pretty entertaining whether you take the occult field seriously or not. Basically a book of compiled references and comparisons of varying occult/superstitious/religous/mythic/scientific/philosophical/psychological dictates of the different parts of human anatomy (including internal organs, bodily functions, sexual activities, etc.), and how they relate to an esoteric understanding/belief in how or why the body and its parts function the way it does, or in relation to the soul and non physical spheres, and all of that.
One of the most interesting details is how certain 'remarkable' scientific and psychological developments and proofs at the time (late 70's) appear as outdated and peasantly in their ignorance as the grossest of foolhardy superstitions.
