Conrad von Honig is done. After committing his entire career to the search for evidence to prove the influence of ancient aliens on human evolution—and enduring the ridicule and derision that have been by-products of that pursuit—the globetrotting writer and adventurer is tired, disillusioned, and ready to give up his quest.
Now, the discovery of an ancient artifact in the Iranian desert turns his fate in a dangerous new direction. The relic in question is an oblong chamber—a room carved from stone, allegedly endowed with mystical powers that transcend the boundaries of space and time.
The discovery sets off a chain reaction among world governments, shadow organizations, and ruthless individuals. Conrad is pulled into a web of intrigue populated by a mysterious cast of a megalomaniacal operative for a clandestine group called Delphi Oculus; an alluring young woman who is equal parts femme fatale and gullible pawn; a high-ranking U.S. military figure hell-bent on acquiring the stone room for defense purposes; and a brilliant research scientist who may be keeping a few powerful secrets of her own.
Apprehended and held against his will by forces he can barely comprehend, Conrad comes to the disturbing realization that he may be the only thing standing between ancient mysteries and a diabolical new world order.
Join Conrad von Honig on his QUEST FOR THE DELPHI OCULUS—the novel-length follow-up to the acclaimed 2017 anthology, QUEST FOR THE SPACE GODS—and meet him at the nexus where ancestry and destiny are one and the same.

Solid 70s era adventure story with a protagonist who I'd be interested in reading more about. Breezy text. Only complaint is I wish it had been longer.
