October 1, 2024For some reason, I cannot continue reading this book. The story is not bad, maybe seen before, but it just doesn't work for me.
I got to page 26 and stopped. I try to continue it, but I can't. I've been standing on the same page for two weeks and I'm not moving on.
Unfortunately, there are increasing chances that it will remain unread.

I did like the book but
The plot and the writing were good good, it gave me Whiplash the jumping back and forth two nights before constantly. I feel like I missed the first chapter of the book when he spilled the drink on her that would have been an enjoyable chapter I really loved it where she bit him and clobbered him with her heavy purse. After that it starts going downhill too many characters too many secrets too many complications. And then there's the abuse of her friend. It was a nice read.

This book picks up promptly where the prequel (Velvet Venom) left us. These two ate fire and ice together. The chemistry is off the charts, yet so is the blatant and overt hostility. Bella refuses to be placed in another guided cage, and Andrey is a dominating, intimidating, controlling personality accustomed to getting things a certain way (by force if necessary). There's bound to be trouble in paradise.
This book seems to take place over an incredibly short time frame (although toward the end things seem less clear on timing). There are alot if players in this game, and attention to detail is necessary to avoid getting lost as the story progresses. However, it's easy to get so engrossed in the story, action and drama itself, that details of side names seem inconsequential (there not!) I almost with I'd kept a notepad while tracking the "progress" - you'll understand when you read it.
I can't wait for the conclusion to this duet! Steele left us with a major cliff, and I'm dying to find out what is happening iwith Bella and her gang, and just what Andrey is going to do about it!! Hold on folks, Velvet Vengeance should be a real scorcher.🔥🔥

OMG this was another great book. The book cover was spicy and handsome man. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down literally. Bella and Andrey the chemistry between them sexual tension and the physical attraction was sensation and intrigued. He was controlling and dominating but she had to get out this arranged and moment in a way to save her own life. But could she be falling in love with him in this moment. She is trying to prevent this for happen right now.

Just a little heads up that this books ends in a cliffhanger and has one more installation before it's done. This is the second book that I've read from this author and so far, she hasn't let me down. It continues the story of Isabella and Andrey. is tired of being "locked up" in her father's mansion because he's a mafia boss. When she's told that she's being handed to someone to marry, she was not happy about it. She snuck out from her bodyguards to have a fun night by herself before her engagement. After her wild night, is Issabella ready to settle down, and will the person her father chose for her be someone she'll get along with? We know that Isabella is fiesty, but has she finally met her match?

I read the prequel and I couldn't wait to have time to read this and OMG! I am so glad I waited until I had time because I didn't put this book down until I was done! I LOVE it! I was sucked into the prequel, but this book wow! Addicted from page one! I love the characters, and the storyline held my attention making me want more! I already downloaded book 2 and I can't wait to have a moment to sit down and read it! This is the first book (or 2nd if you count the prequel) I've read from this author but I love her style and can't wait to get my hands on more of her books.

Oh my god.I can't wait for the next book. I need to know what's gonna happen next right now lol. I absolutely love me a good possessive mafia, man mmc. I definitely enjoy it when the female has a backbone as well. This story had both of those. There were definitely quite a few twist in turns in this book. There maybe times where you will have to stop and make sure your understanding all the interworkings of the story. Overall this was a great first book. I'm really excited about the next one and cannot wait to get my hands on it.

I'll admit I wasn't quite a fan of how it started/the formatting BUT I am glad I stuck around because I loved it! This book has some amazing spice but it doesn't rely on it. The mystery, suspense, secrecy, betrayal, and discoveries keep you on your toes. Trust me just when you think you've finally caught on another cure ball comes along. I devoured this book in a day and I cannot wait for the next. I have to know what happens and I NEED answers.

Isabella is too naive in her thinking that she can have a life outside the Mafia. Once you realize you have been in the life, just sheltered from it. How can you fight that? Andrey is sweet but misguided in his handling of Isabella and his title as pkhan.
All this together with the many different characters speaking and the intricacies of the plot made it just an ok read for me. Yes, I had to read the second book just because of curiosity and I feel the same about that one.

This is an absolute crazy ride of a story. There are so many pieces and still so many missing. The characters are so bold and deep. I can feel the intensity practically drip from the page. So many different layers of secrets and miscommunications. The power plays, long plays, and mind games that are going on in this story is insane. It is a very well woven story! I can’t wait to find out how it ends.

Was not expecting that. Truthfully at the start of the book I thought I wouldn't like it but boy did it prove me wrong. The amount of twist and turns made me incredibly confused,so much so that I had to stop reading and recount the information I had. I really loved Issabella and all the characters in this book🥰🥰 I wasn't expecting it to finish when it did . Can't wait for the next book.

Okay so imma give this book 4 stars it was really good if you like a sassy FMC especially one that can handle her own and a MMC who’s possessive you’d probably like this book it’s a duel pov and definitely had me on the edge of my seat till the end I can’t wait for the second book to see how the story ends❤️

This action-packed drama had me glued to the pages that is filled with betrayal and hidden agendas. It is a well written story with characters I enjoyed connecting with and cheering on!

This story has a lot of information with multiple plot twists. Just as soon as something starts to go right... Something else happens!! Andrey and Isabella will hopefully have a future together but only time will tell. This book ends in a cliffhanger

Amazing!!! Very suspenseful story that was detailed and action packed. Storyline was intense and kept my attention. Multi layered characters. Plenty of secrets, lots of drama, and the chemistry between characters was off the charts hot.

Will Andrev save her when she falls into enemy ends? She doesn’t realise that he is also a Russian Mafia when she meets him in the bar. He’s protective of his little spitfire and the chemistry is electric. The flow of the story is edge of your seat immersing. Loved reading .
