In the beginning was the G-code. And the G-code was to be honored among friends. “Thou shalt not date, flirt or sex her friends ex or current right now situation.” Easy right? Wrong!
For best friends Mulan Barros and Vega Monroe this code is about to be tried and tested. For the past eighteen years these friends have lived by this Girl-code and nothing else. They’ve shared everything except men. And this code still holds firm even NOW. Mulan and Vega are both sharing the experience of being in love—especially with the same man—Vega’s man--Montreal "Trill" DeVoe.
Montreal is the sexy conceited Hershey’s God that has the need to please--for self indulgence. Lately, he realizes that love can and does exist and there's only one person that has the love he longs for--Vega. His dilemma—maintain his extra-curricular activities or put them on the shelf for good before the two most important people in his life find out--namely his woman and best friend, Ashton Edwards.
Ashton is man on his way up! With a good head on his shoulders and great job he's ready to provide for the woman whom he adores. When transitional events start to transpire Ashton comes into some realizations of his own.
Find out what happens when fraudulent schemes of betrayal test friendships and relationships because when the code of friendship is violated the price may come with a serious price tag attached.
Even though this book had some minor errors it still deserve five stars!!! Everybody that smile in your face is not loyal to you!! Just because someone say they are your friend do not mean that they are. Trill and Mulan are two that do not care about loyalty nor friendship! This is my first time reading a book by Luciana Monroe but she did a great job and I strongly recommend this book. I can't wait to part 2 be released to see what happens amongst them friends...Ashton, Mulan, Trill, & Vega. #GreatRead
This was a different read. No drugs, violence, graphic sex, or a lot of profanity. But it did have betrayal, backstabbing, and a hater. I loved these employed Black Men. They were the stuff, doing it legal. There is always a Mulan in every story. The one who hates and is jealous. This book was too wordy and not enough drama for me. However, it did hold my attention and I am on to Part Two. Recommended.
The title of this book would have you thinking that it's going to be about some gold digging ass female running through a group of friends, but it's not. This was actually a very good read and it could be a 5 star book if it didn't have a lot of errors in the book. I can't wait to see what the author will come up with next.
After reading an ending like that, OMG is all I can say. Who does things like this. The "grits done hit the fire now". Sorry but your going to have to read the book to know what I'm talking about.
To the Author: GREAT story line, but PLEASE get an editor for future writings so you can get the 5 stars you deserve.
This book shows you jealousy at it's finest. Mulan and Vega are BFFs but envy is a big green monster and Mulan is touched by it. Sad to see how the friendship isn't that important. Ashton was a good man that got played. Can't wait for part 2.
This was a good story, but the errors were a bit bothersome. I liked the way the author waited until the very last page to drop the bomb. Great story. Just need to correct the editing errors, and this will be a five star read.
Wow this is a new author for me and she blew me away. These books was beyond great.I can't believe Trill and Mulan at all.I fell bad for everyone in this book.I was kinda expecting that ending but then again I wasn't.I can't wait to start part two because shit is about to hit the fan forreal
This book had me really thinking you can't trust nobody !! Good read can't wait for part 2 !! The ending really had me in my feelings couldn't believe she ended that way !!
