I can't get enough of her, I never, ever will. The minute I see her face and the moment I hear her laugh, I'm liberated from all the hate and pain and drama. The horror just vanishes and I'm finally free. Maya is the only thing that will ever matter to me. Ever. She's all mine.

He shouldn't have touched her. He shouldn't have pushed me. He will pay for it.

God I want to be his Rookie

Ok, 3 books full of a young dominate, skilled, sexy mess of a man and I'm still fanning myself... I'm sad it ended. How I went from extreme dirty raunchy major alpha Abel Gunner right into a young extreme dirty raunchy major alpha Isaac Kavanagh, almost the same... completely different backgrounds, different stories not the same by any means but skills that had me fanning my (yeah you know) and an age difference was a real treat for me! I love my book boyfriends like that!

"I am in love with Maya Sheffield. Completely, utterly, desperately in love with her."

Yeah so after that statement, I was like this...

This was an emotional up and down for me and it was mainly down! The events throughout this entire series between Maya, Isaac, and Glor made my blood boil! ~~ I know Isaac was very delicate but my gosh, I could not imagine being as understanding as Maya yet that's what made me love her! Isaac needed that loving understanding no matter what he did. His loyalty and love for her was completely solid but at times I got a little worried.

This book had so much ...

SEPERATION & REUNITING

But that would be the best part because Isaac put his perfectly skilled body to work as soon as he was back, God did he ever! All of us experience the panty melting, the need to change our panties, and to maybe bring out our BOB, but in all honesty, every time Isaac did something, I literally felt my body respond *snicker* even the "butterfly effect" in the belly ;D This was one of my favorite series.

LOVED IT!!!!!

I'm so sad this was the final book in the series but it ended perfectly. Maya and Isaac are the most adorable couple ever. I swear. They couldn't be more perfect together. Here's the scoop. Maya and Isaac still aren't free and clear yet, but they are finally back together. Not before creep numero uno Luke breaks in and tries to rape and kidnap Maya unfortunately. No worries, Jace & Piper save her before he does. Isaac snaps when he finds out and decides to turn to the feds to help get out of the mess he had no clue he was involved in with his evil father. Glory surprises everyone by admitting she's not only known Maya since she was a kid but that there's a connection between herself, Isaac's father AND Piper's father that Maya knows about that could help him. We also find out she's the one who threw her to Luke to rape when she was 14. Then she slept with Luke 5 hours after he raped Maya (in the room right next to Maya so she was sure to hear). Anyway, Isaac meets with the feds but is shot down since he left the scene and his father's employ. Back to square one. Then Glory steps in and reveals a HUGE secret that no one saw coming and offers her help too in exchange for Isaac. Things are going well until Maya's nightmares about Luke become too much for Isaac to bear and he enlists Jace to basically help him beat the crap out of Luke but stop him before he kills him. It goes south when Isaac accidentally tells him to stay away from Maya and she belongs to him now. I consider Luke being in the ICU a success though. So Luke is taken care of (for now) and Glory comes up with a plan to go back to Baron (Isaac's dad) and buy a girl as a gift for Isaac who will then accept the girl and turn her over to the feds. Boom. Baron will go down, Glory and Isaac will be free. Then the shjt hits the fan and the plan gets nixed when Glory has a stroke. At this point I'm like, can't this poor guy catch a break. He just wants to be with his girl! Of course this means Isaac may actually go to prison for human trafficking he had no clue he was involved in. But then a new plan is born. Isaac moves back in to take care of a recovering Glory and hopefully Baron will reward him with a girl. It works. Isaac turns the girl over to the feds but he's not free and clear yet. Then of course Luke returns. This motherfucker. I hate him. He's pissed because Isaac's attack left him unable to get it up (that put a HUGE smile on my face) and his new girl left him. He kidnaps Maya and takes her to one of Baron's clubs to do God knows what to her. Luckily someone who turned to the feds inside the club calls Isaac and warns him not only is Maya there but that the club is going to be raided that night and Baron will go down. Isaac rescues Maya but not before torturing Luke. Let be real, he deserved it. Baron shows up and hears Isaac confessing how he basically stole Luke's girl but he keeps up the ruse of still having those dark urges by telling him Maya is into all the shit he does and that they've been together almost a year proves it and he'll return the other girl Baron gave him if he wants. I can't say what happens next. It would spoil the awesome ending. And a fantastic epilogue! Ms. Chase didn't leave us hanging. If you haven't read this series you are missing out! Oh, and in case you were wondering about the heat factor- all I can say is OMFG! I love how the author blends Maya & Isaac's emotions but still writes an unbelievably scorching sex scene between these two.

Finally it's over!

*takes a deep breath

Holy fuck, I can't believe I survived this series.

“I can’t help it, I do sort of look at your pussy as my pet,” Isaac says after we finish arguing about whether or not he’s allowed to inspect my crotch the morning after some particularly rough sex. He’s not, much to his dismay.
“Are you serious?”
“Yes. She’s always so excited to see me. I taught her a lot of tricks. I fucking love her even though I’ll never get her to behave. I feel responsible for her now. And I think she’s really cute.”

Three.Books.

I only kept reading this series since I was unfortunate to read the blurb on the last book about the psychotic obsessed boyfriend (which I admit is my weakness, book-wise). Anyways, I kept hoping that it'll get better and I was looking forward to Luke finally going psycho but it just didn't deliver. sigh

Thank god this is over. I was really hoping that there would be more shocking reveals with this, but it's pretty evident when you have psychopaths molesting, raping and raising you, that you'll be completely f-ed in the head by the time you grow up.

My issues with this book (the whole series really) come down to too much sexual detail and not enough intricacy in the psychopathic characters. Jace and Piper take up too much real estate; they could be more interesting as a real book but maybe not. The co-dependency issues between M & I started to grate on my nerves, as did the exorbitant number of typos and grammar issues. Why doesn't anyone know the difference between "your" and "you're" anymore??

Surely I am not the only person on the planet who thinks this is WAY beyond WTF?!!!

I won't lie, I actually enjoyed some of the scenes with Maya and Isaac. I can't, however, comprehend the resulting "mommy" issues that were completely NOT resolved in any type of rational behavior! I get it, he lived a messed up life and he will never be "normal". But REALLY?!!! At book 3 you can't seriously still be calling someone Mom that you not only had sex with but, actually got pregnant!!!

So disgusting I couldn't even finish

Excellent finish

****must read the first 2 books before reading this one-day you will be lost! and maybe a bit horrified...****
great ending, thought I'd never feel anything but hate for Baron; what a twist at the end. kept me on edge the whole time like the other two, but not as intense as the others, or at least not at a constant rate which isn't bad. great job Ember!

Very interesting series. Kind of had a feel to Fifty Shades of Gray but more twisted. I really enjoyed the characters. There's a lot of story, so don't think it's all BDSM sex. You really come to understand a little more of the world of BDSM. If you loved Fifty Shades and you don't mind getting a little more twisted then you'll love this series.

I don't know why people are obsessed with 50 shades when there are so much better series in that genre. This series had to be one of my favorites, it fun, filled with good drama, has good cliffhangers and just had the best characters.
I promise you will love every word of this book!!

I was really pleased how everything turned out.
It did however feel like it took forever to get there, a lot of shit happened in the middle that I wish didn't take so long but happy with the ending and pleased the series is finished :)

Defiance was a little bit harder for me to keep reading than the previous books, which I blew through in less than a day. While it was still a very good book, it just seemed a little slower than I typically like.

I wish Ember would write another series like this, I've read it twice, it has love, deception, hurt, sadness (weeping into a tissue sadness!), happiness, betrayal, and best of all great sex. Come on Ember we want more. :0}

Great story. It had great depth beyond the hot stuff and was quite confronting at times. I'm loved both Isaac and Maya. Not your typical journey to HEA but they God damn deserved it.
