I really enjoyed this book. I had trouble putting it down. I am so glad I got to be part of the readers that got to experience this first. I loved the connection between Ava and CJ the chemistry was soooo good. The time they spent apart because of poor choices made my heart hurt. The games that CJ played with Eliza really sucked but she is so strong and will find someone. I hope we get another book showing how Eliza is doing.

Ada went though so much before meeting CJ, and wasn't looking for anything on their chance encounter. Their age difference was a huge factor in how some things took place. These two became friends, and eventually lovers. Shortly after though Ada decided she didn't want to hold CJ back from having all the things someone his age could give him. Fate decided these two needed to reconnect, and it wasn't in the easiest of fashions. Ada had kept a secret, and CJ turned everything upside down to prove he still loved her.

I feel that this book had such a wonderful story line

Ava is a Widow who lost her husband during the pandemic and when the world reopens, she finishes their tour of the world vacation in his honor

Along her journey, Ava unexpectedly meets CJ. He is a well known actor and he falls in love with CJ from the very beginning

Ava is having none of that. She is mourning the loss of her husband and is happy to just be friends.

This story spans a matter of years where CJ makes every effort to incorporate himself into Ava’s life. He makes frequent trips to see her and spend time with her in Canada where she resides.

I love that even though Ava fights her feelings for CJ and uses their age difference as her reason, CJ refuses to give up and continues to make every effort to “argue her heart”.

The only downside I found was the formality with which the characters spoke. This could be due to the characters and their personality/language, but the flow was often disrupted with the use of formal language.

Cute story. Parts of it had me laughing out loud and parts had me upset. It's fairly long for a second-chance romance. Worth the read. Representation of Celiac/gluten intolerance.

While it hits all the beats of a romance novel, Arguing Her Heart is more than just a romance. It is an artfully crafted journey to self-discovery. As two strangers bump into each other in a cafe in Paris, the incident is just the first step to a friendship that eventually turns into something more. She is grappling with her past and losses. He falls first as he discovers all her facets, feeling attracted to her honesty and wittiness. While he's unsure if Ava is ready for a new relationship, she thinks they are just friends, and that's all she wants. Read it and find out how the story unfolds and what secrets and miracles Ava holds up her sleeve. Highly recommended. :-)

This exceptional novel is guaranteed to keep you hooked from start to finish. The story features an intriguing plot with unexpected twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
You'll laugh, cry, and even get mad as you follow the evolving relationship between an older female character and a younger male celebrity. What starts as a chance encounter turns into a deep friendship, eventually turning into a romantic relationship.
