College senior Chloe has always had one goal and one goal Make Flynn’s deliciously toned ass fall for her. For years, she has tried everything and anything, but he looks at her as nothing but his best friend’s little sister.
Chloe loves that man more than anything in this world, but there is a small thing that drives her nuts. Flynn is a Flanders. The man is too nice for his own good.
Back home from the holidays, Chloe will again try her luck. Will she shake Mr. Nice Guy to his core, or will she fail miserably. . . again?

I have read one other book by the author Eliyang. Stoic (the first book I read) has some elements in common with the current book, Mr. Nice Guy. Both books involve people who have known each other for most of their lives and are close friends. However, Stoic is a darker and more brooding book that covers a larger period of time. I LOVED Stoic but welcomed the lightness and sheer silliness of Mr. Nice Guy. The dialogue had me gasping and laughing while being moved by the complex emotions of both characters. Chloe has loved her brother’s best friend, Flynn, ever since she met him as a young girl. Over the years, she has done EVERYTHING possible to get his attention, but he continues to treat her as if she was a surrogate little sister! Just as she is about to throw in the towel, a small lie gives Flynn the push to move out of the friend zone. But are they MOVING too fast? They have been close for years, but what do they really know about each other? Flynn was such an amazingly crafted character, about as nice a male character ever created but with some unexpectedly dark tones. He was just so darn cute…in an intense and slightly twisted way. Chole was self-proclaimed “brat” but her love was ardent and real. I so enjoyed this story and recommend both Mr. Nice Guy AND Stoic. I look forward to exploring Eliyang’s other books. The book is told from both POVs but Flynn only had a few chapters…not a complaint just an observation 😊 https://theretiredreader.com/f/mr-nic...
