Jilted brides are not supposed to have this much fun. Especially when the fun involves a bottle of red, a sexy man and getting naked in the gazebo at midnight. "
Jess Dee lives in beautiful Sydney, Australia, with her husband, their two sons and their insane dog - a ridiculously overweight puggle named Luigi.
An avid romance reader since her early teens, Jess knew one day, when she grew up, she’d have to write her own love stories. It might have taken a while, but in December of 2005, she finally got “the call.” Her first book, Photo Opportunity had been contracted. Now you can’t hold her down. She’s completed a whole host of books, and is finally doing the work she loves most— writing romance.
One of my biggest problems with Jess Dee has been she delivers on the seduction, but lacks with the substance. She came back swinging and proved me wrong with Red, Red Wine. Her signature sex appeal was evident but this time she brought a deeper meaning to the tale. Like a fine wine that is slowly aged for a more flavorful delivery, Ms. Dee tackled the hidden layers of Tori and Andrew. That breathing room made for a temptingly sensitive romance that just got better with time.
Tori’s wedding at the vineyard has her floating on air even as she meets another man who makes her almost forget her fiance. When Tori finds out her fiance is going to cancel the wedding, Andrew finds Tori and the sparks continue to fly. Their relationship is HOT! But Tori feels like she needs to learn who she is as an individual, and says good-bye to Andrew. Will they find each other again or is truly the end of their relationship?
Ok, I enjoyed the first book, but this one I LOVED. This one had more of a story which I felt the first one lacked. Great characters and of course great hot sex. Kept me turning the page.
I received this ARC copy of this book from NetGallery for an honest review. I give this book 5 stars. The storyline between Tori and Andrew was well written and worth read more than once.
Red Red Wine Days is sexy, emotionally layered and just plain enjoyable reading. Tori is flying high as she arrives at the boutique hotel/vineyard where she's about to get married to the love of her life. On the way into the hotel she bumps into a hot guy who helps her with her luggage. A little flirting happens, but Tori's about to get married so she lets Andrew down gently after he tells her she's the sexiest thing he's ever seen and that she glows with happiness. Well she should be glowing, she's about to get married!
Cue a few hours later when Andrew finds her beside herself, drinking the vineyard's wine. She had found out her fiancé was planning on bailing on the wedding and hadn't even told her. Yep...
Andrew and Tori jump into a hot, steamy affair between the jilted woman and the man who was supposed to be de-stressing and lowering his blood pressure, but can it last beyond their time at the hotel? Can Tori really just move into another relationship after her engagement so abruptly ended? Can Andrew make it work with the woman who brings him so peace and balance?
Red Red Wine Days is one of those books you go into thinking it's going to be all heat and flash without a lot of depth. But, boy is that not the case. Andrew and Tori are real, substantive people. She knows after being dumped that she has to find her way in the world without a partner. She needs to find herself and heal. And she finds she's an awesome person who's in love with another awesome person. Andrew went to the hotel when his business partner and friend literally forced him to go. His blood pressure was through the roof, his ulcer was worsening, and all he did was worry about his parents' declining health, and work. Not exactly the picture of a happy, well-adjusted person. When he started his deeply passionate affair with Tori, he found himself, too. Thank God Blake forced him to take a break!
I have read the follow up to Red Red Wine Days, Kisses Sweeter than Wine, Declan's (Tori's ex-fiancée who was planning on bailing on the wedding) story, and I have to say it gave this story even more depth. If I hadn't read it first, I still would have liked and enjoyed Red Red Wine Days, but knowing Declan's story (and it's not pretty either) helped give Red Red Wine Days even more dimension. That said, Tori's story stands completely on its own and is enjoyable either way. Kudos to Jess Dee for this sexy, emotionally balanced story.
I received an ARC through NetGalley for an honest review.
Holy smokes I loved this book, it is truly a love at first sight book even when one of the interested parties is not available. The instant connection, the sense of rightness, the smoldering heat, the lust, and even the easy sexy banter made it so obvious these two belong together but one is getting married in a couple of days and the other is dealing with family issues and is working to improve his health so it’s not meant to be, or is it? Andrew Stafford is not happy about being forced into taking time off by his business partner but once he arrives at the Rolling Hills vineyard even he feels a sense of peace and when he lays eyes on Victoria (Tori) Worthing he is instantly attracted not only physically but mentally. Until she drops the bomb that she is there to get married. I’m going to admit right then and there I was like, “no fair Jess, seriously not fair” because from the moment they meet the reader just understands they belong together. They both feel it which sends Tori running to her fiancé’s room where she gets quite a shock. I really loved these two together because from that first moment they meet you can feel they belong together; they were two people who met the right person and the very worst time yet it still felt right. Yes, Tori is on the rebound big time and yes Andrew is there to pick up the pieces and I give him a lot of credit for holding back as much as he did because he’s a nice guy and he’s not one to take advantage. They both agree starting up something isn’t wise and it will only be short time but their connection is just so strong. These two really cannot keep their hands, lips, and other body parts to themselves; they burn up ever surface they touch and they touch a lot of them. This is one sex fueled story BUT (and I do stress that); they also learn a lot about each other during their time together. They share so much of themselves with each other and yes those pesky feelings of “something more” start to creep in. This book is one of those feel good romances and one I could easily see made into a Lifetime movie, well except Lifetime would make it boring because they’d cut out all the really hot scenes. It was nice to read a book without a lot of conflict between the characters just that feeling of rightness, of knowing they belong together like two pieces of a puzzle finally finding each other. Red, Red Wine left me with a feeling of satisfaction knowing that sometimes even when you think you are at your darkest hour there is a light that helps you through; Andrew and Tori were each other’s light they just took a little convincing to believe it.
I’m in a state of total bliss after reading Red Red Wine, and I cannot begin tell you enough how much I enjoyed this story from the very talented Jess Dee. Now I must admit to you guys that the whole jilted bride thing has never been my favorite kind of trope to read in my romances, but I had no doubt that Jess could sway me. She has an amazing ability to create characters you just can’t help but fall in love with, and she is able to capture such deep emotions between her characters for how short her stories are. To put it really quite simply, the woman’s talent amazes me.
"Fall as hard as you need to, I'll catch you."
So, now I need to get back to the subject at hand with Red Red Wine. Andrew Stafford is working himself into an early grave, and his business partner forces him to take a much-needed holiday. Upon his arrival, he is met with the drop-dead gorgeous Tori Worthing. The only drawback is that she is getting married that weekend so she is entirely off limits. When Tori finds out her fiancé plans to leave her at the altar she is absolutely devastated, but Andrew comes to her rescue and proves to her that her life isn’t totally crashing down around her despite how she feels right now.
"It was as essential as breathing. Tori was his oxygen and his lifeline. When she was around, he breathed. More than that, he lived. And right now, he'd never felt more alive.
Wow, did these two have instant chemistry. I loved the banter between them, and they were two characters that were far too easy to love. Andrew is commendable in his noble efforts to help Tori, but the passion these two share is something that is truly rare indeed and entirely undeniable. Not to give anything away, but a highlight for me was how much I loved that Jess gave Tori time to adjust to her new life after their weekend. Andrew was more romantic than I thought he was going to be at first, so I was pleasantly surprised by him. Overall, I just really loved that these two were brought together by a wonderful twist of fate, and I highly suggest you give this one a read. I did have to do a sneak peek on Jess's website just to be sure that Declan's book was coming after this, because I definitely think he is worthy of having his own book. I'm very eagerly awaiting what Jess has in store for him. :)

As I'm used to by Jess Dee RED RED WINE is hot, well-written and different from other erotic romances. Only Jess Dee can have a jilted bride hooking up with someone else within hours of finding out her fiancé is not going to marry her and make it emotionally believable and acceptable for me. I loved Andrew and his knickers-stealing ways. He was sweet, caring and dirty all in one package. I also loved Tori and how she didn't jump head fiirst into a new relationship but took her time to find herself and her independence.
Though SUMMER WINE is still my favorite in this series (hey...I have a weakness for ménages okay?) I really enjoyed this second book in the series. Next to the scorching sexy scenes and despite the mere 165 pages I wa streated to a lovely and emotional love story with backstories that made the characters relatable and gave them depth. It might have had an unconventional start but that's no surprise where Jess Dee's writing is concerned as she never takes the easy well-trodden path to her characters' HEA.
Memorable Scene: - the one in Andrew's room > as hot and dirty as should be expected from Jess Dee
Favorite Quotes: “You do have a great ass. But I could have told you that all along.” “You did tell me that.” “I did?” “Yeah. Right after you ran circles around me trying to check it out.” “I did not.” “Oh, yeah, sweetheart, you did too.” She frowned at him. “Don’t remember.” He chuckled. “I’m not terribly surprised.” “That I don’t remember or that I said you have a great ass?” “That you don’t remember. Your exact words were, ‘Great buns, and that’s not the wine talking. Although if wine could talk, I bet it would say the same thing’.” She blinked at him. “I said that out loud?” “You said that out loud.” She closed her eyes with a groan. “Oh, God. I know I thought it, I just never realized I’d vocalized it.” “You did,” he assured her. “Right before you told me I’d been wrong about the whole sexiest-ass-in-the-Hunter thingy.” “Thingy?” “Your word, not mine.”
It seemed to go on and on and on, shaking her all the way through to her bones. Violent tingles erupted in her groin, spreading through her body. The tremors that had overwhelmed her minutes ago now turned to full-blown shudders.
I am a huge Jess Dee fan and she never fails to deliver an awesome story and Red Red Wine, book 2 of her Tastes of Seduction series is no exception. This story was romantic, sexy and deliciously naughty that it had me swooning and wishing I was the heroine, Tori. I enjoyed the whole setup at the beginning which had me chuckling as Andrew didn't know what the heck was going on and I couldn't wait to find out myself. I liked how the author had these two meet and the attraction that sparked even though Tori was with someone else. Tori soon found out her fiancé's "true colors" and armed with a bottle of red wine, she plans on drowning her sorrows, but what she gets instead is more pleasure than she could ever imagine. Andrew and Tori had amazing chemistry and the gazebo scenes were romantic, sexy and scorching hot. Wow! The author sure knows how to write sex scenes that steams up my screen and has me panting for more *fans self* I loved how gentle and tender Andrew treated Tori and how special he made her feel. I also liked that they were able to talk to each other and Andrew's love for his parents and what he was going through with them broke my heart and got me all teary-eyed. I devoured this book in one sitting and loved every minute that Andrew and Tori were together and even apart as I had so much fun watching the scenes that led to their happily ever after. Another winner for Jess Dee and I cannot wait for the next book in this wonderful series.
Andrew's partner forces him to take a vacation as he's been working too hard. He sends Andrew to his winery for 5 days where on his arrival he meets a burst of sunshine named Tori. Only problem is that part of the reason she is so happy is that she is at the winery to get married. They have a definite chemistry as they flirt and laugh together. He wishes her well as they go their own ways, but can't get her out of his head. In the midst of wedding preparations Tori finds out something that makes her call off the wedding and she turns to Andrew for comfort. They find so much more than comfort late at night in the gazebo.
I so loved these two together. Talk about sizzling hot. Makes you want to go out and buy a gazebo. Jess has a way with writing scorching hot moments along with really sweet love stories and she definitely did with this one.
I had the honor of reading this in the raw. This is one of Jess Dee's most heartfelt love stories mixed in with some intense heat. I can't wait for the rest of the world to read about Tori and Andrew. They go through some pretty intense things together in a short amount of time (one week) that cements them to one another. Tori still thinks she's grieving a marriage that never happened and Andrew knows she's the one, but is too afraid to express it.
Love, love lost, love found. It's all in this tale beautifully written and woven through Jess Dee's perfect prose. You will enjoy this. I promise.
Tori is getting married to Declan. She is so happy. When she arrives at the hotel she meets Andrew. He is taken with her. He is disappointed when he learns that she is getting married. Then Tori finds out that Declan is not going to marry her. She is very hurt and gets drunk in the gazebo later that night. Andrew finds her. He makes her feel better. They end up spending the week together. They are so happy but Tori cannot accept them as a couple. She needs time to fully get over Declan. Three months later she sees Andrew's photo in the newspaper. She realizes how much she misses him. She goes back to the hotel again and hopes that he shows up? Will he?
I am a big fan of Jess Dee & this book hasn't changed anything! This book is so well written & authentic. Tori is a jilted bride when her fiance admits he doesn't love her two days before the wedding! Andrew is there for Tori, and their fierce attraction to each other takes over! What ensues is nothing short of amazing & hot as hell! Somehow through her writing, Jess makes their relationship a believable one and makes it"ok". Tori is heartbroken and unsure & Andrew is devilishly handsome & dirty at the same time! I just love them both and cant wait for the next "chapter"!!
Red Red Wine (Tastes of Seduction #2) by Jess Dee is a truly hot erotic romance. This is my first read from Ms. Dee and it certainly will not be the last. This story opens with a bang and just continues to entertain until the very last paragraph. Authors that can successfully RRWblend an interesting story with eroticism is a rare talent, and Ms. Dee presents this winning combination beautifully.
Loved it! What can I say. Honestly. If someone had tried to sell me the story of a jilted bride getting it on with an almost stranger THE SAME NIGHT she'd been unceremoniously dumped by her fiance I would have laughed and said NEXT. Jess Dee has written a perfectly erotic, yet believable coming together of these two main characters. And believe it or not, despite wanting to hate Declan I just couldn't. I think there's a story to tell here as well, and I hope he will also get his HEA.
This is a fabulous story. I love how the characters meet and how it looks like they will miss their chance. But lo and behold Jess throws in a switch. Late night meetings never sounded so good. Be sure to check out this second book of the series.
I stayed up extremely late determined to finish the book. I was dying to see how it ended. That basically means I loved the book. Jess does not disappoint, she writes erotic romances......AND they are for sure H-O-T! I loved the chemistry between Ando and Tori!!!
New author for me. Yes, there's lots of sex in this short novel/long novella, but the other interaction between hero and heroine was enough for me to believe in their love. I very much liked the author's voice and would like to read more.
Super hot and sexy scenes but the story line itself was kind of sub par. I don't feel like I really knew Tori very well. I really liked Andrew though, thought he was really strong character.
I loved this story and how the couples interact with each other, i felt so bad for tori and at times i really wanted to slap Declan but i totally fell in love with Andrew, a must read.
I voluntarily read this advanced readers copy of this book. I just couldn't put it down once I started reading it. Strong characters and great story line. I can't wait to read more of this series.
Jess Dee is the queen of erotic novellas and this one is no longer xception. Andrew and Tori heated things up while getting in some romance and love. Simply wonderful!
You will need a cold shower, fan, loved one while reading this story. As most Jess Dee books are, this one is smoking hot. The chemistry between Andrew and Tori is smoldering hot. Definitely makes an insanely hot read quick and very interesting. This book is one that follows the adage, when you know, you know. I loved their chemistry and immediate connection. They were perfect together - sweet, flirty, sexy, compassionate. And I liked how the Declan situation was handled. This was a great story from beginning to end.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.
