (you really don't want to use lotion before pole dance, because you won't stick to the pole anymore!) I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love a strong confident MFC and a swoony, more than skin-deep MMC. The spice is also very nice and the academic setting took me back to my own days working at University (minus the sleezy Prof, thank Goodness!). Overall, the same (very high!) level as the other books by Lauren Connolly. Love! ❤️
This is such an excellent story. I loved Sammy and Pearl/Ava. Sammy is a millionaire and all he wants is someone to like him for himself, not is wallet. Pearl/Ava is by day a librarian and some evenings a burlesque dancer. She is also half witch and half succubus and needs lust to feed her healing magic. Will Sammy ever get Pearl/Ava to pay attention to him. This is such a well written love story, it's hot and steamy, the characters have great depth, all the elementals in the story are great and I loved it. Perfect story with a great happy ever after.
