I liked this 2nd and final volume better than the first in this series. It felt like Koumori's artwork and storytelling matured along with the characters.

Our main characters and their friends are facing slightly more adult situations in this one as they approach high school graduation. I enjoyed seeing the cast go through the dilemmas that happen at that stage in life, like figuring out where to go to college and how to keep relationships going long distance. The love triangle subplot felt a bit convoluted just to create drama between Chika and Waya, but at least I liked how it got resolved.

I kinda wish there was another volume to see where everyone lands post graduation, but I'll just have to keep an eye out for more English translations of Koumori's work.

Our Aimless Nights – Book Review (2.5 stars)
This sequel had a lot of charm. I really enjoyed the characters, their dynamics, and the overall tone of the story—it was cute, heartfelt, and at times even a bit profound. That said, there were a few areas where it didn’t fully work for me.
One of my main issues was the central relationship. Chika and Waya’s dynamic felt a bit underdeveloped and, at times, surprisingly immature. Despite being in a relationship, their interactions often came across as shy and uncertain in a way that made it hard to believe in their connection. It sometimes felt more like they were just beginning to figure things out rather than already dating, which made their romance less convincing.
I also found myself wanting more depth from the side characters. While they were likable and had potential, the story didn’t spend enough time exploring them. With so much focus on the main relationship, it felt like the supporting cast didn’t get the development they deserved, which made the world feel a bit limited.
Overall, while the story has a sweet and endearing quality that I appreciated, it could have benefited from stronger development—both in the central relationship and in the supporting characters. It’s an enjoyable read, but it didn’t quite reach its full potential for me.

Getting close to finishing their high school years, the budding relationship between Chika and Waya is starting to mature and they have to have conversations around goals and things like where they want to go to school, live, and what they want to do. They're still a little shy around each other which makes these conversations a little difficult however they are figuring it out, sometimes with a little nudge from rivals or friends or even each other.

They'll never want to take back those nights outside the convenience store but they know those days are coming to a close. Studying for exams takes up a lot of work and sharing their true feelings means being realistic. I love the romance and the two of them make a sweet couple. Do I wish there was an additional volume or two? Of course, but I'm fine also with where it landed if Koumori decides not to continue.

This volume is the conclusion of Chika and Waya's sweet and wholesome story. Chika is an energetic and outgoing girl, and Waya is a shy and quiet boy. After making their relationship official, they have to learn how to navigate high school life as a couple.

Dive back into Japanese high school life with outgoing Chika and awkward Waya. They face the challenges of high school love head on! I loved seeing their love grow while learning about each other and figuring out what they want out of their relationship. Your favorite side character classmates also make a return with all the charm and antics that you'd expect!

This was a cute 2nd book in the series with Chika and Waya revealing to others that they are now together. Waya experiences jealousy when other guys in their school try to get close to Chika, but Chika seems to just really care about Waya. They do communicate though and a lot faster than many other stories I've read with the same tropes. It's more a wholesome romance than a heavy drama filled one and sometimes it's just so nice to read a cozy romance instead.

This was a nice fun comfy shoujo manga and I'm ready to enjoy more in the series in the future!

"Our Aimless Nights" is a very cute, 2 volume story about 2 high school classmates who begin talking to each other at night outside of a convenience store. Over time they fall in love and become a couple. In this second volume, we see a potential love rival enter the picture and their struggle with upcoming school/college entrance exams.

I felt that though the story is only two volumes long it was fleshed out well. Also, the characters developed well... but I am so disappointed not to have more with my favorite character Takeru! It seems things went well for him in the end, but nothing is explicitly stated! That's my only gripe and I still highly recommend this little series.

This was such a cute and enjoyable read! I’ve genuinely been loving this series, and this volume just reminded me why. I adore both of the main characters, and watching their relationship continue to grow was so sweet and satisfying. The side characters also add so much charm and warmth to the story, making everything even more fun to read.

I honestly can’t wait to see where the next volume takes us!

This concluding volume touches on many themes teens will relate to, uncertainty over life after high school, saying goodbye to friends, moving on to new adventures, growing up. It was very touching and sweet.

I love this couple! In this volume, they begin to understand their feelings for each other even more and start being a little more open about their relationship with their friends. Their dynamic is one of my favorite parts of the series, and I really enjoy seeing their relationship continue to grow.

The art is adorable, and overall, this is a great series for teenagers.

Volume 2 has a bit of drama, and I like how their relationship progresses naturally. The fear of how it will change after they go separate ways for college and stuff is handled well. So cute and sweet, they truly remind me of my innocent teenage years.

This is such an adorable series! Now in their final year at school, the characters are dealing with anxiety about getting into the universities they want, worries about long distance relationships, and a touch of jealousy. Through out it all, the friendships and relationships are so sweet and heartwarming. I’d easily read another five books following these characters. It seems like this might be the conclusion of the story, but I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for a follow up of their college year.

Just 25 chapters of sweet shoujo high school love 🌸. A popular, extroverted girl happens upon an introverted, shy guy from her class working at the corner store near her home. After a couple of chance encounters, they begin meeting every week at the same store on Wednesdays at 9 PM. Both are very sweet and shy 🥰. The story then explores how their school life changes because of this, including their friend group dynamics. A pleasant read for those looking for something quick and heartwarming.
