No matter how deep you bury your past, the truth will always be unearthed… especially if fate has anything to say about it.
Alpha wolf shifter Jude wants nothing more than a family of his own. He’s watched his friends pair off with their fated mates. They have it all—love, babies, and the whole stupid happily ever after. But when will it be his turn? It’s not fair! It’s probably karma for all the mistakes he’s made. If he hadn’t kept his past a secret this whole time, maybe then he would finally deserve peace. At first, all of it was too fresh, too painful to revisit, except it never seemed like the right time to bring it up. But now, years have passed, and it just feels awkward to say anything after all this time, so he just keeps it to himself where it festers and rots inside him. Yep, must be karma. Because when he finally catches a whiff of the one fated to be his… it certainly feels like punishment. Because his mate is the one thing he can’t possibly forgive. He’s human.
When human omega Morgan sees a wolf turn into a man (before promptly growling in a totally grumpy alpha way and disappearing into the woods), he doesn’t question it for a second, because deep inside he knows beyond a shadow of a doubt—that wolfman belong to him. “He’s mine,” he tells his therapist, before being handed a prescription for antipsychotics. “He’s mine,” he tells the bartender pouring him his third drink. “He’s mine,” he tells the total stranger sitting next to him, just because he looks mildly interested and seems to be listening. Now, if only he could find his wolf again so he could say it again for him.
Rejected Wolf is the third book in the Grim Wilds series by bestselling author Trisha Linde. It’s an m/m, mpreg, shifter romance series, wrapped in magic and lore. It features a grumpy alpha who refuses to accept the mate fate has given him (even though fate totally knows what they’re doing), an omega with golden retriever energy who is too damn stubborn to listen to that nonsense, a destined couple with precisely zero in common (including species), and a painful past brought full circle so it can finally be put to rest.
Trisha Linde spends all her time immersed in books, both reading and writing, mainly because she lives where it’s too cold to do anything else, and what better way to keep warm than with a hot book. The first time she read mpreg, it was love at first sight, and there’s no turning back now.
When she gets older, she will likely invite strangers over for dinner, and you can bet your ass there will be sequins.
Book safety, content warnings, and tropes down below. Resentment simmered below the lust. How dare he be so sweet to make me want him?
I really wanted to love this book, but there was too much that didn’t work for me. I enjoyed parts of it, but it really felt like the first 50% and the last 50% were two different books, and Jude in particular really changed a lot in a very short amount of time. With it being a rejected mate trope I expected more hurt feelings and angst, but it (for the most part) felt like the MCs weren’t all that bothered by the rejection/rejecting. I was also hoping Jude’s pack would be a bigger part of the story, but other than towards the end, the story and characters felt kinda isolated.
It’s not a terrible story or anything, but not the right one for me, unfortunately.
Minus points for using the description ‘pleated rim’. That’s traumatizing.

Instead of screaming and fleeing like any sane human, he’d smiled up at me, put his hands on my body, his… member hard and tempting. I rolled my eyes at myself. I couldn’t even say the word—penis—without flinching, and I had one myself!
I had a feeling that our love was just going to be like that—bursting from us at every moment, overflowing into every corner of our lives—and I couldn’t wait to get started.
I am a huge fan of this author. Have read quite a few of their books now after just discovering them and I’ve loved every single one! This one was no exception. Definitely recommend this series and author if you’re a fan of omegaverse!
We got to the know Jude (the one MC of this book) in books 1 and 2 and I was super intrigued by his story and really wanted to find out what happened with him. It was so sad and I’m so glad he was able to find his mate and a family to be with. Couldn’t imagine what he went through! I loved when he finally realized that he needed Morgan and let his dislike for all humans go!
Morgan was almost obsessively positive regarding Jude. Once he met him absolutely nothing else in his life mattered except for finding Jude again. It definitely helped with how Jude treated him and needing to leave his home. He took everything in stride and was super easygoing about it which I think Jude needed!
Overall I loved this story. It can be read as a standalone if need be but I highly recommend reading the other two first as we see those characters and their home a lot in this book. Another thing I absolutely loved! Can’t wait for the next book!
Rejected Wolf by Trisha Linde is the 3rd book in her Grim Wilds series. I suggest you read the others first to find out about reoccurring characters and also what pack life is like for those who live there. This is the story of a man/wolf who had a traumatic childhood that almost made him give up his human mate. Jude Parr was born in a lab where humans studied and basically tortured people who were able to turn into wolves. He was there with his omega father and 2 brothers and a sister who all disappeared leaving him alone. He was able to escape and almost died until he ran into members of the Grim Wilds pack in the woods and they took him in, taught him what he needed to know to survive with them, and they became his family. He was getting somewhat jealous of how they all found their mates and had pups when he smelled his mate. Morgan Pettyfer, a human, decided he needed to go camping in the woods but was not good at it. He felt something for the wolf he saw across the river and watched as he turned into a man and then left him. It was Jude and since humans had hurt him and his family there was no way that one could be his mate so he left as fast as he could. Morgan didn’t know what had come over him but he wanted to know more about the wolfman so he kept going back to the woods in hopes of seeing him again. This need was overpowering and he saw a counselor and told others of what he saw but no one believed him. It was getting to be winter and he went again but this time got in big trouble and Jude saved him. He still couldn’t face him and left but Morgan was able to give him his address. Jude talked to his pack alpha Shan, Beta Tristan, and Vesta their shaman and all of them told him that if Morgan was his mate he needed to go to him. He felt the mate bond so did go and helped him with food and rent but was not going to stay and be his mate. Meanwhile, Eric, or Dr. Taylor from the lab, had found Morgan and realized he could help him find Jude to take him back there, but Morgan didn’t trust him and would not do anything to help him. Finally, Jude came to his senses and talked to Morgan which led to some hot love scenes and an eventual biting so they became mates. He also took him back to the Grim Wilds Pack to live where everyone welcomed him, even though he was human. The doctors from the lab were not giving up and there were several epic scenes of fights and ambushes that could have led to disaster but luckily did not. Jude and Morgan were reunited, told each other “I love you”, and had a happy ending, including a surprise bundle of joy, but there may be other fights to come as more labs were discovered. I really enjoyed this story. I love how the Grim Wilds pack is growing and becoming more modern. Jude went through a lot and was stubborn when it came to mating a human but once he got to know Morgan and fell in love he was all in. Even though Morgan was human he felt the mating bond from the beginning and knew he had to do everything he could to get to Jude and be with him. The pack members played an important role in getting them together as well as defending themselves when needed. Dr. Gray and Dr. Taylor were definitely evil and I was happy to see that they got what was coming to them. I highly recommend this book especially if you like paranormal stories involving fated mates between a wolf who needs to come to his senses about fated mates and a human who loved him from the beginning with some suspense thrown in before they can get their happy ending.
Whew, I knew Jude’s story was going to be hard, but the angst was much higher than I was even expecting. The rejected-mate trope kicked it up a notch (which I typically avoid for that reason). Jude absolutely has his reasons for being reluctant and afraid, but I do wish he’d groveled a bit more after deciding to be with Morgan. “Grovel” isn’t the right word, but I was hurting so bad for, and along with, Morgan, that I really wanted to see something more from Jude…just to try to explain to Morgan better about why he rejected him more than once.
Once Jude realizes Morgan isn’t going to hurt him, and may actually be in danger because of him, the relationship angst resolves (thank goodness!), but the outside angst of Jude potentially being captured and experimented on again (as well as Morgan and the rest of the pack) takes over. I was so nervous and afraid most of the book. Which is great evidence that this author is an excellent storyteller. I was literally feeling the characters’ feelings and emotions.
This story does end a bit in a HFN situation…only on the story/plot though. I wanted to see the rescue of more than just the one happen in this book, but I understand why that will happen in Silas’ book. He needs a semi-redemption story and a HEA. I hope it’s as good of an ending to the series as I’m hoping. I’ve really enjoyed it overall.
4.5 stars Jude has such a horrifyingly tragic past, one that is truly heartbreaking, and is the reason he takes a long time to finally accept that fate gave him a human mate for a reason. Morgan becomes obsessed with finding his wolfman again, he knows they are meant to be together. Both MC's are really likeable men, and once they start really getting to know one another, I enjoyed their playfulness, their obvious connection, and their determination and dedication to one another. Their journey has a bumpy start, but once they are committed, it is beautiful for them and leads to a sweet love and HEA. Unfortunately, it gets very dangerous and violent for them and for the pack. I love that this pack is made up of really wonderful characters that stick together and will do whatever it takes for each other.
The ARC I read has missing, wrong, or extra words and typos that will hopefully be fixed for the final copy. I felt like the background for Morgan could have been more detailed - for example, why was he seeing a therapist? Overall, this was a really enjoyable book with plenty of action, great characters, and love. A great addition to this series.

If you love MM/Mpreg wolf shifter stories, you will love this one. Morgan is human, but when he is out camping, he sees a wolf but knows that he won’t hurt him, then he sees the wolf turn into a man and recognises the wolf is his. Jude is a wolf shifter who broke away from a facility where he grew up in, there, they did experiments on the shifters, his omega father told him that when got a chance, he was to run. Jude made it to the Grim Wilds pack, where they welcomed him and made him pack. When he sees Morgan, he recognise that he is human, and he thought that fate was wrong in pairing him with him. as time progressed, they were no longer able to be separated, but there was still a danger out there. It seems that it had followed Morgan to wear the pack lands were. Jude knew he had to destroy the enemy, but in doing that he learned that his father was still alive, and his siblings, quite possibly could be at other testing facilities. Morgan and Jude became mates and had a baby girl, but knew that their fight was still going to find Jude siblings.. for now there is a happily ever after for this couple.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
Book 3 of this series did not disappoint, such wonderful complex characters, a human mate Mpreg and a brilliant plot that keeps you on your toes!
Jude is a wolf shifter who was raised in a lab where he and his family were experimented on by humans. He has such deep emotional scars from his upbringing but the Grim Wilds pack have given him a purpose and a family, showing him how to survive in the outside world.
Morgan is the most unlikely person you would expect to find outdoors but after watching a survival show he borrows some camping equipment and heads for the wild outdoors. When he comes across a wolf he's not afraid, instead he feels drawn to it and the word 'mine' bounces around his head.
Two very opposite people, fate is drawing them together and showing them the possibilities if they'll just take the chance.
A brilliant story about pushing through your own emotional trauma to open yourself up to what could be.

Escaping from the lab which killed his parents and siblings, wolf shifter Jude Parr was barely alive when he stumbled upon the Grim Wild pack. Now, some years later the other wolves are finding their mates and making...... babies. To his horror. Morgan Pettyfer, a human, gets the urge to go camping after watching a nature show. Drawn to the wolf he sees by the river, he watches as it turns into a man. Jude was hurt by humans and isn't so happy fate gave him one as a mate. Lots of angst later, they do get together. And their chemistry is extremely hot. Jude is grumpy as all get out and Morgan is quite sunny. They work well as a mated pair. The story has suspense and action. Together they confront the doctors who made Jude's early life a nightmare. The other wolves of the Grim Wilds pack make supportive secondaries. Very good worldbuilding. It's a sweet romance, a quick read. And lots of fun. More Grim Wilds, please. I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my review.
Jude Parr is an alpha wolf shifter desperately wanting a family. One day in the woods, as he shifts from wolf to man, his transformation is witnessed by human omega Morgan Pettyfer who had been camping there. Both of them realize they are drawn to each other since the human is actually Jude’s fated mate. However, Jude has been cruelly abused in a lab by humans in his past and wants no part of what Fate has now chosen for him, so he runs off. Morgan, however, knows they belong together and begins his relentless search for the stranger who was meant for him. Will Morgan’s kind disposition and loving heart help to heal Jude? Will his search for the wolf alert the evil men who hunt for him? Can Jude rely on his pack family to help him get through this? Or will Jude be compelled to keep running, unable to face a past too painful to re-live?
This is book 3 of the Grim Wilds series and I was able to enjoy it as a standalone. This is the story of Jude and Morgan. Jude is an alpha wolf who has been through hell at the hands of human scientists. Believing that he is too broken for a mate, he is shocked when he finds one. But his mate is human. That is impossible for Jude to accept. Morgan is an omega human and once he sees his alpha wolf shifter, he is all in. He is determined to find him again and make him his. Luckily when he finally does, Jude is open to the idea. This is their story. Of course they have evil doers that need to be vanquished. They have to work for the HEA. The book is well written and easy to read. I hope that this storyline continues.

“Why are you doing this to me?” “Because I love you,” he whispered breathlessly “You don’t even know me” His hand caressed my cheek with the tenderest gesture I’d ever felt. “My soul recognizes yours.”
I really enjoyed this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Jude and Morgan. They were so sweet together, through Jude avoided him at first. What he's been through and his and his family's history with humans was heartbreaking and so his avoidance and reluctance was completely understandable. But when they began to bond, I loved how he saw Morgan was precious and didn't want to hurt him. Jude was strong and came so far, yet also had a layer of insecurity and uncertainty. I was so rooting for these two! The story also had danger and suspense, and I loved the supporting characters. 5 stars.
I was so excited for Jude's book! He intrigued me from the beginning and just seemed like such a sweetheart, so I was so sad that the book started of really disappointing to me. I loved the blurb and I LOVE that the human was immediately obsessed and fought for the wolf. This went on way to long though. Jude's rejections were so heartbreaking and made me cry, poor Morgan. It took basically half the book till they got together, which felt way way too long. The second half of the book was definitely better and bumped up my rating to 4 stars.
I still love Jude though and I even get why he didn't want a human as a mate. His upbringing was horrifying. Morgan was amazing too! I loved how fearless he was and that he basically was 'welp I just saw a wolf turn into a man, I love him'. Honesty, I would probably be the same lol.
Their story was bumpy at the start but got so good.
"I was so scared to love you, because I it would curse you or something."
This is book 3 in the Grim Wilds series by Trisha Linde. When I saw the opportunity to get this on Booksprout I jumped at the chance, the first two books were so good I had high expectations for this one as well. Let's just say, I was not disappointed.
‘Joo-Joo’ - Jude gets his book!!! I couldn't have been happier. The mystery surrounding Jude's background is finally laid bare. Now we see why he is the way that he is. When fate reveals Morgan as his mate Jude is sure fate made a mistake.
Be sure to read these stories in series order to get a fuller understanding of what's going on.
Fated mates, grumpy/sunshine, Vesta still has some life left in her
This has been such a great, magical series and this book was a brilliant addition. I was so pleased Jade who is an Alpha wolf shifter met his mate after watching all his friends pair off with their fated mates. However his mate is human which is a big no for him making him feel like he's being paid back for the secret he's been keeping and the past mistakes he’s made. Luckily for him human omega Morgan has complete faith that the wolf he sees turn into a man and run away is his and starts to search for him. A great relationship journey ensues and Jade gets to put his past behind him so he can get his own hea. Great series and hoping there will be more even though this says book 3 of 3!.

Jude lives in Grim Wilds with the pack that accepted him when he was younger and knew nothing about being a wolf or anything about being in a pack. His past was full of his dad and siblings and all of them living in a lab, being experimented on. But once he escaped he never wanted to go back.
Deciding to go camping on his own, for the very first time, Morgan gets in trouble and sees a wolf on the side of a creek that then turns into a man! Morgan knows that the wolf is his. Somehow the wolf belongs to him!
I really enjoyed the third book in the Grim Wilds series. I’m hoping it continues and the evil scientists get what’s coming to them and all the shifters being detained are released!.

It was a nice read! You have Morgan a Human Omega who stumbles onto his Fated Mate-Jude, not knowing that's the reason he feels so drawn to this "hot" man who in order to escape the pull turns into a wolf!!. However Morgan soon realises that the world-his world is full of disbelieving sceptics. Jude has been watching his friends and fellow pack mates find their fated mates, having kids and living their best lives. He wants that! Just never with a Human of all things! How can fate do this?!
All in all I really enjoyed it! I just wish like always when you find a great series or book that it was longer! I didn't want it to end!.

Rejected Wolf is the third book in the Grim Wilds series. This book can be read as a standalone but I think it's better after reading the first two books in the series. This is the story of Jude grumpy an alpha wolf shifter and Morgan a human omega with a happy personality. We finally get to find out about Judes past and what a sad past it is. I love these two and how complex they are. I love watching them grow into their relationship. I loved all that went into this book including the danger and treachery that comes. I can't wait for the next book in the series. I would definitely recommend this book and series.
There is a song that says that you get what you need instead of what you want. This should be Jude’s anthem because he wants a fated mate but then doesn’t want Morgan because he’s human. It’s a fairly common trope in Mpreg stories but this is a great take on it by Trisha Linde. I really enjoyed Morgan who keeps trying to tell people about what he saw and how he feels and gets various not helpful responses. I do like that it’s the human who is trying to chase the wolf instead of the more common paranormal creature seeing their mate and going after them. Good read.

Persistance, pays! Jude, is an alpha wolf watching his pack mates find their mates and start families. He feels himself undeserving of the happiness of finding his mate because of his less than stellar past. Morgan, a human omega witnesses a wolf transforming into a man. Instead of panicking, he is accepting of the wolf man as belonging to him. Jude, can't believe his mate is human. Morgan, is determined to find his wolf man. Fun story of watching Morgan search for his man and Jude tap dancing away. Great support pack, good story of self awareness, determination, forgiveness, acceptance and sexy times. Great cover art! Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved Rejected Wolf: Book 3 of Grim Wilds. Jude has a lot in his past that still haunts him. He struggles with this. Fate has brought him Morgan as his mate. Jude has a hard time accepting Morgan as his mate and thinking he’s worthy of him. Thankfully, Morgan has enough faith for both of them. Unfortunately, Jude’s past comes back to haunt them but they are stronger together and overcome the obstacles in the end. This book does end with a HEA. This book has a little danger and a lot of love. I would definitely recommend this book.

This book is amazing! The story of Jude and Morgan is filled with love, loss, past trauma, a bit of danger and is an absolute must read! Jude struggles to overcome his past and has trouble accepting the mate Fate has chosen for him. I love how Morgan refuses to give up on Jude when he won’t accept what is right in front of him. There are a few bumps in the road and there will be danger from Jude’s past but they will overcome it in the end and get their happily ever after.

After Jude's mistreatment by humans, he can't handle finding his fated mate in a human omega, Morgan. He is torn between his wolf's need to protect his mate and his rejection of Morgan as a man. Morgan is thrilled to find a mate even if he is a wolf shifter. Everyone thinks Morgan is crazy except for the bad men. Morgan is a delightfully sunshiny person and Jude is the perfect grump. More intrigue and treachery hits the Grim Wild as they strengthen their pack. I received a copy of this book and this is my voluntary opinion.
Jude is a wolf shifter who suffered horrific trauma from humans. Morgan is a sweet human omega who's in the woods camping alone. When they meet, Jude immediately knows they're fated mates and Morgan feels something. As much as Jude wants to deny the bond, he can't because fate has already decided. Morgan also won't stop searching for him. These two had a hard road to their HEA but it was so well deserved. There's plenty of fast paced action, danger, drama and betryal that kept me on the edge of my seat.
I truly love mpreg stories and this one is really great. I enjoyed the fact that a human was brought into the shifter world and fit in perfectly. I definitely can’t wait to see if they find the other lab and free more of the prisoners who are being forced to stay and are being tested to learn more about who and what they are and can do. I definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves mpreg stories and how they come together as a family.

I have been waiting for Jude’s story and it did not disappoint! Morgan was so perfect for Jude! Persistent in his claims that Rumpy was his! I read this book in less than a day; I could not put it down. Action packed, pack that is family, fated mates, steam and a great HEA. I hope we get more stories from this world. Silas needs a mate and the other facilities need shut down!.

I loved this series. Grim Wilds pack have an interesting bunch and every character has a lovely story. This couple didn't disappoint with their romance story and the outside drama. everything was top-notch from love to story. The outside story captivated me; their romance was pretty cute although a bit angsty at the beginning. I do have to say that it was on the low angst level.

That was a nice insta love read. If you are looking for something deep, something that hits you in the gut this is not it. But if you are looking for a shifter book, that makes you smile, with found family, and slight suspense this is that book. They were a cute couple and it was nice to see Jude find his mate.
For future me; Dual POV Strict roles Insta lust No cheating/sharing Does have knots, and mating marks
I had been awaiting Jude story. I knew his past was going to be bad but I didn't realize just how bad. I totally love Morgan for him. I still cry when I read about the relationship between Tristan and Vesta. I know that Silas is not a member of pack Grim Wilds but I'm wondering if his mate isn't going to be one of Jude's siblings.
