The Little Things

Rate this book
"The Little Things is an inspiring memoir that chronicles Wade's journey through extreme adversity and toward what he had always a loving family. The vignettes dealing with his youth are the most troubling aspects of The Little Things. For all he has been through---including, most recently, the terrible medical care he received for his MS---Wade is definitely a glass half full type of person. He remembers the kindness that people have shown him and takes pains to acknowledge it, which leads to one of the books most important "The kindness of others goes a long way, no matter how small."' It was like I was sitting down and listening to my dad tell me his life story and lessons learned along the way. There was no airbrushed “perfect” quality to the book, it is perfect as is. From its strange spacing and font change, and its few spelling errors I was able to catch, it made it perfect. There is a part in the book where he touches on that aspect of the book, and i couldn’t agree more. I appreciate the raw emotion put into this, again, like a dad re experiencing his life for you. Thank you for sharing your life with us

A beautiful story of hope and adapting to what life throws at you

I highly recommend reading this book if life has handed you a curve ball and struggling with the results. Wade refuses to let his crazy upbringing and eventual onset of the illness take what's good in his life away. Reading his story about how he got where he is today under the circumstances and his fight of his illness and adapting to lives his best life shows the tenacity of the human spirit when it is challenged.

This was a very fast paced memoir that was also very hard to follow. I chose this book off a free website as a book reviewer……. Lowkey sketchy but hey, a free book. It had many typos and errors in the book which seemed unprofessional. I’m not judging the content, but the way he wrote it. Because it is indeed a very interesting story. I am sad though because I finished this book and still have 4 hours left of subbing 😔

Good content but lacking flow

I felt like there was some good content for a story but it was “jumpy”. The story line needs to connect and flow better. I think people like to read stories that are filled with real life adversity. Hard times that shape us into good honest people.
