A wonderful second installment following the first Scars and Stripes! This novella continues where the first left off – one of their own has been attacked and Kingsley orders a halt to everything. Worried about Nora’s safety, he assigns a bodyguard to her, who ends up being Lance, the quintessential Prince Charming from the first novella. Kingsley has his stipulations though, and it means no sex.

This novella was a little different from the first but just as enjoyable. For one, some secrets are revealed and so I got to delve into the character’s deeper emotions and psyche – as a reader who craves emotional connection with characters I absolutely loved this part! The novella ends on a very high note:

“If she couldn’t have Lance, she’d have the one and only man who she wanted more than him tonight.”

And, of course, Sinners we all know who that is ;)

***3.5 Stars***

Not much I can say about 29 pages? It was your typical filler installment...getting some background on Lance, setting up the suspense element of the story, moving the plot along...

But that ending...

Oh man...I'm anxious and giddy with excitement to crack open the next book...oh the possibilities!!

**The Last Good Knight: An Original Sinners novella told in five parts.

The Last Good Knight novellas take place 3 years before the start of The Siren. Nora has just turned 30 and is the most famous Dominatrix in The 8th circle!

Our ex-Navy Seal, Lance, has been instructed by Kinglsey to protect Nora from a possible dangerous stalker….. AND, more importantly for Nora, this means a NO SEX rule!

Will Lance stick to the rules?
If he does, how will Nora gain satisfaction?

We learn more about Lance and the clients of Mistress Nora... The story continues to unfold.

The lovely feelings
Part 2 shows the beautiful relationship and love between the various characters, and their care towards each other.

♥ Kingsley.
♥ Lance is dreamy and sexy.

The relationship between Nora and Soren, wherever in the timeline it may be, continues to be one that I adore and long to read about. They light up the page and give me the book tingles.

I love all the references to the Holy Catholic Church and the exploration of it's rules.

The ending of part 2 is just sublime, for me.... Loved it!

Tiffany Reisz captivates me with her own brand of magic. If you're a fan of the The Original Sinners series then this is a must read, provocative tale. If you haven't yet experienced the world of Tiffany Reisz, and you love epic, erotic stories, with a BDSM theme, then what are you waiting for?

Welcome to the Underground.’

Part 2 of The Last Good Knight novella series picks up, with Nora headed to Kingsley’s place to see whats going on. Kingsley wants all of his D’s off the market- no working until they can figure out what’s happened. Of course Nora won’t go for that... he gives her the okay to work. As long as she has a body guard along with her that he’s hired. And guesses to who that body guard may be???

Lance takes the job. And he can’t sleep with the person he’s guarding. No touching, no sex, nothing. Nora isn’t happy about this development.

“I’m seriously going to beat the hell out of him for telling me who I can and can’t fuck.”

Loved getting a little of Lance’s past. The more I learn about him, the more I like. And what about the Judge? I thought he was adorable! These short little novellas are wonderful- more Nora, more Kingsley, more Soren. You really can’t beat that!

Part II is 29 pages of mystery.
WHO DONE IT!

The newcomer, Lance, we met in Scars and Stripes is now Nora's bodyguard. I really liked getting to know more about his past.

Ms. Reisz does a good job making you want more of the story. Luckily this series is set up that the next book comes out the following day.

Poor Nora, Kingsley knows exactly how to punish her, already she is forced to have a bodyguard tag along, but to assign Lance as the bodyguard and put a no touch, no sex rule.... that's just plain MEAN!

Poor Lance, Nora when horny can not be trusted, his control is put to the test...but when his reason for wanting the job more than Nora is revealed, it makes her feel things...things she didn't know she was capable of.

The Last Good Knight Part II: Sore Spots was the break after the heat, full of temptation and other forms of kink with an ending that just makes you swoon. Lance is growing on me, a sexy alpha man who is just as noble and strong as any man but with a strong desire to serve his lady. Love where this is going, onto the next!

This story takes place three years before The Siren and two years after Nora left Søren.

The series continues.....There has been a crime and Kingley is concerned about his ladies. Eveyone needs protection and especially Nora, his very popular Dominatrix. As you can guess, Lance is hired as Nora's bodyguard and they can not have sex, per Kingsley!!

We get to know Lance and also how Nora spends her time. Once again people, its wickedly fabulous, and the end.......Holy Shit!! Needless to say I immediately jumped into #3.

The Dominatrixs in the underground are all in danger because someone has beaten Natasha and until she wakes up Nora will have a body guard. I think readers will only need one guess as to who her body guard will be...

Lance follows Nora around as she meets with clients and handles the fact that Kinglsey gave strict instructions for Lance not to lay a hand on our Nora.

"And if you laid a hand on me-" "What? He'll fire me? I don't get fired." "No," Lance said, turning his head to gaze out of the window. He'll fire me for that, too."

Lance reveals that he has an exwife and a young daugther that he doesn't see much because he was wronged during their court preceedings.

P.S. Soren is never out of Nora's orbit.

I think men exist on this earth to protect women and children. That’s what we’re here for. We make money to protect women and children from the elements by putting a roof over their heads and food on the table. We’re supposed to be physically strong so we can stand up for a woman or a child who’s in danger. We walk women to their cars at night and don’t turn our backs until we see the cars start.

That’s what men should be.

If the BDSM Community ever decides to band together and become, oh I don’t know, a sovereign nation, I think Tiffany Reisz will be its best option as its Ambassador of Goodwill. She really does have a talent of making it all sound so fantastical and dreamy, where everyone’s attractive and men like Lance and Soren exists. Plus she makes great plausible arguments on the safety of what is considered deviant behaviour in vanilla society.

Of course, I’d probably shit bricks and faint (not necessarily in that order) at the sight of a St. Andrews Cross but you know, in terms of diplomatic relations she’s doing a fantastic job selling that fantasy with her Original Sinners series.

So one of the Dommes in the 8th Circle got attacked and someone made some ominous threats on everyone of Kingsley’s employees. Everyone else gets a little spooked and takes a break from the kink except Nora because her clientele include men and women who literally run the world. And in her noblest gesture, Nora risks her life, doing business as usual. Because one of her clients being frustrated for far too long could lead to inflation of gas prices, the accelerated melting of the polar ice caps and the collapse of civilization as we know it.

Kingsley hires Lance to be Nora’s bodyguard as she goes about her altruistic endeavour servicing her clients’ fetishes and special needs with an explicit no-sex rule between the two of them (you’re a novella too late on that one, King). As both Nora and Lance struggle to keep their relationship strictly professional each gets to know the other’s sore spots better.

I quite liked this better than Scars and Stripes (probably because of Mrs. B and her bunions) and while my requisite Nora-induced eye-roll quota was reached a little too early (I think my brain near-seized at her vanity plates. Really, Nora?) I appreciated Lance better here as a hero. I’m still not getting any chemistry between him and Nora though and isn’t buying any of Nora’s profession of her feelings towards him which sounds, at the moment, to be sitting between like and love. I was never really convinced of Nora’s pronouncements whenever she moons over a hot guy in any of the novellas I’ve read from this series. Outside Soren and Wesley, she can’t seem to sell me her supposed emotions.

Despite my love-hate relationship with her, I liked how this clearly portrayed Nora in the context of this novella’s place in the timeline of the series as a whole. Her continuing conflicted feelings towards Vanilla Society rears its head yet again. How she simultaneously hates and yearns for it, is a major plot point in the series after all.

This ends with the promise of Soren in the next book and I will probably get onto that sooner than later… but I just need to take some time to thank Nora and her unicornism (that’s a word. I sez so.) for keeping the world from imploding with her mad kinky skill set.

Thanks, Nora.

What a treat this short stories are, Im loving them...

true blood gif photo: TB-jessica TB_j-gif-04a_tumblrstarsweptnight.gif

Kingsley has decided to cease all activities at The 8th Circle after one the Dominatrixes was severely hurt and sent to the hospital after an apportionment with a mystery client. While the police and everyone else is looking for this dangerous man, everyone in the underworld should lay low until they find him. Nora being herself, always making trouble, tells King she can't stop working and after much argument he gives in but only if a bodyguard accompanies her to all her appointments. After spending a beautiful and kinky night with Lance, he disappeared, so imagine Nora's surprise when he knocks on her door announcing he's her new security, this is bad news because King made them both promise not to have sex or indulge in any type of play, he wants them both to focus and remained unharmed. Lance drives her around and takes her from client to client, and this gives them an opportunity to get to know each other better, and Nora really likes Lance but he is a man of his word and no matter how much Nora tries to seduce him he doesn't give in one inch, leaving Nora horny and frustrated. Even though they are barely speaking right now, the book ends with Nora knocking on Soren's door, brilliant!!!!

4.5 Stars!! Smutty good fun with Mistress Nora and a scrumptious ex-Navy SEAL!!

Once again I was taken with Tiffany Reisz’s writing and snickered and squirmed my way through The Last Good Knight. Nora, Nora, Nora…she takes center stage again and she never fails to amuse me with her snarky comments and commanding feisty attitude. But, I also enjoy seeing her tender side, which Lance really brought out in her. I loved the relationship that these two formed, in and out of the dungeon! If you’ve read The Original Sinners series then you know Nora’s destiny, but it’s fun to read about her adventures and the men she falls for along the way. She has a huge heart even though she rules with an iron whip! There is no doubt that Lance was a man, had the situation been different, that would have knelt before her forever.

As much as I love Nora, what made this read for me was the appearance of Soren! He’s a 10+ star character! He’s intoxicating and there’s something about him that just turns me inside out! I LOVE HIM!! Every time I read about him I want to shout…Halleluiah!! He makes me giddy with glee!! Even though Nora’s head says no to Soren her heart needs him, and when these two “play”, it’s explosive! It was fun going back in time with them and seeing where their relationship is at in this stage of the game.

I just wanted a smidge more in the end where it pertained to Lance and I was a little disappointed; I was smitten with his character and felt the need to know more. However, Tiffany Reisz has written about side characters in shorts of their own, so maybe, just maybe, we’ll hear about Lance again!

Behind all the kink, witty banter and sexy good fun, is a touching story about loss and heartache. I read in the author’s acknowledgements that the basis for this story is real life events. It made me contemplate about what I’d read and it also made me very sad. I hope that other readers think about this story too and understand that while it was an enjoyable fictional read, the circumstances that Lance was dealing with happens to people in real life. I’d say that Tiffany Reisz accomplished what she set out to do; give readers an entertaining story with some of our favorite characters and made a very valid point.

Tiffany Reisz is in a league of her own. No one can quite write erotic comedy with a rich complex story the way she does, and for that reason she’s one of my favorite authors and I worship her!

**One more thing before I go that I feel is worth a mention.** This is part of a serial series, which I’m normally not a fan of. HOWEVER, Tiffany Reisz is only charging $0.99 for each short, which for such an accomplished author is a steal, and is releasing them in 5 consecutive days. She’s also a generous author and has given readers many free juicy tidbits, which I appreciate very much. So, in my opinion…the price is right and she doesn’t leave us hanging, the story completes itself in 5 days. I do wish that eventually, and I’m sure she will, release these books as one complete novella.

Lance and Nora had one encounter, now he’s in charge of protecting her... but he must keep his hands off of her in order to do so and in order to keep his job. In the second installment Nora and Lance are forced to fight their attraction, getting to know things about each other – which ultimately makes resisting that much harder. Nora is feeling something for this man, something she isn’t ready for – but something she’s not willing to walk away from, not yet.

I am one hero type of gal when reading romance/erotica. There have only been a few times when an author can introduce new characters to a story where I can look past my own desires for a HEA and Tiffany Reisz’s books are included in those few. My heart belongs to Soren, but there is something that we get with Lance and Nora that just feels right. She has this way of writing these situations where you don’t get blinded with jealousy, you see each relationship as something different, filling a void, scratching an itch that no single man could reach.

Her writing is pure addiction.

With a potential predator on the loose, Kingsley has hired Nora a bodyguard and of course it's someone she's quite familiar with...Lance. The problem? Kingsley has absolutely forbidden anything other than professional behavior, having no idea that they've already met and been together.

This installment is really interesting because we get to see Nora's everyday Dominatrix gig. It's not all sex and pain 24/7 and it was pretty awesome to meet one of her more... unique clients. There's also a much deeper feel to this part of the story.
She liked him and she didn't like that she liked him. Like led to love and love led to nasty complications.

I had no idea I'd be so open to Nora with another man besides the ones I've already grown to love, but surprisingly, I am. I really like Lance and we get to see another side of him here and learn about some of his not so pretty past.

The end really left me wanting more.
If she couldn't have Lance, she'd have the one and only man who she wanted more than him tonight.

Lance's character is fleshed out more, but I still don't care about him. And I didn't like how he and Nora shamed his ex-wife for losing interest in sex (or at least sex with Lance, though no mention of her shagging anyone else). Shaming asexuality isn't any more moral than shaming allosexuality.

A nice second chapter in the five-part serial, The Last Good Knight, by the ever amazing Tiffany Reisz.

"Sore Spots" had a little bit of a filler feel, functioning to establish some plot elements that I think will carry us through the remainder of the series. However, that wasn't a bad thing. Though it didn't blow me away and there is almost no sex content, Tiffany Reisz never fails to entertain me. I always get wrapped up in her well developed characters and her perfect sense of pacing.

So far, this is a must buy serial for all Tiffany Reisz fans. On to the next!

Tiffany Reisz’s books are the top of any BDSM book I’ve ever read, and this isn't the exception. This book is pure kink from beginning to end, but I wouldn't expect less from a story of Nora Sutherlin.
Mistress Nora is The Queen of the Underground and she does what and who she wants.

“She wore black thigh-high boots decorated with dozen silver buckles, a red leather skirt, red corset, black jacket and a black top hat complete with red band”

In this story, Nora is enjoying her life as a dominatrix, especially when she meets Lance, a hot marine who is willing to be all she wants him to be, and all she doesn’t even know she wants or needs.

“But I do see a lady in this room, the most beautiful lady I’ve seen in a long time. She’s strong, smart and completely comfortable with who and what she is”

The connection between them is evident since the moment they met, and not only in the dungeon, but in every other way. He accepts what she is, what she does and all her needs. He wants to protect her and be with her forever, but the odds aren’t in their side.

There was this part I loved at the end of the book, when Nora and Lance were together, there was complete devotion to each other.

Of course, Nora is still affected by Søren, even though she finds out what she really wants for her life, she denies it anyway because søren is still a big part of her life and he is always in her thoughts and affects all her decisions. They still have each other, and nobody knows Nora better than Søren, and for better or worse, he gives her the answers she needed to help Lance. I adored every part of the book with Søren, when she goes looking for him, when he knew what was going in her mind, when they argued, they are all sign of their love to each other.

“Mine,” Søren said. “You are mine. That’s who you are”

 photo 1897935_10152966943466490_2460767479358782889_n_zpsdfb507d3.jpg

Nora’s sense of humor isn’t missing in this book, she and her smart mouth cracked me up with every kinky joke, most of all if it’s full of irony.

What I liked the most of every part:

Part 1: The new lover of Nora is HOT and is the best male submissive ever!!

“I’m going to beat the shit out of you tonight and fuck you. And then probably fuck you again, and you call me a lady?”

Part 2: What she likes the most of Lance reminds her of Søren

“Søren alone has the same air of ‘this is me, take it or leave it’ that she’d seen in Lance”

Part 3: Nora can’t forget about Søren and I don’t think she will ever forget about him. The way he knows her and gets her naked in every level is perfection and true love.

“Tonight she needed to be his, needed to submit, needed to be the one on her knees”

Part 4: One of the things I love so much about Nora is that while she loves Søren endlessly, she can also love other men, and she fell for lance so fast and hard.

“You’re mine today”

Part 5: Every second Nora and Lance spent together.

“My property. My possession. My slave and servant. My knight and my protector.”

Sore Spots is the second installment of Tiffany Reisz's serialized book The Last Good Knight. Part 2 comes out the day after part 1 so there isn't a long wait in between installments.
These chapters take place 3 years before The Siren.

I think that fans of The Original Sinners will love this. It's always nice to be an observer in Nora's world and she does have a way of getting your attention with her antics (among other things). In this part, we learn the reason behind Soren's insistent knocking and interruption of her time with Lance. We are treated to a visit to Kingsley's townhouse, where Kingsley tells Nora she needs a bodyguard and who better than ex-Navy SEAL Lance. This does mean that they can't have sex which is frustrating Nora as she believes that she has found the perfect sub in Lance.

We learn more about Lance's background as well, including his former married life and his little girl.

Nora does find a way to relieve some of her frustration and she sneaks off to have some Soren time, reminding us how difficult it is for her to stay away from him.

Two of my favorite quotes:
"Stop being so damn Catholic. That's Soren's job.
"He's only six-four. He only seems eight feet tall because his ego is eight feet tall.
Definitely something fun to read while waiting for the release of The Saint.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin MIRA for a review copy of this book.

The answer to why I liked Part Two of The Last Good Knight can be summed up in one sentence: “Je t’adore, mon roi.”

Yes, it's because of Kingsley!

It's no secret I'm team Kingsley, and that my favorite parts of the series are the ones that star the King. I just love that arrogant Frenchman. After this, I love him even more. That crisis in the kinky community caused panic among the members, and gave the King a really bad headache. Though I felt awful for all of them, I loved how that situation showed how Kingsley took care of his people, and to get another example of his feelings for Juliette. I wish we got to see more of that relationship. Keeping my fingers crossed for The King. Seeing how Kingsley hid his submissive side was an added bonus. Suffice it to say, I got an unexpected dose of King, which is always a good thing.

But enough about Kingsley, Lance was back in a new role of Nora's bodyguard, and he told his story to Nora, and like Nora it made me sad, and it made angry. Really angry. I was quite amazed how Lance was dealing with it. Like a real knight. It just made me like him more. Though I knew it was silly, I started to root for Nora and Lance to make it.

Being Nora's bodyguard would have been great for both him and Nora given their mutual attraction had there not been Kingsley's strict rules. I would have felt sorry for them, but I honestly can't, because that led Nora to a certain someone's house.

Oh, and that Nora's client was the sweetest, but now to Part Three and that certain someone.

Forbidden fruit is always sweeter, isn't it? Especially for Nora who is always the rebel and believes rules are made to be bent. Sexy newbie to the club is Lance, Kingsley employee for the 8th Circle. He's going to be Nora's bodyguard since the attack on one of their friends. Working alone as a dominatrix can leave a woman vulnerable. Kingsley will take no chances in Nora's safety.

Part two of this serial is written in a manner best described as edging. Ms. Reisz teases the reader over and over again with possible Lance and Nora sexy time. It's denied because Kingsley specifically states no sex and no kinky shenanigans. It a lovely bit of foreplay with complications. Nora switches to another sexual outlet. If she cannot dominate a temping submissive, she'll need a dose of heavy submission herself. This brief coming together with Nora and Søren is like tasting a bit of heaven only to be cast out before one fully enjoys a meal. Søren is just as sexy in this story as he is in the Original Sinner Series. This serial ends just as it starts to get good. Recommended for kinky readers who enjoy deferred gratification.

Je t'adore, mon roi.

I swear the little french thrown in here and there totally makes me tingle.
I LOVE Tiffany Reisz's work. Her writing is absolutely fantastic.

The Last Good Knight - Scares and Stripes introduces us to a new character Lance. The novella series takes place three years before The Siren.

The first part of the novella is totally hot...

Now onto the second part
The Last Good Knight - Sore Spots

I love how Lance is slowly opening up to Nora and then BAM.

I AM GOING TO CUT A BITCH UP.

gotta love books which evoke strong emotions from a reader.

Its kinda going like a mystery till now, and I'm loving it.

I love how small unique characters are introduces as and when the story builds and continues.

5 Revealing Stars

Sore Spots is Part II of The Last Good Knight. Lance becomes Nora's untouchable bodyguard. Unable to get back into Lance's pants, thanks to Kingsley, Nora opts for getting inside Lance's head and with their new found relationship she succeeds. We also explore some of Nora's history with Soren in conjunction with Lance's revealings. Written well as always with engaging characters and the ever-charismatic Nora, Sore Spots provides excellent reading. And with that ending you'll want to jump right into Part III - there's a special, arrogant, blonde god waiting at the beginning.

3.5 stars ~ This review publishes on A Weebish Book Blog on 11/20/2017.

When a former employee is brutalized Kingsley Edge will do anything to keep his female employees safe. Especially if it means pissing off his top paid Dominatrix. Unable to stop Nora from seeing clients, he hires Lance as her bodyguard and takes sex and kink off the table until the criminal is caught. Driven by sexual frustration and the urge to help her troubled ex-SEAL, Nora seeks comfort and advice from the only man she's ever run away from.

She liked him and she didn't like that she liked him. Like led to love and love led to nasty complications. Although with Lance at least there were no foreseeable nasty complications that involved the Vatican. One more check in the plus column for that guy.

Sadly, SORE SPOTS sports no Nora and Lance sex scenes but never fear because there is always fun and delightful ways to bend the rules when Nora is around. Who's surprised that Nora finds loopholes when Kingsley starts barking out orders? Not me.

While the troubled sub and the mischievous Dominant grow ever closer (except, ya know, sexually), Nora's Domme "the sub needs fixing, I have to help" instincts flair when she learns more background about Lance's situation.

All-in-all SORE SPOTS delivers another kinky, oddly emotional, and drool-worthy adventure to The Last Good Knight.

The Characters

I’m liking Nora more and more. She’s a very strong woman and she cares deeply about her friends and clients. Her fear of monogamy is strange but I’m sure she has her reasons and I’m sure we’ll find out what they are when the time is right.

The Story

After a vicious attack on another Domme, Nora is forced to take on a bodyguard. To my wicked heart’s delight Lance is the man assigned to protect her. They have that spark, y’all and they can’t stop thinking about each other but due to Lance’s employer they can’t act on it. Enter delicious sexual tension. I’m loving this and cackling with glee!

I was delighted to learn more about Lance’s past two. I really do wish Nora could b*tch slap his ex. I mean what is wrong with the woman, not wanting Lance? She needs her head examined.

Have I told you lately that I hate serials....But I love Nora & Soren so I'm listening to this new serial. This part was a little boring but only because it was so short! I'm glad to see Vance is still around and wasn't just a 1 time character. Moving onto part 3....

Great narration <3

And the plot thickens, again I love more of Mistress Nora this might have not been what I was expecting but I have a feeling this client might work in everyone’s favor…. Hmm we will just have to wait and find out.
Also more LANCE! I am really enjoying his character. I hope they find the bad guy soon too.

The narration is ok she is a good Nora not so great with the male voices, her Kingsley wasn’t too bad she did the French better than Guy Locke did.

I kind of expected these to be 5 stories that connect but about different people. Didn't realize we were sticking with Nora and Lance throughout this short series. However, I'm ok with that. I love the relationship between these two.
