First Ladies Club: Rocks, Rings and Resurrections

Rate this book
It's been 6 months since Armor Bearer Donte proposed to Natasha. The ring her late husband's right-hand man gave her is a symbol of a new life, while her old First Lady attire in the back of her closet is a reminder of what used to be. The pressures of her husband's mega church are behind her, leaving Natasha able to solely focus on what's best for her daughter, Nivea. But before she can introduce a new father figure to her only daughter's life, maybe she should consider telling Nivea who her birth father is... Lynette has forgiven Andre for his prior infidelity, but a surprise call one day from her husband's former mistress leaves her unable to forget. Amauri is anxious about the move back to New York City. It's a hesitancy she hasn't shared with Paden. But, as it turns out, he's keeping something from her as well. Once the divorce papers arrive at her doorstep, Shenae will finally be single and ready to mingle! They say online dating is a disaster, but when she steps out on faith...God hears the desires of her heart and delivers--big time! The ladies of Deborah's Daughters are back! And this season of their lives is all about rocks, rings, and resurrections. ****** NEW CHANGES MADE 3/28/14*****

This is an excellent choice for Christian book clubs and those who enjoy Christian fiction. This is the story of Christian women and the real drama that every individual faces moving through life even when one has strong faith. There is much to discuss in this book for book clubs. I liked the characters and the relationship among a group of women who are bounded and supportive of each other. The reader is also exposed to the inside workings of churches. There must have been a book before this one so you might want to look for an earlier book that introduces the characters. The author does make an effort to bring you up to speed but I sense that I would have enjoyed this even more had a read a previous book. The story is uplifting. I don't enjoy cliffhangers but I will likely return to the series for another offering.

It was a very interesting story. I wish the author invested in a better editor, because although the story line was good, there were several mistakes.
