Scarlett Prynne, Runeclaw, The Spell Riders, and the Witches on Wheels beat down the Chrome Ghosts and disrupted the Luminous Veil’s plans once again.

The Veil didn’t like that. Not one murderous bit. And if Scarlett shows up in their sights again, they won’t hold back.

And, of course, Scarlett being who she is, she’s looking for an opportunity to do just that.

The Veil’s mind control collars are a looming threat, and Scarlett and her allies are doing their best to get the dirt on them.

Step one is breaking into the mansion of the one Bald Baddie they’ve identified. What’s a little breaking and entering for a good cause, right?

One clue will lead to the next, and each of them will lead Scarlett and her allies into greater danger.

Behind the scenes, Camus pushes forward day by day on his plan to use the collars to give the Veil unprecedented power in the country, and eventually, the world.

Only one troublesome witch and ferocious feline stand in their way. Fortunately, they have the Witches, the Riders, and the Federal Agents of Magic at their backs.

But will it be enough to prevent more kidnappings? More collarings? And the achievement of the Veil’s goals?

Only one way to find out.

For action, magic, snarky banter, martial arts, mystical creatures, and a dash of mystery, join Scarlett and Runeclaw on their next adventure.

I’m TR Cameron, science fiction author. I’ve been an avid consumer of the genre since I was six, I think, when I broke the seal on my Dad’s copies of the Asimov Foundation books. It’s been all downhill since then.

I have a day job that I love most days, and writing is pretty much my only consistent hobby. When I find time that’s not already filled with my wife, my daughter, my writing, my work, or dodging the affections of our clowder of cats, you can find me playing video games (currently Dishonored 2 – I’m a little behind the times on this one), watching things (Marvel movies, American Gods, Agents of Shield, Justified, The Expanse, Gotham), playing board games, or, naturally, reading.

My favorite authors in Sci-Fi are David Weber, Jean Johnson, John Scalzi, CJ Cherryh, and the giants: Asimov, Pohl, Bear, Heinlein, etc. I read a lot in other genres too, and am a big fan of Matthew Woodring Stover, Michael Anderle, Jim Butcher, and I could go on and on and on. If I had to choose one favorite, though, it would be Stephen R. Donaldson, whose Thomas Covenant series was transformative for me.

Probably my pie-in-the-sky dream for my writing career is that someone would make a movie or television show of my books and I could be a part of the production. Sure, unlikely, but a clowder-dodger can dream, right? My more practical dream is that I can keep writing and both entertaining and connecting with my readers for years and years to come.

Book 6 takes us into another confrontation between Scarlett Payne, the cat, noRuneclaw, all their many friends among The Witches on Wheels, and the Spell Riders, against the Luminous Veil.

Although Scarlett, et al, had stopped the Bald Baddies, as they preferred to call this mysterious and powerful group, in their attempted kidnapping, they all know that something big is being planned, and that it will probably take everything they know, to find out exactly what.

In this book, The Witches on Wheels get everyone, but especially their infomancer, Amber, who is a mix of computer geek, and magical manipulator moving, step by step, and with the help of everyone who is able to go out into the 'places of interest' that she's looking at, as they start to build up a profile of the events that preceded their last 'meeting'!

Amber believes, that these very bad men are planning an even larger attack, in order to gather even more students.

Scarlett and Runeclaw are deep in these planning sessions but, as time goes by, and more details start to emerge, they realise that this is something that they'll have to throw ALL their resources at, if they are to stop the Bald Baddies from kidnapping any more students, or whatever other nefarious plans they might have for them.

The thought of having even more young lives ruined by these evil men, makes Scarlett, Runeclaw, and every single one of their friends, plan as they've never done before, to get ready for what they are sure will be, a major confrontation.

As usual, T R Cameron's words had me glued to the pages of this book!

Just as I get, when reading anything from Michael Anderle's publishing company, LMBPN.com, this series, which is set in Martha Carr's Oriceran Universe is, like all the raft of authors publishing under LMBPN's umbrella, yet another consistently good one.

If you want great plotlines, brilliant characters, and action scenes that can rival ANYTHING that we might see coming out of the big publishing houses - heck, even from the big production studios - then you need look no further than THIS publishing house!

I've read thousands of books over the last 60 years so, as a huge book reader, you can take my word about this! Lol

I really did love this book. I love the continuing build-up of Scarlett, Runeclaw, Lin, Amber, Wren, Maddox, Snow, and all the rest of the gang's friendships, and characters. Even their enemies are more fully rounded as characters than the average book, which I like very much, after all, what's the point in constantly fighting the stupid? Lol

Each book in this series brings ever more fun, adventure, plotting, and so much skulduggery, that the reader is spoilt for choice! Lol

T R Cameron's books are consistently good so, now that I've finished this book, I'm going straight on to Book Seven, 'Wild Witch', to see what all of our 'Friends on Wheels' are going to do about the constant Bald Baddies because, just like cockroaches, you step on them hard, but they ALWAYS seem to come back again!

Once I've read this next, and penultimate book, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I thought of it!

VERY INTERESTING…

TR. This goes out to you, buddy (as if this will actually get read by you or my opinion matters, lol):

First of all, You hit the nail on the head with your author’s notes again, so I would like to take a second to offer you a few insights if I could?

For starters, I applaud you and everything that you do; your
main job teaching is so extremely important; to broaden the minds of other people and impart knowledge that they didn’t have before is a HUGE privilege and much respect.

Then there is the parenting role; I wish that I had parents as seemingly cool as you, who puts their desires and needs forefront and is showing them that there is life beyond the internet/social media et al, great job and also much respect!

Your writing continues to improve but after I read each book I pay attention to the authors notes and notice the parts I like the best are the parts you tend to focus on in your authors notes. I only point this out because it seems the parts that you have the most fun with are, IMHO, the best parts of the book! It seems that you are already bored with some of the storylines or characters from this book if you are already looking to the future and formulating your next series.

From a Buddhist point of view it addresses SEVERAL issues I think:

1) Your writing might be even better if you LOVED what you were writing and focused on making every page as enjoyable as YOU would like, rather than possibly trying to appeal to what you perceive as your audience; some of your best efforts come when you are “IN the moment” rather than focused on the future. A perfect example of this is the last few paragraphs with Fang - I LOVED THAT PART!

2) I think this also addresses your difficulty dealing with the word/concept of SHOULD. From a Buddhist perspective, there is no SHOULD, only what IS. That is because your strife is from dealing with the EXPECTATION of what SHOULD BE, rather than what IS. People try to be in routines and perform in certain patterns which creates the expectation of SHOULD; predictable behavior. But that is boring and not real life, because people can be totally random and spontaneous and sometimes those moments when they break out of their patterns, they start living their best life.

To make your characters more interesting and real, maybe just let them BE instead of making them behave as they SHOULD?

Just an idea from an old man, who is a fan. Keep up the great work; in life, with your kid and your extracurriculars.

Good series very much in the Anderle format. I wish Runeclaw could actually speak to Scarlett at least once without some meaningless snark. It is very distracting from the storyline, and I try to skim any conversations they seem to have just to bypass it. Plenty of action with the larger group of Witches and Maddock's team as both back up and execution teams. Brief interlude with Dianna, Rath, and team. No closer to the actual main villain however, and his plan seems to be getting closer to fruition. Interesting step for training that Scarlett sets up in the end will hopefully be beneficial.

Still intriguing

The story continues with a reach out to the other partner series with ? and Rath the troll. A good melding of magic, mayhem, an evil plan, characters you like or hate, and a story which needs the next book to either continue the battle(s) until the war is ultimately won. I like the character development, and yes at times it feels rote and trite, but I don't read these as great literature. They are not. They are well written, have minimal to no editing errors, and if you get into the story, will probably keep your interest through to the end.

I think the series will keep your interest.

Scarlett and Runeclaw join the Wheels and Spell Riders to save 12 college kids

Scarlett and her friends have been following the collar trail. They know the collars take control of the minds of the college kids that have been kidnapped. Now they need to find out how it works. And they need to stop the kidnapping both important. How to do that is one step at a time. Working together they hatch plans. How they work is the story that catches me every time. But be prepared there are things happening that don’t always go their way.

Very entertaining read.

Once again, these talented authors have delivered another enjoyable and exciting book.
Scarlette, Runeclaw, and co have been testing their considerable skills against the Bald Baddies, and mostly coming out on top.

However, after saving a number of students from abduction, they later find that another group of students were taken from elsewhere.

I cannot wait to begin reading book seven.

Scarlett teams up with all the gang, the witches, the men and some government officials to help take down the veil, but despite their efforts and some wins, they are as of yet, still chasing the man behind it all and the danger is ramping up with each raid they make, at least they are all safe for now. She gets more training and also visits a UFO vistor centre much to the cat's distaste.

More kidnappings

Scarlett, Runeclaw, and the Witches on Wheels, with the help of the Spell Riders, are trying to find the Luminous Veil and figure out what their plans are for the coeds with the mind controlling collars. Once again another action filled book in the series, with plenty of humor and fun characters to keep you reading the book.

Great Read

Lots of plot twists, but light hearted enough to make things easy going. You will enjoy this book. Especially the cat.
