It's been a while since I read a really good book but then this came along! Special Agent Addison Shine and Agent Javier Esposito are sent along to the mortuary to look at the body of a young woman who was attacked and killed on the second floor of a car park. When they arrive they wonder why the body is under a small tent. Then the medical examiner or it might have been the coroner, we have different people here, removes the said tent and they both gasp. The woman's body has been cut and twisted into different shapes and posed before rigor mortis finally set in. This is a new one on them.

However over the coming next few days they have to get used to viewing young women's bodies cut, pushed and pulled around into different poses when they have been killed. It's holding your attention as this is something which is just so unusual. They have no clear leads and when they do stumble across something which sounds promising they fall flat on their faces, well Addison does as she is the hyperactive one of the pair, Javier is the calmer level headed one. Although they actually make a pretty good team. They fall down a few holes but they finally do like good FBI agents get their man (after a few bad attempts!). I think I will go on to check this author out and see what other books she has written.

These thrillers are fast paced and quick to get through in one or two sittings.
This is the second book in the Addison Shine series that follows an fbi agent and her partner as they solve active cases while Addison is also trying to investigate her sisters cold case on the side of her daily work.
In this 2nd book we have a killer who is posing his kills in artistic ways. There was no way to guess the killer because we weren't introduced to them at any time in the story until they got revealed so there is that.

Special Agent Addison Shine and Agent Javier Esposito are presented with a new disturbing murder case that eventually turns into a serial killer crime spree. It was hard at first to read the horrible gory discriptions; but I couldn't stop reading "Find Her". The author's well crafted prose had me wanting more; and reading page after page like an addiction. I will be reading more books by Kate Bold !

First book by this author. Decent crime mystery. I liked the characters well enough. But I was surprised at some of the abrupt conclusions they reached with no real facts to back them up. I don’t believe real law edit enemy, especially FBI would do that. But the crime and mystery itself kept my attention.

The writing is heavy handed and the characters are internally inconsistent. The author explains rather than describes the characters’ thoughts and emotions. I enjoy a quick mystery but the plot could not make up for the absence of style. The audiobook version was obviously read by AI and was riddled with inconsistencies and mispronunciations.

This book had a lot of spelling mistakes, not properly proof read obviously. I would have rated it higher but for this.
